I always wanted to learn how to dance. I am so lucky I am learning here. The quality of instruction is outstanding. The instructors and coaches both encourage and challenge you. They know everything there is to know about ballroom dancing. And the place…. The place! It is so beautiful and inspiring. I have been coming here 3 months and learned 9 different dances, how to follow, and been in a beautiful showcase number. Dancing makes your heart sing like nothing else can.

My first time dancing in my whole life was with Danceville! The place was so nice, and everything detail oriented! Going into it I was very nervous and insecure that I was going to look silly, but I was quickly comfortable and confident in knowing I was in good hands. I have taken lessons from multiple instructors and each one of them offer something special. It also feels like a family environment and they take you in as one of them, which is so comforting for shy people like myself. I would recommend Danceville over any studio, and they truly love what they do!

Danceville is THE place to go for dance lessons. The studio is gorgeous, the staff are top notch and you could not ask for a more warm and inviting atmosphere. Start with a private introductory lesson or attend one of their many group classes but get yourself there. We have been having a ball since we started last fall.

My husband and I started as new clients back in July ,the instructors are very nice however the front receptionists are are always different girls and seem disorganized or rude which made our experience less pleasant. The lessons are costly ,and I wish we didnt feel the pressure of commitment to 12 lessons.

After getting the introductory deal almost three years ago at Gallery Hop, Danceville did not give up calling my boyfriend and I, which I appreciated!! We took the two intro classes with Anastasia who was excellent. She was willing to come in during a time they dont usually have lessons just to accommodate our schedule. My boyfriend and I got free drinks while there, and were introduced to several dance styles (including turns!!). I loved it so much. Anastasia was super encouraging as well. Unfortunately the lessons are too expensive for my boyfriend and I (especially since we are experiencing a pandemic, which cannot be helped), but I hope to be able to take lessons in the future once I am able to get a job!! Definitely 10/10 great experience. Can’t wait to go back someday!

Our dance lessons provide the perfect date night! The staff is welcoming, the location is wonderful, and everyone weve met in the past few years makes the studio a great social spot as well. All experience levels, from toe-crushing to competition, have a place. Well worth stopping in to check it out when in the Short North.

My wife and I did the starter package for $20, and after the 1st lesson we signed up for 5 lessons to learn a choreographed dance. I admit the lessons become quite a bit more expensive after the initial package, however I believe it was worth it. We have zero rhythm, and dancing experience, but we shocked the whole crowd with our 1st dance. The staff ensured we had a drink in our hand as soon as we walked in. Nico was our instructor, and he did an excellent job, and the lessons make a great date night.

The best dance studio in Columbus! Danceville is my home away from home and my favorite place to be. The instructors are positive and always make you feel welcome. The staff feels like one big family who are always excited to see you come in. It doesnt matter what skill level youre at, this place makes dance feel fun, free, and enjoyable. They frequently have amazing master coaches come in and they also throw the best dance parties. I highly recommend you visit, attend a party, or take private lessons. I love this place and I promise you will too!!

I was a student at this studio for over a year and a half. I had a great experience but ultimately had to quit because of price.The instructors are very knowledgeable about ballroom dance and its incredible to see how far people come from taking lessons here. A lot of the teachers compete professionally on the weekends too. The atmosphere is wonderful and inviting and you truly feel like a family once you really get plugged in. They always offer you a glass of wine as soon as you walk in.Ultimately I couldnt give this place 5 stars because of the high pressure sales tactics that start Day 1. After your 2 for $20 package the price skyrockets. Youll go from paying $10 per lesson to over $150. Its not just the price of lessons, but its the master classes, showcase tickets and parties that you get pressured to commit to. They can be great experiences, but the cost begins to add up quickly. I understand that these master classes are taught by former champions, but I was getting calls at home asking me to sign up and to take care of the payment over the phone.Also dont be fooled by many of the reviews left here. A lot of them are instructors or family members of instructors.

