I consistently have a positive experience when visting this location. Its well run, very clean, and friendly. All the student stylists are very professional, highly skilled and knowledgeable. They strive for excellence and efficiency, understanding the importance of maximizing their clients time. I know that I am in good hands whenever I come here. I leave happy always receiving many compliments and inquiries on who did my hair. I highly recommend.

Today being serviced by Jessica Littlejohn was a pleasant experience. She greeted me with how is your day going? She shampooed my hair asking, are you comfortable, she was so professional. When I left there I was very pleased with her and I scheduled another visit. Thanks for making me queen for the day.

I enjoy my experience here at empire Ms.Bell and Mrs. Green cares so much about there students and make sure that they have the knowledge they need to succeed outside of school. I have been here and left a couple times but I am back to finish what I started to become the best hairstylist for myself and my kids!

Tracey is an excellent stylist! She was very informative on the condition of my hair and gave me great tips on how to get my hair back to a healthy state.

I have the best teacher in the world , she is energetic and she makes learning fun ! Being here isnt like most schools. The dress code is strict but all for the sake of professionalism!

Empire , sweet empire. Its been so rocky, good days and bad days , from cos to the EIT program. I truly want to say i have stood my ground i have pushed through & I made it to the finish line. Im sure i got on all of my educators nerves lord knows they got on mine. But what i realized through mis communication, teachers quitting, not having class , through attitudes the ones thats cared was there. Majority of the educators had open arms willing to teach me anything.My advice to you , touring the school it may seem one way , but in all actuality its not. Stand your ground be vocal and remember why you started♥️Its been real Empire.

I have been going here a little over a month and they are great I love the instructors including Ms. Smith and Mrs. Kennedy they are funny and make sure I know everything I need to know. They dont think any questions are stupid they want you to ask questions if you dont know it. I ask questions alot and they never look down on me for it. It took me actually going here to realize that this is my passion. I love this school.

I’ve been an Empire student since January 25th, and I haven’t been disappointed yet. I love how the teachers teach you in ways that you understand and can really get the information. School is always what you make it, but Empire definitely makes you feel like a part of the family and welcomed. I would’ve given it 5 stars... but zoom gets frustrating sometimes.

I have been coming to get my hair done and this school for four years ! I receive a relaxer and roller set when I come in for service. I love the students and how they manage my hair , the process is great I always leave feeling refreshed. Love the instructors the students adhere to the rules and it is a pleasant atmosphere.

My experience here has been very exhilarating so far, the staff and teachers are proficient and refined. I am pleased to attend Empire and all it’s endeavors. Empire has laid down the foundation it is up to you to succeed.

Im a current student here at Empire Beauty. The educators are very knowledgable, friendly, helpful, and professional. They all quickly adapted to the major changes that are going on due to coronavirus. They truly want to teach us and guide us to success, they elaborate on every subject in detail and will keep at it until each student understands it fully. They take their time with all of the students and go out of their way for us daily.The director, Ms. Ford, is extremely knowledgeable and does everything she possibly can to make sure those who want to attend Empire get in and stay in yes she is strick when it comes to students who arent coming to school and thats only because she wants you to succeed also to keep you from being dropped by financial aid. She cares. She is the go to for everything!Mrs. Gaither is a Presalon educator, she is amazing. She understands that newer students dont always understand some of the basics that cosmetologists know and do daily, so she breaks everything all the way down and builds up on it so we understand everything and gladly helps you one on one until you master it! She knows the textbook through and through!Now Im Mrs. Bells class! I love it, its so fun to come in and set up and take clients! Its preparing me for my future. Shes very kind, silly, easy to get along, with and very professional. She teaches us the advanced parts of the text book and elaborates on it. Her position entails an abundance of tasks plus she has to make sure all of the clients get booked, and are treated professionally while they receive their service, ensure that we are giving the clients exactly what they want, teach us to do everything correctly and professionally Ms. Bell comes to the student with each client before the service is performed to make sure we are going to do what they want properly, if we need help she hands on shows us exactly how to do everything correctly and ergonomically. She stays busy here with her students and clients but she is always avaliable to help you. I love that she kind of lets us do what we want when it comes to getting our >300 mark offs needed to graduate on our manaquines. She allows us to figure out how things on our own like we would when we graduate, schedule clients, and teaches us how its going to be in the salon world. All the well shes DEDICATED!!

I am a student at Empire Beauty in Concord. I have to say I’ve had a wonderful Experience! Covid has definitely made things different, but yoy won’t find a more caring and talented group of educators. Ms.Gaither was my presalon teacher she is is funny, talented and will keep class interesting and make sure you get what you need! Ms. Bell does amazing work with the advanced students. She keeps us going and motivated all while taking care of the front desk and clients as well. Ms. Ford the executive director is always there and always open to help whether it be financial question or even questions on the salon floor! I’ll be graduating soon and will miss everyone and the experience!

