I used to go here, but this was a very fun and place and always have enjoyed it when COVID ends I will go back.

We can learn how to treat each other from this location. Jennifer is a great asset to them. Exceptional customer service and patience with kids. My son was very scared to even enter the location at the beginning. Today is his third visit and he started doing punches and kicks and saying ‘Yes Mam’. Looking forward to great learning for my kid. Mr. & Mrs. Nevels have made serving their students and the community their life’s work. They understand the importance of student development for both kids and adults. I’ve watched several young students mature into successful instructors over the years, which is a testimony to the mission of the school. And I’ve made some of my best friends here because of the open, safe and inviting environment they have created.

My son is attending Taekwondo virtually. Prior to Covid, he attended a studio closer to home, but they only offer in person classes. He hadnt practiced in months and missed Taekwondo, and I was worried about him losing all of the skills/forms that he had already learned. Thanks to Coppell Taekwondo Academy and Zoom, he is practicing again! It was really hard to find a studio that offers virtual classes, and I feel like we struck gold when we found this place. My son tells me that it is fun, interactive, and organized! He gets a great workout, and the instructors are really nice/attentive. He told me he wishes that we lived closer so that he could attend in person once we are able to go back to our normal lives. This has been such a bright spot in a challenging year. We are so very grateful to the Coppell Taekwondo Academy!

CMA Martial Arts has been a real game changer for my 10 year old daughter. I signed her up for virtual lessons during the summer of 2020, right in the middle of the Covid pandemic. We had tried other sports, but with the pandemic, those ended up getting canceled. Not only did CMA offer a trial lesson and one on one time with the instructor, but the owner actually dropped off my daughter’s uniform and belt at our house!We did virtual lessons until the studio was able to be opened again, and the instructors always made it fun, informative, and active! My daughter loves to practice her form, and show how fast and hard she can punch and kick!Once we were able to go into the studio, my daughter’s self-confidence really started to come through, she started to find her voice and realize her talent! The instructors at CMA have shown true dedication and have helped play an integral part in my daughter’s confidence and belief in herself! She wants to be a Black Belt and I’m confident that with CMA, she will succeed!!

Coppell Taekwondo Academy is amazing. Our son began classes three years ago at age four. The instructors are phenomenal and really care about each child and each family. In addition to gaining skills, our son has gained confidence and maturity. We feel very fortunate to be part of their school family.

I cannot say enough great things about this karate center. They are great with our kids, they are great with helping to teach our kids discipline, and the owners and instructors are really good solid people for my kids to be around. They also offer date nights where you can leave your kids at the karate center, and the kids are very well taken care of and entertained while they are there. They also moved their operations this past year to a stand-alone building on Denton Tap which has been great! No more having to go through the madhouse of the parking lots on Denton tap/sandy lake area. Very happy!!!

This school is wonderful! I started taking Taekwondo here 7 years ago and I simple cannot say enough good things about the school, and the staff. Super kind and knowledgeable. Mr. Nevels and his staff are so committed to the students and the community. I especially appreciate the focus on practical self defense techniques along side the art of Taekwondo. It really is a great school!

I went to this place 5 years ago or so. A student in the class was super rude. When they found out that I moved to the same school as them, they started sending me nasty/threatening messages through online chat. They so happened to be the favorite student of the head instructor. He was nice to me, but I could tell that he hated me. The other instructors there were kinda biased and always tried to solicit something. For simple belt tests, one would have to pay for the test, buy some stupid badges on the uniform. The badges were rock hard so we basically had to pay more money for them to stitch it on. If you decide to go here, expect to pay a lot for registration and uniforms. Then expect to pay just as much for belts and testing. Also, please implement a no bullying policy. Thanks!

We value the staffs dedication and passion for what they do. They have loved on us throughout the years and supported us through our different seasons. We love them all and appreciate what they have done and continue to do for our family!!!

Its been a little over a year since my 4 year old has been taking classes. She loves it and I love her being involved with Coppell Taekwondo Academy. I especially love Miss Amanda. She brings a high level of enthusiasm to each and every class. You can truly tell that she loves teaching her craft to young kids. My wife and I have even talked about us joining! 😀😀😀

My family has been training with them for over 5 years. The growth and self confidence improvement in both my sons has been unbelievably positive. The instructors are always positive and encouraging. We have been associated with Coppell Taekwondo America for about 16 months, and the whole experience has exceeded our expectations. The owners, who are also instructors, are younger and passionate about what they do. Everyone at the school has a high level of respect for them. The teenage and adolescent instructors are very mature both in conversation and while theyre instructing our younger kids. Our kids have become much more disciplined while having a great time. Theyve made many friends here, and there are great opportunities to socialize outside of class. Water park days, group cookouts, and lock-in/movie nights are just a few extra activities offered.

