I know you may say it sounds too good to be true when it says Free of Cost to you, but it really is true. They helped me get my CompTIA A+ and Google IT Support certifications. Attending Per Scholas is such a great opportunity; whether you are unemployed, under employed, or just looking to make a positive change in your life. The standard class is a fifteen week program focusing on CompTIA A+ and Network+ certification in the IT field. This is not a scam, and it is 100% free to attend. The textbook is free, the CompTIA exams are paid for, and the teachers are so knowledgeable and helpful. As they like to say you only pay with your time. The classes are Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm, and the attendance policy is fairly strict. Do not let that deter you. The time you put in is well worth it. From day one I could really tell the staff had a vested interest in our education and our success after receiving our certifications. My class is very diverse, and everyone had a different level of IT knowledge when we started. If you want to make a change in your life and your career, there are few better places you can do it than Per Scholas. I was going through a really tough time in my life when I started, and I could not recommend them more.

Per Scholas is not typical run of the mill training program, its in depth, detailed and extremely educational. The staff are especially helpful and always nice and willing to help. This has been the best learning experience Ive ever had. I wont get too detailed but Ive learned wonderful study habits, the instructor is lively and the material is quite interesting. I got accepted in the 31st class at the Columbus, Ohio Per Scholas. They are a nonprofit organization that take people who are unemployed, or underemployed, and put them through a 15 week training course. The course teaches you about IT to get you ready to take the CompTIA Exams. Depending on the class you pick you will have the opportunity to get either a certificate in A+, or certificates in A+ and Network+.The staff at Per Scholas are great. They all have made me feel welcome, and they all have been very professional. Right now Per Scholas is not all that busy. My class started then a few weeks later another class started, from what I hear by 2020 they are going to step up the number of classes because Columbus and the surrounding areas are needing IT professionals.I can say this has been a great opportunity, and I am seeing that it is going to be life changing as well. If everything goes my way I will finally be living a life where I am comfortable. If that sounds like something you would like then start looking into how to become a student at Per Scholas. The way you get accepted into Per Scholas is pretty much like it is when you are trying to get a job. They have you take some tests, and there are certain requirements to be accepted. They do a background check, and they have you come in for some interviews. I only had one, so I am not sure if they have more than one like some companies do.P.S. If you do plan on joining Per Scholas I would like to give you some advice.1. The day you start you need to take your class work and studying as serious as you can.2. Do not take this opportunity for granted. Think of it as your one and only chance to better your life and actually have a career that you love, and not one where you are breaking your back.3. Do not miss, or think that missing a day or hour is not serious because every second matters.4. Study! Study! Study! You want to be sure that when you go to take your exams you feel comfortable and not nervous.5. Make sure you commit. Do not work while in Per Scholas. You are there from 9am to 4pm, so you have to look at it as your job.6. Make sure you have your finances planned out for at least a month after graduating Per Scholas.Going down this path will be real hard because you have to give Per Scholas your full attention for 15 weeks straight. No one in my class is working. The ones who was working in the beginning quit because they could not keep going because your work does not end after leaving class. You have to study at home a lot.I would like to tell everyone at Per Scholas just how grateful I am for the opportunity they gave me, and I am going to do my best to not let them down and show them that they did not make a mistake letting me in here. My life has not gone right since I was 21, and I could not catch a break. I am 35 now, and finally things are looking up for me.
