What an amazing experience and a ton of fun. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. It is a very family friendly and open atmosphere. My kids and I took the 4 hour entry level Blacksmithing - All levels and it was a great place to start. No time was wasted and after the safety briefing we were hammering steel within 10 minutes of the classes start time. We all chose to make Viking knives (see photos) and all three of us were able to complete the projects with time to spare. We spent the rest of the class time learning how to make traditional square nails. These are a great skill builder. While it was certainly hot I have nothing but positive things to say. It was a great afternoon with my kids and I am certainly looking forward to coming back for more classes! If you have any interest in crafting things give this a shot you will not be disappointed!

Amazing experience! Friendly and helpful staff! As a huge fan of Forged in Fire, I was super excited to go to my first class and it was even better than I could have imagined it. Once you go once, you are hooked.

For 3 beginners with no experience in the trade at all, our instructor Brian was awesome! He was patient, friendly & knowledgeable. What a great experience. If you watch Forged in Fire then taking a class is an opportunity you shouldnt pass up. Getting instruction from a FIF champion was a real highlight. In case youre wondering, its a family atmosphere and you will be made to feel at home.

I took a beginning blacksmithing class. Ron was great. He was friendly and very helpful teacher. I observed how well he worked with the 12 year old in our class also.

Just finished the first, of what I hope is many more classes at Kilroys Workshop. What a fantastic experience! Blacksmithing is something I have always wanted to learn more about, and my class with Ron gave me a headfirst dive right into the process. Ron is super friendly and professional from the moment you walk through the doors and throughout the lesson, explains things in a way that is both easy to understand and more importantly, easy to employ. I had a great time and would highly recommend Kilroys Workshop to anyone interested in the variety of teachings they offer or anyone just looking to have a great time!!

The instructors were knowledgeable, considerate and easy to understand. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and had a blast in their blacksmithing class.

We came down from Golden just for the beginner class, and it was well worth it! Super interesting and fun. Everyone was so helpful. If I lived closer Id go more often.

Welding and smithing is so fun and we learn so much. My sister forged a knife and I forged a bunch of little nails. We had a really great time overall and Eli, one of the blacksmiths, was very helpful.

This place is wonderful. Their one day knife forging class was awesome. My wife and I are definitely coming back! I recommend everyone to go and try out forging or welding here!

What an absolutely amazing place with incredible staff. If youve ever been interested in metal work and wanted to learn from true artists who make you feel welcome, there is no better place.

My son bought me a session for my birthday. I had no idea what I was getting into, but this place is 🔥. Made a viking knife during a 3 hour session where the employees helped me correct my mistakes and create something really cool. Definitely a great gift for someone who likes working with their hands. Suggest bringing your own leather gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection.

I have never done any type of blacksmithing or even seen the show Forged in Fire. After the beginning class i have a new appreciation and fascination for blacksmithing. The atmosphere wasnt as strict as I thought it would be and allowed me to feel comfortable asking questions and just doing it. I highly recommend just getting out there are trying it. Ron is an excellent wealth of knowledge and i will be going back for more classes in the future. Thank you for making my birthday gift one to remember.

My 11 year old son got a class as a Christmas gift and I truly think it was the best gift ever. The three hour class was totally enjoyable and made a lasting impression on him. He was so excited to go and the staff made it a great experience. I would recommend this to anybody interested in forging metal..a great family friendly establishment.. Will be going back!!

I took one of there sword classes and was very pleased. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Extremely good experience! Have been wanting to get into blacksmithing for about 4 years now. Bit the bullet and bought the 80$ your choice class on 10/12. I will say its worth every penny.From the get go, you feel extremely welcome into the shop. They run a family business and you feel like family while youre there. I unfortunately had to run out to an appointment afterwards or I would have loved to stop and talked more. Also really want to buy a shirt so have to go back!Strongly recommend you try it out regardless of age, even if you dont think its for you! I will be back, hopefully in late November when the blisters heal!

All of Rons staff shine with the upmost genuine passion for their trade and are full of willingness to help everyone succeed to their fullest potential! I highly recommend any and all of their classes for kids of all ages (9-99).

What an incredible day! I walked into a lesson at Kilroys Workshop with zero blacksmithing experience and left with a high carbon steel knife (complete with hardwood handle) that I made myself! Matt is an amazing teacher and balances modeling technique with giving you lots of freedom to experience everything for yourself. From the first minute to the last, you really get to own every part of the process and I cant wait to get back! Highly recommended for makers of all kinds!

Its a good safe environment you can easily learn a lot about the art of blacksmithing thanks to the great teachers and can learn plenty of life skills they can use in life!
