She is so talented and artistic and her work (which you can view on her website) OBVIOUSLY. separates herself from other photographers. She is INCREDIBLE. We got a shot at our wedding of the groomsman smoking cigars in the dark with a back light and I cannot tell you how excited we are to see the result. She is open to different shot ideas and has so many unique ones of her own. We also hired her for videography as well. We are obsessed with her and HIGHLY recommend her services.

Phylicia is an amazing photographer and we are so happy with our elopement photos! My (now) husband and I made last-minute plans to get married at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse and contacted Phylicia about a month before to ask if she was available. She was very responsive, upfront about the cost (which was really reasonable compared to some others I spoke to), and super flexible. My husband and I had never had professional photos taken before and were really nervous, but Phylicia had us laughing immediately and put us right at ease. We got back our photos less than two weeks after our wedding day and we love them so much. They are romantic and artsy and show off our personalities really well. Such a great experience. It was almost as if she was a fly on the wall. I knew when I saw her gallery online that she was the photographer to shoot the surprise proposal of my now future wife Shayna. Phylicia is amazing, our maternity photo shoot turned out great. She helped me chose a location and even recommended the style of dress for the location I wanted. The weather wasn’t great before the shoot but she kept me updated and offered alternative ideas in case the weather didn’t clear up. Luckily the rain stopped and we had a great photo shoot! She has a fun personality and makes you feel super comfortable. Her editing it beautiful, she really is an artist!

I cannot rave about Phylicia and her work enough! My fiancé and I had our shoot done the end of June and I have been flipping through gallery every single day since. She is extremely easy to work with while making you feel so comfortable and having you laugh the entire time. I really don’t even know where to begin with how much I love Phy and her Photos. The shoot. My goodness, we had COVID-19 and a Saharan Dust Plume with us that evening in Marshall Park. It was hot, I was 30 weeks pregnant and still every single shot was absolutely perfect! We even got a remark from my fiancé that it, “wasn’t as bad as I thought it was gonna be”. And trust me, that’s a compliment. We both had a great time and it shows in the art. She’s quick with response and has so many helpful links to prepare for the perfect pictures. I really just LOVE Phy. I would rate her a 10 on that five star scale but the option isn’t there.

We LOVED working with Phylicia! She was very responsive and helped answer all our questions ahead of time. The morning of our family session, not only was one of our 16-month-old twins particularly fiesty, but it started to rain during our sunrise shoot. Phylicia kept everything light and fun, and continued to reassure us that our photos would be great. We drove home that morning disappointed and SURE there wouldnt be any good photos, but we were wrong. Despite the weather and toddler tantrums, Phylicia captured SO MANY great shots that were struggling to pick our favorites. We cant wait to work with her again!
