Visited from Springfield, MO with a group of five and were welcomed by everyone at Cavalo. Professor Zach spent time with each of us and provided individualized instruction for each of our games. His gym is very clean with excellent mats for rolling.His brothers, Levi and Ezra, were also there and provided guidance and assistance with technique and strategy for each of us.We had a great experience and will be making another trip to learn from Zach and everyone else at Cavalo. Would recommend this school for your BJJ game no matter where you are in your journey!!

Great gym culture; competitive and motivating, but still friendly. The instruction is top notch, Ive grown a lot on both a technical and physical level.

Zach does a great job helping kids develop into better versions of themselves. He stresses focus, discipline and sportsmanship, which is something kids need more of these days. While the classes are fun, they also learn valuable skills that will serve them well for the rest of their lives.

I visited Cavalo BJJ while traveling. The teaching is great, the jiu jitsu is legit, and the people are friendly and welcoming. Instruction included both traditional, self-defense oriented techniques, and modern competition-oriented techniques.The facility is very clean with comfortable mats and a changing room. Very welcoming Gym. Zach Lenon, professor at cavalo is awesome. I was a weary traveler looking to train. Zack was extremely inviting and quick with a joke. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone in the area looking to train. For all levels of Brazilian jujitsu.

Its a great and very professional place, both of my kids trained there for almost three years and had improved tremendously. This place was recommended to us by our previous coach when we moved to Columbia! Now after moving again to a different state we have tried three places and couldnt even find a place close to it!

I HAPPENED TO BE IN THE COLUMBIA AREA FOR BUSINESS AND STOPPED IN TO CHECK OUT THE SCHOOL AND SEE ONE OF THE CLASSES. WITHIN A FEW MINUTES I HAD THE MAIN INSTRUCTOR COME INTRODUCE HIMSELF AND STRUCK UP A CONVERSATION. I EXPLAINED THAT I WAS A WHITE BELT WHO HADNT BEEN TRAINING THAT LONG AND HE QUICKLY INVITED ME TO COME BACK THE NEXT TIME I WAS IN TOWN AND TRAIN WITH HIS STUDENTS. HE WAS A SUPER NICE GUY AND THOUGH IM ONLY IN THE AREA A FEW DAYS OUT OF THE YEAR I FULL INTEND ON TAKING HIM UP ON HIS GENEROUS OFFER THE NEXT TIME IM IN TOWN!

Very welcoming gym. I can tell they care about the development of the martial art, and not just trying to make money. I highly recommend if visiting from out of town.

I moved from Kansas City to Columbia 8 months ago and continued my training at Cavalo based on my former coaches recommendation. From day one Zack and his students have welcomed me into the gym and have been wonderful to train with.There are a three black belts that train/coach at this location which is absolutely amazing to be exposed to that level of experience during every class!I have also enrolled my 4 year old daughter into the kids class and it doesn’t disappoint!I would encourage anyone considering training to stop in and check out Cavalo! You will not be disappointed!

Cavalo BJJ has been an awesome experience. Zach and each of the Professor’s provide a welcoming environment full of structure, discipline and fun. There is great focus and attention on fully understanding each technique before moving on. The techniques are incrementally applied and practiced with various partners of skill levels in a respectful manner.

High Level instruction in a safe, clean, inviting atmosphere. Fantastic program for kids 4 and up which teaches great skills for self defense or tournaments while implementing respect and confidence.Adult classes are well instructed whether it is your first class or you are a seasoned practitioner.Everyone has been very kind, helpful and display a great respect for their academy and one another.

Was in town on business and reached out to Cavalo for their nogi class. Got a quick reply allowing me to stop on in. Busy place for sure and class was enjoyable. Easy going group. I will stop in again when Im in the area.

Cavalo BJJ offers excellent demonstrations of Ju-jitsu technique which can be used for self-defense and competition. The positive atmosphere also makes it a great place to meet friends.

I was nervous at first, but when I went in everyone was quite friendly. I have learned quite a bit of good self-defense techniques which is always good to have, and its quite enjoyable.

No matter how hard my day is I know i have jui jitsu at Cavallo to look foreword to in the evening. Great atmosphere for learning brought on by coach Lennon and the friendly people that train there.

Zack is a great instructor - he takes the time to explain movements multiple ways addressing any questions students may have. He is very hands on during the class and helps students address any issues they encounter with the movements.

Excellent Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym right here in Mid-Missouri! The Lenon brothers are world class Blackbelts bringing the best coaching and instruction in Missouri! Gym has a great laid back feel, but you can also get that extra hard training push if you want. The folks at the gym really make you feel at home.