Ive been a student at the Studio for over a year now and was part of 3 other studios over the past 15 years. This studio is fantastic. They instructors are all highly professional and very accomplished. Not just good dancers but good teachers too, which dont always go hand in hand. Each teacher is great but they all have different styles and focuses when teaching and as a result you can get a wide range of education.On top of private tuition there are great group classes and parties and shows and big events.My favorite thing is how personable they all are. A lot of studios take themselves far too seriously. While everyone there is a serious dancer and a consummate professional none of them are above having a laugh and enjoying themselves.One criticism Ive heard is cost. Thats fair, dancing is not a cheap hobby. However, the prices here are reasonable and they are accommodating. Any studio is expensive for your average person but its more than worth it.Come, learn, dance, have a wonderful time.

My first experience at Danceville was quite a fantastic one! I recently attended their showcase to help with photography and felt welcomed. The staff’s level of professionalism was stellar and the students were very charming. Throughout the night I felt that the staff were truly dedicated to creating an environment that gave the students and spectators a sense of belonging. The students did a remarkable job and you could sense a great deal of accomplishment! I’m thankful for the opportunity to work, even for a short few hours, with a lovely group of people!

Im from New York City and looked up things to while on vacation in Ohio and I found Danceville, U.S.A. and I had so much fun!! The staff is very welcoming, friendly and made me feel at ease while learning to dance. Theyre professional and I had no idea that they produce talent thats been on Dancing with the Stars!!! The atmosphere is very relaxed and honestly, I felt like I was at home there. My instructor, Anastasia was amazing to work with and she gave me notes to go home with!! We love Danceville! The instructors are fun and do a great job of making you feel comfortable and teaching to your skill level. Ah Danceville, USA! Where to begin. I had zero dance experience, and relatively little desire to learn dance. (I have very, very minimal talents in coordination and rhythm/all things dance related.) I did really enjoy the company of my girlfriend at the time, however, and she had always spoken about how she loved dance. Shes much prettier than I, so I figured why not, dance lessons it is! Plus, its located in a nice little spot tucked away in the Short North area which we love. We were set up with an introductory lesson with Tatiana (who happens to have an infectious enthusiasm/incredible sense of humor/boundless patience/etc.), and were also introduced to the rest of the wonderful staff.Over a year later, at this point my wife and I, have continued to take lessons with the wonderful Tatiana, and have enjoyed every minute. It has become our weekly date night in the middle of our somewhat hectic/crazy schedules, and we couldnt be more impressed by the entire staff. Theres an atmosphere that the staff have created that is truly welcoming and unassuming while still maintaining a professionalism that ensures you are in good hands in achieving your goals.Also of note, we have taken a few classes with Kylie and shes all sorts of amazing as well! Really, everyone we have met seem like wonderful people and Im sure whether you are searching for an awesome teacher, meeting new, lovely people, or just having a great time, you will no doubt find it here.

From the first day I walked in I was in love with this studio. The interior is ornate yet welcoming, and the teachers and managers are all very kind and genuine. I attended their most recent showcase in the beginning of January and was blown away by the production. They had incredible numbers and had invited the top professionals to do a show at the end. It was an amazing and unique experience!

Ive been dancing since I was 13 years old under many teachers in multiple states and countries, and nobody compares in skill, professionalism and authenticity to the teachers at Danceville. My daughter and her fiance took lessons at Danceville USA in preparation for their wedding. Tony Meredith, the dance director, choreographed their wedding dance. He is such a nice guy as well as being a fantastic dancer and instructor! Everyone at the wedding reception commented on the dance and how it was like watching Dancing With The Stars. I had never seen my daughter or her husband do any ballroom dancing before, and I was AMAZED at their dancing - I thought I was watching professionals who had been dancing all their lives. I highly recommend Danceville USA for everyone - whether you are preparing for a special occasion like a wedding or just want to feel more comfortable on the dance floor. Wohoooo!! Danceville is fun stuff. My wife is the Marketing Director. I help out at showcases, sometimes even dance in them. They put on excellent events and I’m so impressed by the professional couples they fly in from all over the country & world. My wife and I did wedding dance choreography as well, totally worth it as it turned out amazing and will be a sweet memory forever. Overall, Danceville knows how to throw a party, treat students like VIPs, and help you grow and feel confident dancing.

