This is an awesome institution for the trades if someone is serious about their career. The teachers are proficient in their fields and do care. I was fortunate to do both of the trades in Electrical and HVAC/R consecutively and came across some of the great people during my tenure at the school. Kelsey and Chris from student services would assist to place you in respective carriers very aggressively. They’d care and make sure you are employed by the time you’re graduated. From Mr. Liptak, Mr. Massaro, Mr. B and ended with Mr. Salcedo, Pedro- hats off to your dedication and patience in preparing me for a lifelong skills that I’ll be indebted to. Appreciate you guys so much!

When coming to the school, I didnt think much about it, I was just looking for a change, not only I found a change, I found a career job with ETC. Kelsey, who I didnt know much about. She helped me with everything I needed, which was either setting up my resume , applying for jobs, or even someone to speak with. Without Kelsey I couldnt be in the spot Im in today. Tomorrow I graduate with my NORA and my EPA 608.. I am so thankful for coming to ETC and meeting Kelsey!! She is one sweet girl who I am very thankful for and can also call a good friend!!Pete

I’m graduating in 2 days and it’s bittersweet. The 6 month program flew by and the staff and fellow students all catered to an amazing experience. Chris and Kelsey are relentless about job search and you will almost certainly have a job lined up before graduating. The teachers are very knowledgeable from decades in the trade and offer extra help if you need it. All said and done, I could not be happier I went to ETC. It was both a very fun and very educational experience and although I will miss being a student, I am excited and feel fully confident starting my job soon.

I graduated today (HVAC Program) from this illustrious school and my experience has been nothing short of life changing. The skills and knowledge the school preps you with fills you with confidence to jump into your new trade with ease. The instructors, Mr. Liptak (all-trades), Mr. Massaro (HVAC 1), and Mr. B (HVAC 2+3) did more than teach their scheduled syllabus, but shares tricks of the trade and refined techniques to ensure success in your future job. Which brings me to Chris and Kelsey for job placement who does everything in their power to set you on the right track for employment. Kelsey particularly handles any mess of a resume you have and guides you along each step of progression towards employment, all whilst genuinely being a friend who cares about your success. In closing, if youre looking for a trade to build your future, a career over a job. And need a place to start, this school is well worth its tuition. And if youre not sure, atleast visit, take the tour and feel it out.

I graduated from the Electrical Training Center in Copiague. I definitely recommend this trade school to anyone who is interested in learning new skills. This school has excellent instructors. Every single one of them cares about their jobs and their students. The instructors always try to explain the lessons in a simple way so you can understand the consent. One other thing, Christopher will help you to find a job after you finish the program. In fact he will help you to get interviews with potential employers. The entire staff are very helpful. This school is conformed by professionals.

The Electrical Training Center teachers will teach you many beneficial skills including good work ethics and how to be successful in the trades. I attended ETC for the HVAC program. My 3 teachers were all extremely encouraging and helpful. Andrea, from the registrar department, was very professional, helpful, and polite. Also, Kelsey, a very nice lady from the student service department, assisted me in finding a job and prepared me for what to expect during an interview. Due to her help I found a great job and am on my way to a successful career. These women both deserve recognition for doing their jobs with smiles on their faces and going above and beyond expectations. Im immensely satisfied with my schooling at the ETC and would certainly suggest this school for anyone who is willing to put in effort to learn and work hard.

I graduated from the HVAC program at this school in March 21. I really cant say enough about the school, teachers and staff. Whenever I needed extra help or didnt understand something they were always there to guide me through it. I was offered a job from a well-known HVAC company just as I was about to graduate and have been working for them ever since. I am so unbelievably grateful that I found this school, it has changed my life and entire future.

So I am a former student of the HVAC/R night program. I felt the need to put the night program because it is a different animal compared to the days. I came into this school with absolutely no knowledge of the specific field I was studying but a general knowledge of basic construction. Across the board every single faculty member and teacher has been nothing but a blessing in disguise. I had the pleasure of being taught by Mr . Murray, Mr. Martell, and Mr. B who between the 3 of them have over a century of experience to share with all of their students. I felt like I could accomplish anything because of what they taught me and because of Kelsey in the placement department I was paired with a phenomenal refrigeration company operating primarily in commercial buildings in Manhattan and could not have stepped out into the real world more prepared. I thank everyone for the lessons, and the fun times I spent at this school and consider it at my young age of 25 the best decision I think I will ever make in my life.

Don’t bother coming to this school if you really want to learn. They say they give out “ hands on training “ but it’s literally 30 minutes to a hour max. Teachers are great and they try to teach you what you need to know in the field but the program it’s self is horrible. Do yourself a favor and save your money. Look into other schools with a better program

When I signed up for class in the Electircal Training Center for HVAC/R, I was unsure what I’d be getting my self into, now after graduating from this facility I can say that I’ve been able to thoroughly learn and obtain all the knowledge needed to hit the ground running into my future as a HVAC/R mechanic/technician. Every single person, from the professors to the administration and staff were all great people in engaging with me and other students on a personal level and helping every way possible with anything I needed, like specific topics I was unsure of and even job placement. Professors here elaborated on all topics needed to pass my certification tests that now allow me to go off into the working field with confidence. While here it was during this wild pandemic of covid-19 and I can say that this place took every action and measure needed to make sure all students and personnel were safe and healthy to be in class and in office. I appreciate everything I’ve experienced here. Definitely worth every minute of my life, a chapter to move forward.

