If I could give this center 0 stars, I would. They do not value their employees at all. It is very clear that they have favorite employees, and if you arent one of them, management treats you like dirt and talks down to you. They have zero communication skills. If a child misbehaves (bites, kicks, hits, punches, etc.) it is your fault. Management blames you for the fact that they are short-staffed, therefore if you need accommodations they will not give it to you because they dont want to go in the classroom. They do not give their employees the proper training that they need in order to have a child with a disability in the classroom. They do not allow us to communicate with parents at drop-off or pick-up, so if there is a problem, it cant be resolved. Most of the employees do a wonderful job caring for the children, but some of them get away with inappropriate actions, which means all of the employees are treated differently. If they have you, then they use you to do their job for them. In my opinion, this is not how you manage a child care center. 0/10 would NOT recommend.

My experience was bad with this center! Let’s start by the most recent one that raised the ted flag and let me decide to pull my kid out.My kid does NOT eat pork products because of a religious reasons and they fed him ham! Like WTH? We were very clear in the registration form and mentioned that to them.Second, just because he is on a backup care they couldn’t care less if we know what happened during his day. You get paid to do that it’s not for free. They give us one day report out of three days and some weeks nothing and when we ask they say “ We will let the teacher know!” I doubt if she even write the truth in that report since she barely care to write it.Third, Mind you the attitude look they give you!It’s like they’re forced to work there. No greeting whatsoever!! That was only for the first week show then it ended.Fourth, Preschool and my kid learned NOTHING so far! felt like I actually enrolled him in a daycare not a preschool program. So if you have a kid there who’s enrolled in the preschool program or thinking of this. Don’t even bother. They teach them normal things that we say and teach our kids in general at home. Above that my kid got a cold the second week of him being there and for the next two weeks. God knows is it because of the kids being outside for too long or there is another sick kid or cleaning issues!He only attended 3 days a week and for only 4 weeks. It would have been shorter than that if he was going there 5 days a week. Because we kept giving them chances, but I guess they’re not even worth that money. 4 weeks was enough to tell so much about this place!

My son who is autistic was supposed to go to this daycare and we were told he was going to be okay to start with no issues. When his first day came around he was told no (at the door) that he couldn’t start because he was autistic and they needed to get special permission for him to start from their director which should only take a couple days .. well a week, couple weeks , month , months passed and they came up with new & improved excuses as to why my son couldn’t start. There was a new teacher, not enough teachers, director wasn’t in , they are still waiting for a response , etc... I personally feel as though they discriminated my son for his disability. If my younger son didn’t go and loved it then I wouldn’t even want to give them 1 star.

Such an amazing staff at The Sunshine House! Every teacher acknowledges my child when we walk past them in the hallway. I do not worry about my child while I am at work. Love this place.

The Pre-K program here is great! My son has grown so much this year and I feel better about him starting Kindergarten next year. Ms. Ebony and Ms. Janice are great with the kids and always keep the parents informed on what’s going on.

My son just started here and he seems to love it. The facility is 5 stars for sure and all the teachers seem like real people who take your kid under their wing. This is the first daycare my son has been at that he doesnt come home starving hungry so clearly these folks know how to read a kid and dont let nonverbal kids go hungry. Thats a pretty big ask when you consider multiple kids and each having their own unique traits that these ladies take the time to try to get to know each kid. Updated my review to reflect how things are coming to an end.

I considered switching my daughter to another daycare closer to our home however as I toured other places none of them compared to the cleanliness and amazing staff that is at The Sunshine House. My daughter LOVES all the teachers and I also enjoy the app they have that keeps parents informed on what they’re eating and doing through-out the day. I will defiantly recommend this daycare to anyone in need.

Just love this place! My daughter is excited to go and singing and happy when she comes home. She has learned so much and is improving more and more each day. The staff is amazing and you can really tell they love the kids. Feel so blessed to have my daughter going here.

So comforting knowing that my son is surrounded by involved and caring teachers. I am able to see updates all day on what he is doing, eating, napping times, and often pictures and / or videos! I am very satisfied with the cleanliness and upkeep of the school and the communication between the school/teachers and myself. Would surely recommend this school!

We switched here when I started a new job in Concord and absolutely love it. Now my 7 month old goes there and Ms. Denise is our favorite.

