This is a horrible school today I witnessed a teacher named ms.obrein throw a students water bottle away and continually she has been throwing other people stuff away she can put is aside but throw it away? She doesnt care for the students and i have seen a bunch of times students talking about her and wishing she was never there. The school in general is bad. Kids eat in the same gym room other kids sweat in. If something major happens they cover it up. Today there was a fight between 2 students and its the second week this school opened up its horrible they should get shut down very soon. Also in the website niche.com if you search Horizon Science Academy Middle School you will see the school has a c- its just bad.

Ive been teaching for 3 years at this school. Kids have a lot of opportunities to pick different elective classes, participate in sports, join clubs. Ive been running robotics club for 3 years and kids love it.

This school is the best it help you learn many of thing sports are fun here this can help you with many things the fun is here the events is really fun about this thing this help learn many of things i will go to this school all the time and the work here is fun to do with many activity.

They have great teachers really smart. The teachers are nice and respectful.

I believe this is a good school at times and it helps the students a lot with stuff they need help with.

I like when the teachers are really helpful wen i need. They are also really reasonable and also they like to be funny and have some fun. I also like how they have really educated classes like charecter ed and technolgy teaching you different things.

Explain to me how laughing gets you in trouble before i give a higher rating, and also i like how the teachers are gonna tell us to be silent 24/7, but then expect us not to talk. Then when we do talk, we get a higher punishment then we are supposed to get. Who even created the merit system?

I like horizon a lot even if i get in trouble but that because of me. Horizon is like a family to me. I love my class 6 cornell there funny and excited. You dont know what going to happend the next day u come in.

What i like about the school is the electives computer and gym are lit every day computer we get to play games when we finish our lesson. gym is fun because we get to play battle ball

Worst School I have sent my kid to. The teachers are the worst and barely speak English. It was so hard for my child to understand them...then she would get in trouble for asking too many questions. They have no control over the kids. Waste of my tax dollars.

As a robotic student of the school I really had fun with my Good Teacher Mr.Yasin.

Wont let kids express themselves how are they supposed to come to school and go someone in life if they are trapped and cant let their creativity flow. Trust me your child would not want to come here. The only deasant thing is the friends you make. But at the same time you can do that at any school

Hsa is one of the kind of a school have after school activities such as Rap club, Robotic club, Etc... Mr Tate is a good gym teacher and Mrs Gibson is a good assistant principle and Mrs rogers is a great strict teacher and HSA is buliding a family tree for us and everyone. ~Junior

Well, My school is cool(even tough not all kids find schools cool). Our school does not have a-lot of athletic clubs but we at-least have(as far as I know) a dance club, track/field, girls/boys basketball teams, and other sports clubs. That is because, our schools name is Horizon Science Academy Columbus Middle School and it includes 2 words Science Academy so, just by the name, you can tell that we focus more on education than athletics(thanks to our teachers that have athletics clubs- theyre so nice to spend their free-time on us). Our school focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. But by my school experience, (currently an 8th grader- my third years experience) I think our school focuses on character the most. (Of-course the ones who can learn from it gain a-lot but the ones who dont just stand there and complain). And our teachers, they are strict when its class time but when were in trouble and need help for something, even if its personal, they are always there for you. Most importantly, We have CYSP( concept youth scholarship program). Our teachers take time off of their weekend to spend time with us and prepare us for collage(of-course they understand the students feelings and plan fun trips for us, instead of just the educational ones!!). In CYSP we dont just study, we spend more time with the teachers and our friends which makes our friendship-bonds and teacher-student bonds great. Teachers trust and scold us like their own child(mabye not for the untrust-worthy ones, JK😂😂). So, yeah! Overall it was a good school the teacher taught me well but the rules go overboard but hsa is familly after all i did go for nearly 8 years!

This is the best school with great learning abilities for students this school got me to my g.p.a goal of 3.67 the teachers connect with the student with great manners when there in need of help. i recommend this school for upcoming middle school students!- edit : i’m a junior now and i wrote this review 3 years ago and they made a lot of the students write good reviews on the school for snacks lol. DONT COME TO THIS SCHOOL 😭✋

I hated this school Everytime something bad happens like major the school covers it up and when inspector is there they cancel detentions and stuff just to look like a good school to the public but trust me it aint and the kid are theifts about 40 kids got referrals for stealing candy and there is like 400 kids at the school but the staff are dick they got there pannies in a bunch theres like 4 nice teachers in the whole school so to summarize the school staff is bad and the school kids are bad the school is just bad