My wife and I were looking to take dance lessons prior to our wedding in order to make our first dance look nice. I was really disappointed with our experience at Danceville USA. We bought a two class introductory lesson with the intention of buying a multi-class package. The lesson was not great. We were taught a few basic dance steps and the instructor spent at least half of the lesson talking to us about unrelated topics. This was the first red flag, as lessons here are not cheap, so Id rather spend the class time learning rather than talking.Worse though, was the high pressure sales pitch that followed the lesson. I couldnt wait to get out of there and not look back. I think the instructor spent so much time casually talking to us to try to build a rapport, but in this case, they would have been more successful by letting the service speak for itself. This place might be better for those that are more seasoned dancers, but we had a far more pleasant experience elsewhere.Edit responding to the owner: It appears that you guys have a pattern of reviews that are very similar to mine on Yelp, and yet it seems youve done little to respond to these concerns in practice. Your accusatory responses do little to support your business in the long run.

Danceville showcases are a one of a kind spectacular show! The instructors and students are amazing, so professional on all levels. The routines are choreographed and executed to perfection with so much fun as well! I cant wait to see what is coming next, keep up the amazing work!

I recently signed up for lessons at Danceville and have been so happy with my experience here. I was quite nervous to start dancing, but they made me feel really welcome when I came in for my first lesson. They offered me something to drink and were so friendly! My lesson was so fun and I didnt have to feel weird about not having a dance partner because my instructor was my partner! My boyfriend and I just broke up so it was exactly what I needed for a boost of confidence. So glad I am taking lessons here!

The ambiance is perfect for a ballroom dance studio. The instructors are knowledgeable about the art of ballroom dance and pay close attention to their students when teaching technique. From the first moment I entered the studio I felt warm and welcomed by all. Individual lessons are great to learn technique and the group classes are loads of fun offering an opportunity to practice new skills.

I danced here for about 7 months before I had to leave the studio. I left the studio in order to attend school in Dayton. My time at Danceville U.S.A was amazing. Everyone was always so nice to me and patient. They make sure to look at the positives of your growth in dancing instead of focusing on the negative. The studio became a second family to me and I met amazing people through the different events held. Danceville gave me the confidence I never knew I had. I cannot wait to return to dancing after I finish my second degree. I miss everyone at the studio and dancing. However, I’ll now dance my way to a career in healthcare with a newfound confidence. Wow, what an experience! I’ve started lessons with my fiancée recently and have been having the time of our lives. We were invited into the studio during gallery hop. A short walk off of high street and we were welcomed in to a jaw dropping space, chandeliers sparkling in every corner, beautiful artwork, and offered a special deal on starter lessons-20 bucks to try out two lessons. We had a great time on our first lesson with our instructor who taught us salsa and rumba. Continuing into the next course was, of course, a higher cost but I do believe it will be well worth every penny. We plan on learning moves for our wedding in addition to making this our regular date night as I don’t think there is a better way to continue to fall in love with my fiancée than having fun on the dance floor. If you haven’t been, I insist you try it out!

The worst service I’ve ever had. My mother felt sick and they wouldn’t let her use the restroom even though we paid for lessons. One of the workers was extremely rude to me when I asked if my mother could sit in a chair and told us to leave. Awful service. If I was aloud to give zero stars I would.

I love this place. I have 2 left feet but these instructors have the ability to make you feel good about who you are no matter what level you are at. I am a business professional with 35 years in industry (no dance background ever) and this studio has learned to truly delight their customers with the service they bring to the end user. My husband and I took lessons for our first dance at the studio and loved it. The instructor who helped us out was extremely nice and made us feel comfortable in what could have been an embarrassing situation for both of us! She taught us some basic steps which helped us get through, and even acquiesced to our request for a Dirty Dancing style lift (modified of course) at the end for a grand finale! I have nothing but great things to say about Danceville USA.