I’ve just graduated ETC!Through out my entire experience at ETC , the program it self was very educational and helpful when it comes to learning Electrical or HVAC ; starting off with teaching how to handle and use power & hand tools all the way to wiring Motor controls in an industrial setting, all by using safety precautions. Witch we learned in the OSHA course witch they provided. The school and it’s instructors do well above satisfactory when it comes to getting the students to understand the Curriculum. I guarantee if you leave this school not learning something new it’s because you did not want to learn. In my case electrical is constantly changing meaning you never stop learning, there is always something new to be learned and taught. The school has a wonderful job placement program as well, witch is super helpful for those who lack the social or communication skills to seek or find one themselves. The school will do to its best ability to get you a job . Kelsi is literally The GOAT (Greatest of all Time) when it comes to communicating with the student and helping with finding a job she does her job better than perfect! She is really good at what she does my best advice for future students reading this post is to work with her your entire time at ETC. You’ll be doing yourself a huge favor . You’ll be setting yourself up for a bright future if you do. she could possibly find you a job before you even finish the program and that gives you the upper advantage in your class while they just get class room experience you’ll get real hands on in the field experience . In my case that’s what she did for me and I could not thank her enough for the opportunity and position she has put me in.In conclusion ETC lives up to their reputation and do what they promise. This school and it’s staff is unmatched.

I am a prior student of the etc electrical program and went to school in 2017 , this is a fantastic school with a very informative program. The staff goes above and beyond in the support of their students, I would go as far as to say they treat their students like family a perfect example of this would be Chris and Kelsey who are in the job placement department, I came in after not seeing Chris for a year and a half and he recognized me and recalled my name and welcomed me into his office with a smile on his face. And Kelsey then immediately helped me to make changes to better my resume and immediately began sending it out to potential employers, they also got me on the phone with numerous employers while I was in office before I left the office. They were both phenomenal helps and I greatly enjoyed their company and help. They went above and beyond to help me

The point of people asking questions is to gain knowledge. This is not my field of expertise. I studied Accounting with a concentration in Banking and Finance. My son was interested in becoming an electrician. I started seeking information on nearby schools and pricing and such. Whomever is in charge of the front office should really think about the first form of contact with a potential student. First impressions go a long way. You cannot be impolite. Folks are not begging to give you money. How much more can you make by being courteous and forthcoming with a willingness to share information? Much more for sure. People will love to enroll if they are shown a little courtesy. In what aspect of business does rudeness turn into profit? I don’t know of any. The woman answering the phone at this facility should be given another responsibility. I’m unsure if it was Alexa but you are helping the school lose money, even if it is only one student. Your rudeness and inability to speak politely should be unacceptable. Money lost is not money earned.

This school is amazing, I have to start off with that. I started off with absolutely no electrical experience at all. Even all those stupid lines on the measuring tapes use to confuse me ☺️but the training from the instructors at the school ( shout to to Pedro and Mcginn )Simplified everything that I deemed difficult and allowed me to become a knowledgeable student. This school teaches you about your trade of interest and the professionalism that you should exhibit on the job. Not just the instructors are great in the school though. Your gonna meet a lady by the name of Nay who is extremely helpful and that will assist you in anything you ask and need which makes your experience at the school that much better. And she’s real cool to talk to😆This next lady I’m going to speak about deserves her own paragraph. Her name is Maritza Lugo. Maritza goes above and beyond for the students in the school. You show that your serious about this school and about your career, she’s going to show you that same energy back. Maritza helped me every step of the way while I was a student. Not only did she relentlessly search for job placement for me but everytime I sat down in her office, all she had were positive and encouraging words that Maritza doesn’t even know played a major part in keeping me focused. The entire faculty is excellent in the school, but Maritza definitely plays a special role. If your wondering who she is, she’s the pretty one with the black hair 🤗

Best Electrical trade school on Long Island hands down. There was actually multiple people from Queens in my class here. Staff is very knowledgeable and actually cares about the students. Everyone in my class got jobs. Chris and Maritza are very knowledgeable in the job department and will send you out to many contractors that they work with as well as any you have researched on your own time. My teachers were Rob Liptak, John McGinn and Pedro Salcedo. All three teachers care about their jobs and the electrical field as well as making a fun learning experience for the students. There is a very friendly atmosphere in the school and everyone knows each other and talks. I am beyond pleased with my overall experience at the school. I started in the Electrical Program at the Electrical Training Center in July of this year and my first communications with the Electrical Training Center were in April of 2018 when I started speaking with the Admissions staff at the school. I have a four-year degree from a NYS accredited college and at the age of 27 I was looking to make a career change into the Electrical field. The Electrical Training Center was introduced to me and HIGHLY recommended to me by the New York State Education Department as a school that I ABSOLUTELY wanted and needed to check out as a place for furthering my education and beginning a new career path. From the time that I first engaged with the Electrical Training Center and it’s staff back in April, and even now as I prepare this month to complete their 6-month Electrical Program, every single staff member that I have met has delivered absolutely excellent and professional service. Everyone that I have had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with at the school - the administrative staff, the faculty and the students alike, have been helpful, motivated, friendly, and extremely supportive.I am beyond pleased with the level of care, education, and support that I have received here at this institution and I would recommend this school to anyone and everyone who is looking to further their education in either the Electrical or HVAC industries. I would and will recommend this school to friends and family members. I am more than happy to speak to anyone who wants to contact me to hear about my experience at and with the Electrical Training Center. Thank you Sal Ferrara for creating a place like the ETC where I could build the platform for a successful future in the Electrical trade.
