Read this through to the end for an honest review.Ive had the opportunity to listen in on Lectures and exchanges with staff members to students throughout covid-19. I am a nurse and live with a student attending this university. The instructors are great from what I have listened to in nursing lecture. 99% of them are awesome, there was only one professor that I overheard that I hope I never have to run into in the professional world due to how she talked to her students. What truly drove me to do this review however was hearing how the individual in charge of obtaining clinical sites was speaking to students recently. They are having issues securing sites (as do the majority of nursing schools like this.) Due to competing with other schools and covid complicating matters. When the students respectfully verbalized their concerns about scheduling the times for clinical so they can have child care or work schedules sorted out the coordinator said well you know what you got into when you got into nursing school. Also refusing to work with students on the schedules because if we do it for you, we have to do it for everyone else. These students must be able to pay for their nursing school costs. They need to know and be able to schedule around clinical times. They were not asking for much. Students who are paying a very large sum of money should not have to risk their jobs outside of school due to this employees lack of preparation. She was extremely condescending to the students who asked valid questions and voiced concerns. Her actions also goes against the commercials you hear on the radio what if a school cared about its students like a nurse cares about its patients? The instructors have been phenomenal. Ive never met them but I love them and have enjoyed listening to their lectures. Front staff and financial have been amazing.

Before choosing a nursing school I researched, researched, and you guessed it, did more research. I wanted to make sure I was making the best decision for my family and I. At the end of the day I chose Chamberlain for it’s accelerated BSN program and no wait list. However, once I started I realized that Chamberlain is so much more. I found professors that are supportive on many levels and want us to succeed as much as we want to be nurses. Every time I walk through the campus doors I am greeted by friendly faces of fellow students and professors who genuinely care. Between the many resources and helpful staff Chamberlain has to offer, question do not go unanswered and I am feeling more and more confident in the nurse I am becoming!

I love this school so much more than words can say! The faculty and staff are AMAZING; when they say we are a family, they truly mean it. Everyone stops you in the hall to chat and see how things are going, and they are all willing to help you in any ways you may be struggling, whether its academic or personal. Tutoring services are part of your tuition, and they have helped me improve my studying and test taking techniques so much! The curriculum is challenging, exciting, and always improving. The campus is small, inclusive, diverse, and culturally aware, and the administration TRULY listens to student feedback to improve student and academic life in every way they can. I am proud to be a Chamberlain student, and look forward to being a Chamberlain graduate!

Horrifying experience. Avoid at all cost! The worst part of the entire process was that they blatantly lied to my face. We gave them a sealed envelope with two items inside of it (one for them, one for us). Then, when we asked for our copy back they said the envelope only had one copy in it.So we got in touch with the organization that sent the envelope, and they verified that there were two items in it. Hoping to resolve the issue, they got in touch with Chamberlain.Chamberlain claimed that they did give the envelope back, and that our copy of the item was in the envelope when they did.So, the lying expletive expletive people at Chamberlain lied to both us and the other company, when the real culprit was that someone in their office had probably lost the item.Avoid, avoid at all costs. I cannot stress that enough. This college and the entire staff will lie to your face, take your money, and laugh all the way to the bank.

Yeah before going to this school I would recommend looking at their graduation rate before deciding whether to go there or not. In my opinion the teachers were very intimidating and difficult to approach. ALSO I just looked at their graduation rate on their website 11%!!!! graduation rate is 11% PLEASE do not let these people rip you off and take your money. This school is FOR-PROFIT they do not care if you graduate or not all they want is their money.

This school is a nightmare! I attended Chamberlain only to find out that after they get your money they treat you like crap! They pick-and-choose favorites and who they let repeat a class, or not. It is racially biased and prejudicial! I had heard negative things but chose to give it a try...now 2 years into my degree and $52,000 in debt, they decide to dismiss some students, while keeping other students for a second chance!! Completely just a poorly run business....they only care about your money, not the person and not about making successful nurses!!R U N !!!

Don’t waste your time and money here. I️ attended the school for a year and had to change because, the teachers are very very racist. if you are black or African please reconsider going to their campus in Columbus OH. The professors are very horrible and racist in particular Dr. Hunt.