Danceville USA is a great place to learn ballroom dancing... The staff is excellent, they regularly bring in renowned instructors for Master Classes, and the parties are a lot of fun. Even if youre having a bad day... you can show up grumpy and tired, but you leave happy and energized.

Danceville is fabulous. The private lessons are definitely the way to go- Ive learned so much in only a few lessons and always leave feeling wonderful. I imagine its the same feeling that runners get with a runners high, except I dont like to run and love to dance :D The instructors can work with any level of dance experience and will tailor your lessons to what you want to learn- salsa, waltz, swing, tango, and anything else you could possibly think of. If you have even the slightest interest, do it.

One Gallery Hop night last a few years ago, not long after Danceville opened, we wandered in and were impressed with what we saw. The location is stellar for a date night (right in the heart of the Short North), the dance floor is brand new in great shape, large mirrors everywhere, and style galore. I love the look of the sparkling chandeliers against the more rustic corrugated metal and exposed ceilings. We had been looking for something fun to do on date night rather than the usual, so when they offered a great intro package, we bit.Our first lesson with Tatiana was fantastic! Here we are, a year and a half later, still taking lessons with Tati every Monday! We look forward to our lesson every week, knowing that we will spend 45 minutes, laughing, learning, bonding away from our little kiddos, and doing something new. We love taking private lessons because we work on whatever dances we are most interested in and it goes at our pace. We also enjoy that our instructor teaches each of us at an appropriate level, giving my husband one thing to work on, while I get my own goal for that lesson. A few weeks she was away and we took from a few of the other instructors, and I can definitely tell you that you cannot go wrong. What a talented and engaging staff they have.The studio also offers group lessons, master classes, and parties. If you take private lessons the group classes are free, and its always a good idea to mix it up and dance with other partners. We attended the NYE party the past two and it was to the nines! They decorate like mad, bring in lighting and catering, and entertain well. The lineup of master classes and celebrity lessons is a star-studded selection. They fly in lots of champions and experts in ballroom dancing to teach specialized topics in all forms of dance. We always get so much out of these opportunities.Parking can be tough, but thats the case anywhere in the short north, so I cant really fault them on that. You can look for a meter on High or Lincoln, and if that falls short, its not a long walk from The Hub. The negative parking experience is definitely countered with the opportunity to dine and enjoy a night out before or after your lesson. Youre in very close proximity to many date-night restaurants, shopping, and bars. Who doesnt love a night of dinner, dancing, and drinking!

Aah, Danceville USA, where do I begin? First let me say that Danceville is an invitingly warm, beautiful studio filled with talented, charming teachers! When I was a little girl growing up in a small town, the only dance instruction was a teacher who visited our town and taught tap dance for 8 weeks. Then there were the 6 ballroom lessons I won at Arthur Murray in the nearby larger town. I still remember the thrill of waltzing around the ballroom. After that, dance was just a dream, something I watched in movies and on TV. Of course there were the teenage school dances with the Jitterbug, Twist, Swim, The Bird, The Bristol Stomp and the like. And I did revel in watching my daughter dance on stage, my consolation! Then last April at a fund raiser for the Columbus Children’s Theatre, I bid on and won introductory lessons at Danceville. After just one lesson, I was hooked! it was a dream come true; I could learn to dance! So here it is five months later and I am rehearsing for an honest to goodness “dance recital” better known as the January “Love” Student Showcase! Dance has brought a new joy to my life, given me more energy, better posture and a belief that all things are possible if you choose to make them so. Thank you Keith, Kylie, Tatiana and Tony for helping my dream come true! You are the best!

From there you can sign up for private lesson packages that also give you access to group lessons and parties on Friday nights that are always a blast. The staff is incredibly talented and fun to work with, especially my teacher, Tatiana. Ive had fun, learned to ballroom dance. and made many good friends at Danceville.