Ms cooper is again very unprofessional and likes to kick people off of zoom class I am in Fayetteville trying to learn and sitting on my couch on the camera and she proceeds to kick me out of zoom class without any further notice I will be talking to the head tomorrow about this

I had wonderful experience with stylist Allure! I received a shampoo, blow out, flat iron, and Cut. I was pleasantly surprised! Ms. Carr; Allures learning Instructor guided her patiently to the new ME! A blunt cut. I have gotten so many compliments, going from curly to straight! Thank You Empire for Amazing new look!

A lot of hard working students who do really good, professional work. Keep in mind they are students. Occasionally they ask their teacher for help, that is to make sure your service is done properly. They use salon grade products, not cheap products. You are getting a professional service for a very low price.If you come and by a very small chance have a bad service, say something! They are students and they are learning. If you say what you didnt like, in a polite way, they can learn from the mistake.Make an appointment, you wont regret it. :)

Overall, I loved my hair and appreciated how patient and attentive Caleb was to my hair. He was more excited than me that my hair looked so good haha! :) I think everyone should keep in mind that they are students and make fun in their own way with each other. I was a bit uncomfortable starting off because they were loud & joking with each other but once I adjusted and realized that’s the way their environment is set up, I warmed up and it was cool. For the prices, there’s not much you can complain about. I’ll be going back!

I went to get a wash and flat iron with my daughter and now our natural hair is completely burned. I have to shave all of my hair and start over and my daughter has to cut 7 inches off due to my hairdresser Monae mistake. Ive been going there for about 2 years and Ive never experienced something like this. These instructors need to do better in teaching their students. I would recommend to be very careful when going there. The prices are decent but you could risk your hair in the process.

This made my second time visiting the school, the first time was ok not perfect but ok. This last time I went I had an unusual incident that prevented the student from continuing service, my recommendation in a situation like mine was to take the client in another room away from everyone so the client doesnt feel very humiliated because of the situation by having the other students and clients looking at you. Im not sure I will ever return I was so disturbed how the situation was handled, and to find out it wasnt what the instructor Mrs. Bell said it was, just a severe case of dandruff. As an instructor compassion is everything in customer service.

I had a great experience at Empire Beauty School- Concord. I advocate the quote, you get what you pay for! So I had my concerns about having my locs attended by a student at a hair school.Shanequa was my stylist, she is an amazing loctician, and the main reason my experience was great. The rest of the staff and students were also warm and very welcoming, but Shanequa made the time pass by great conversationalist and working efficiently. By the time Shanequa finished styling my locs, she built enough rapport that I allow her to her to taper my side and touch up my beard.Though I was at first nervous about the outcome of the experience, I was thrill with the outcome...I hope that this review shows my appreciation to the staff and students at Empire Beauty School -Concord, and I wish you all success in your endeavours.

When I went in, everyone was super friendly. The girl who did my hair (I think her name was Keila) did a fantastic job! I showed her a picture of how I wanted the coloring to look and she made it look even better. Everyone loved how my hair turned out, so the people who hire her after this program will be very lucky.

They claim they don’t do esthetician but it’s on their website the closest is Tennessee which is not right either whoever i talked on phone with my friend is taking esthetician in charlotte NC i just can’t go to charlotte or wait 2 years for the waiting list

Mrs cooper was VERY rude and disrespectful to my stylist almost as like if she was trying to embarrass her smh very unprofessional of her.

Everytime I have called the people who answer the phones are very rude and snappy. I called last week and asked if I had to make an app. to get a pedicure and she said no and then asked if there was only certain times of the day they done them and she said no they do them all day. So I went there today and when I walked in the door the lady said they had stopped taking people at 2 and will start again at 5. Told her I was told that they done them all day and she just sat there looking at me like she was stupid and never said im sorry or anything. I would not recommend going there or even calling. They are very unprofessional and a waste of time!

Coming to empire was the worst experience I have ever had. The staff was friendly but clearly it is an adult day care. The instructor made a student put a large amount of clear flaky cheap gel in my hair. I was not happy so I asked the student to shampoo my hair. The instructor wobbled over to me and said that there were be an extra charge. I simply asked where was an extra charge fee for an unhappy customer posted. She stated that is was NOT posted. I cleary stated that I do not believer that I should have to pay because there is no disclouse. The instructor spoke to me in a very disrespectful manner and started waving her hands around making a scence; (as if her yard sell dress& her orthoptic shoes were not loud enough) I asked to to stop and I did tell her that I didnt like her waving my hands in my PERSONAL SPACE and she continued to do so. She limped away and then threatened me that I didnt have to get my hair done there and she also said that she went above and beyond for me by allowing a student to put extensions in my hair. I removed my cape and exited the building. I came right back to ask for her supervisors name and email and she threatened to call the police on me. I would just like to know how can you lead other to excellence and success and your UNPROFESSIONAL, TACKY, UNPLEASANT yourself. If your a future student please DO NOT choose this school. You will not learn the skills you need, you will only learn how to be a BITTER HEFFA.