I am actually wondering if the some of these reviews were created by people that ACTUALLY attended the Chamberlain College of Nursing Columbus campus, because some of the things that are being claimed are absolutely false! I am now a senior at Chamberlain and I love everything about it, except of course having to study. HAHA!Ok, so to clarify some things here; Yes, Chamberlain is a bit pricey compared to some of these other smaller schools, however the old saying goes and holds true that you get what you pay for! In Chamberlain we are a community of Nurses. Yes even as students we are groomed very early how to be professional nurses. We are taught to think critically and how to prioritize care for even the most critical patients early on. No, this is not easy and honestly for some people it just doesnt click. However, each and every professor go above and beyond to assist the students that are struggling and ensure they receive the appropriate techniques for their personal learning style to help aid in a better understanding of the material we are given. It is up to us as the student nurse to apply these teachings and analyze the material with every tool we have. Nursing is NOT easy and definitely not for the faint at heart. Each Professor has a higher degree and most have or are currently working on their doctorate. (they are clearly MORE THAN qualified to teach the profession) They also have what I have benefited from a help called Aspire. This is a separate program that is free to the students to utilize if so needed for resources needed in the community, or within the school to assist the student to be as successful as possible. I utilized it for a difficult time being a mother of now 5 very young children. My husband works out of town so I am basically raising all 5 of my children on my own. Aspire assisted me with therapy to help me to get organized, to get my time managed appropriately, and how to effectively handle lifes tasks with an accelerated Nursing program at hand. In addition they have the convenience of offering many of the courses online (I went straight for the BSN degree) and a CAS dept that assists the students with all types of hands on help with areas of weakness. So, you see, in this school, I am Trisha, not only a student, but a wife, mother, and fellow nurse. I am NOT just a seat or a number. For those of you that did not have a good experience I am truly sorry! However, I believe that Nursing is a calling and it is not for those so quick to give up. We get out of our passion what we put into it. We are being groomed to truly save lives, and will never come easy. PLEASE do your own research and do NOT rely on a few quick judgment calls that I find hard to believe they even spent time or utilized all these wonderful tools that Chamberlain has to offer. They truly are creating Extraordinary Nurses! I am proud to be called a Chamberlain Student Nurse!

Academic advisor wasnt honest about the total cost. The amount I owed out of pocket at the end of my first 8 weeks session was over $1,200 more than I was told. I was quoted the incorrect cost by them. I dont understand why I was not given close to accurate amount due up front. I was advised at the end of my eight weeks only one class can be dropped during my studies; therefore if I need to drop a class I would be Permanently DISSMISSED from Chamberlain. My GPA was 3.2. You only have a chance to drop one class during your entire studying experience at Chamberlain. Then, you will get a huge final bill from the college. This is indeed a Nursing School for Profit. Their learning techniques are very confusing. Also, take note that you will have exam questions from the States NCLex test during your first 8 weeks of studies. THE SCORES are recorded and a part of YOUR GRADE. If you fail the exams, their response is welcome to NCLex exams. How is a school allowed to test a student on material that’s not taught within the first 8 weeks? YOU CAN FAIL if you do not know advance nursing practices within the 1st 8 wks, so several students DROP OUT after the first 8 wks. LOOK AT THEIR GRADUATION RATE. If you decided to gamble and attend this school, make sure you ask the instructors what you should study prior to an exam, so you can go on YouTube and TEACH YOURSELF techniques and skills that are not covered in class at this level. So dont be surprised if exam questions are techniques you have not learned. Hopefully, your instructor will help direct you as to where to get the exams answers. School will have you scrambling to learn. The education value is not worth the expense you will pay. NOW it is $625.00/CREDIT HR if you are part time. Most students are part-time, due to credit calculations. Calculations are different than other colleges, INSANE!!! Furthermore, Chamberlains COMPUTER technology is HORRIBLE. DeVry should have the best technology; however, I was appalled to learn its out dated. Chamberlains computers kept CRASHING and it ran at TURTLE SPEEDS. My guess is there are too many students on their server causing problems. They need a bigger network and better servers to keep up with the pace of the 20th Century. I was constantly frustrated with their TECHNICAL PROBLEMS. This made it difficult and exhausting trying to turn in assignments. I was up all day and night trying to study and complete exams and assignments due to their computer problems. They recommended I use their on-site computer lab during business hours. Let me say the computer lab hours are not extended. Found out their LAB COMPUTERS ARE SLOW. They kept blaming my laptop and desktop computer but it was their SERVERS. Chamberlain has a few students that recommend their school. These students are idealistic because they survived and will graduate soon. Just ask them how difficult.....? Look at their facial expressions in order to get an idea. Hopefully, you will get some insight of their frustration studying at Chamberlain. Chamberlains successful students will admitt that the majority students DO NOT SURVIVE! Just get ready for the ride of your life if you are planning on going to Chamberlain. The instructors only see you once a week and they tell students to go to a tutoring lab where other nursing students can tutor you to keep up. The tutoring lab hours are not convenient either. If the coursework isnt the cause for high student failure rates, the out of pocket expenses will have the student STRESSED OUT. You have to pay your total outstanding balances by the end of each 8 weeks OR YOU CAN NOT REGISTER FOR YOUR NEXT CLASS. One student that had to drop told me the amount owed was over $3,000.00 after 8 wks. THAT’S INSANE!!! I paid $4,500.00 tuition, $300.00 books, $60 labs, $120.00 Stethoscope, $95.00 application fee, $70.00 BCI report, $25.00 miscellaneous fees for 8 weeks of education. INSANE!!! I DID NOT GET OVER $5000.00 WORTH OF AN EDUCATION IN 2 MONTHS. RIPP OFF!!! WARNING: DO YOUR MATH AND RECONSIDER!!
