Great School District!Five of my Six children have graduated from RSD2. The other continues to receive her education here. There are challenges wherever to go. However, with parental involvement, things get better!

Fantastic school district for special education! My son has had the great fortune to a receive top-notch education in this district. All of the teachers he has had have been really good at their jobs and have made great strides at integrating the special education students with the general education students whenever possible or appropriate. Plus, my son has had two teachers named Rookie Teacher of the Year by the SC Council for Exceptional Children. We are fortunate to live in this district.

I have not had a single issue as we helped my teenager get back on the right track! I was given nothing but guidance and support! ! Thank you all for looking out for our babies!

Lisa Blackwell in the registers office is EXTREMELY RUDE! I’ve been trying to get my daughter enrolled in Spring Valley for over a month due to my new home being built and due to be completed early October. I’ve sent numerous emails with all the documents she has required of me as well as left several messages. Today on my second attempt of visiting the district office to speak to her, I finally spoke to her. Only for her to have been very short with me and tell me that my situation wasn’t a priority. School starts in less than 2 weeks and I still don’t have an answer. Even so if she doesn’t want to allow the zone transfer because of my address change there is a system in place for us active duty members so I still hold a stand. My experience was very unprofessional today and I am so embarrassed at the way she handles her parents. I am simply trying to prevent my daughter of having to switch schools in the middle of a school year I’d like to think that is a priority. Especially after trying to get this accomplished for over a month.

Horrible!!! Everyine tries to pass the buck to someone else so they dont have to do their job and help you get to the correct person.

Great district for advanced education. Lots of magnet opportunities, special programs, and extra-curricular activities. Become involved!

I think that girl should of been suspended for her actions. She was being disrespectful and CHOSE not to do what she was told which all were simple enough to follow. I feel the school is setting a bad example and thats the problem now. Kids are doing what they want when they want and they dont care how disrespectful or disruptive they are being. The girls bad behavior is excused when it should of been a definately suspension along with an arrest for the assault on the officer. Shame on the school board for not doing the right thing.

Richland School District 2 rarely hire any BLACK teachers but yet black parents rush to put their children in that district because theyre thinking its better. Racist, racist, racist!

They make you take your child way out of the way if you get into the pre-k. As much as I would spend for my child to go to a private pre-k school I would be paying for in gas because they refuse to pick my child up and also refuse to put a pre-k classroom at polo road elementary school. Way to go public schools.