Wowww where do I start. As a parent I look for things that will make my kids happy in return making me happy, and the Sunshine house delivered.The director and co director are so amazing by the way their names are Kimberly and Jessica just in case you want to go and get your kids enrolled. My kids from the oldest being 5 to the youngest being 3 months love it there. I know I know how can a 3 month love it there well let’s just say she’s all smiles at pick up and when I randomly show up so I know they’re doing something right. My oldest boys have been there since they were 18 months old so they’ve grown to love the sunshine house. So with that being said happy kids makes an even happier mom. O and by the way the diaper/wipe program is awesome saves money for Mommy which is also a win win. I could go on and on about how great the Sunshine house but you should just go see about it. I promise you and your kids will love it there. Thanks sunshine house for giving all my children the time, attention, love and education they need while Mommy is away at work.

My child enjoys going to the Sunshine House. The teachers are friendly and the facility is big and full of educational activities. The only negative weve experienced is when kids get physical with others, like fighting or playing too rough on the playground. Other than that, its a great place to go.

I am an employee at the Sunshine House, I have worked there for over 7 years and love it. A while back we added and all Inclusive Diaper/Wipe program that saves the parents money and time! We also are using Creative Curriculum that the children really enjoy and the teachers enjoy as well. If you are looking for child care in the area, come by and take a tour - learn about our curriculum, meet the teachers and get answers to any other questions you may have. We are open 6:30 am - 6:30 pm.

The directors do not value their employees. If youre not a part of their secret club they will treat you worthless and find false reasons to terminate your employment. The teacher turn is very high because of this. They have the cooperate offices snowed. It like a puppy mill. The 1st priority is enrollment which equals money. Screw the hard working teachers they can be replaced!The Sunshine House on weddington road is heartless. Kimberly works the corporate ,they buy what shes selling lies,deceit, prejudice. She keeps the puppies coming that all that matters. She gives special treatment and gifts for employees to write great reviews about the school. Every dog has their day keep that in mind directors at weddington road.

I can only tell you how my kids feel about this place because I feel they are the only ones that really know whats going on when we as parents leave them in the sunshine houses care. My daughter never wants to leave when it time for me to pick them up. If its a day when school is closed and I dont have anything planned to do with the kids, instead of staying home with mommy she rather go there to see her friends and amazing teacher. My son who is four is very bright but I must say he is coming home counting in Spanish and trying to repeat what his teachers has taught him for the day. He loves going to this daycare and I must say there is no fear in my heart one bit when leaving my babies here. Id recommend this daycare/preschool to anyone.

My daughter has attended since she was just over 6 months. Her teachers have always truly loved and cared about her. The management is extremely understanding especially dealing with my crazy teaching schedule. If you are looking for a place where you feel like family, the Sunshine House is it.

We love the Sunshine House! The directors, teachers, and assistants are awesome! It’s great knowing my child is excited to see his teachers every morning! We definitely recommend the Sunshine House to everyone we know!

Sunshine house is by far the best! My son loves it there and his teachers and kind and amazing! Everyday it’s a new adventure and I’m glad my son gets to take this journey with Sunshine House Learning Academy!!!

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE place to have your kid. The directors just let other kids bully your kid and don’t do anything about it. Everyday it was something and absolutely NOTHING was done about it

My son has been going here for about a year and he loves it! He has learned so much by his teachers and everyone is always so nice! I love this school and will continue to keep my son here as long as I can!

Friendly staff- I felt that they were given too much responsibility and children were sick a lot- but both of these issues happen at every daycare center. They provide diapers and wipes as well as all meals and formula so that was amazing. Also- they magically get all kids on the same schedule.

Im So Honored to be a Employee at the Sunshine house .I have the best Co-teachers ever they are Creative ,Caring, Funny and love what they do. The kids are amazing and keep me on my toes 😂. But I love every moment of it.

My kids love going to the sunshine house my oldest one who is now 6 has been going since she was 2 and my youngest one ever since she was 6 months old. They both have learn and enjoy their time at daycare. The teachers are great their is some that need to smile and enjoy their job a little bit more . But the ones my kids have main contact with are awesome. If theirs any problems they call me immediately, which I appreciate a lot. Mrs.shantell and Mrs.Megan are the best with my little one and my oldest one loves all her teachers since she pretty much grew up with them . Jessica and Kimberly are awesome at directing the center everytime I need something they get it done and they get back to me with all my questions and concerns.I doubt I will take my kids out of this daycare unless they outgrow it. 😊

Its not what people think it is definitely not Worth a five star child care facility especially when you see a lot of the childrens teachers yell at children, and at most times have bad attitudes.