My kids love taking lessons here! The staff is helpful, caring, and make an effort to connect with every student. We have been with this studio for over 2 years and plan on sticking with it for many more!

Caring, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable staff - we absolutely love Coppell Taekwondo Academy! Studying Taekwondo has been so helpful for my son’s focus and coordination, plus it’s great exercise and they have a wonderful character-building aspect to the program, which I really appreciate as well. I have been taking taekwondo since I was six, and I have moved a lot. However I can say I have never been to a school like this. It’s amazing and my self confidence has shot up so much, and now my brother is here too. The instructors are very patient and kind. I highly recommend this school for anyone who wants to learn taekwondo, or have more self confidence, discipline, and etc; this place has become my second home! Can’t wait for my next class!!

I would think this a place to go if you want to get your kids to learn Taekwondo. I would say that I did not choose CTA because they train TKD but because of what they believe in - our kids.Coaches make an exemplary effort investing time and effort in teaching kids not just Taekwondo but compassion , perseverance, Leadeship skills wholistically developing our next generation to go into the world.The best part of CTA I find is that they do not stop innovating, finding new ways to teach kids. A very committed group and that is what is keeping us with them for 2+ years .

This is a great local karate school. I have know the owners for many years and wish them all the best. Mr. Nevels is devoted to changing lives of his students through the positiveness of martial arts training. He runs the school with his wife and their 1 year old daughter. They are fun and positive people. I know them through another local karate school as they all workout and train together. They are great role models for our children. If you are interested in starting some martial arts training, this is the place to be!

The trainers and owners here make you feel part of a team. They help build confidence and leadership qualities with all of the youth. The five 100% and are always on their game. I love this place.

The academy offers a variety of curriculum based activities and classes for all different age groups. Great group of instructors who are very committed to teaching and seeing their students make progress.The Nevels, Mr. Davis, Mr. Lantz, Mrs. Trimble, and the Shultz sisters do a great job of keeping the kids fully engaged throughout every session with their high-energy teaching methods while maintaining a safe learning environment.Each instructor in this academy has positively impacted my son in at least one way or form. I would give this review more than 5 stars if I could.

I have been a student here for 7+ years. The Nevels and all of the instructors are amazing. They are friendly to everyone who comes in and works with all families to make the very best martial arts school in Coppell!

My son is a very timid child and has never attended daycare or school, so I was very worried about his attention to the class as well as him learning how to wait in line, stand up for himself, and not care about who is watching him.The class has really brought him out of his shell. I already see him waiting in line for his turn - yet standing up for when its his turn and not getting pushed to the back of the line. Hell get up in front of everyone and show his moves - even to random moms in the grocery store. Its been a great experience and Kevin and his wife are both amazing owners/teachers. They seem to care about each individual childs experience being good and have even personally called to reach out to make sure my child is getting all we want/need out of the class.I would DEFINTELY recommend them to anyone with any age children for this class - its really brought my sons attention back to the things that matter.

The 3-4 and 5-6 year old programs are based specially for those age groups and develop young children physically and socially. I am proud to refer my friends to the Nevels.

I have been with them for over 5 years. Great TKD school with great instructors. The instructors are great with with kids of all ages and even those who are just kids at heart. They not only teach taekwondo skills, but they are very involved with the schools and the community.

Highly recommended! Not only are the instructors excellent at creating age-appropriate programs, but they have a leadership team made up of teens and tweens in the higher-ranking belts who help out with the younger, less advanced students. And the ratio seems to be about 50/50 male/female, so our young daughter is always around lots of excellent role models.

My kids love this place! We were searching for a great taekwondo school for our kids at Coppell area, and this is a great one!

Good TKD school and well involved in the community, but things seems to have gone south since they lost the Taekwondo America affiliation in early 2017. Testing standards are lower that other schools, too crowded, parking issues and very expensive. The pushy salesman tactics to sign up 1 year duration also didnt sit well with us, we moved to Valley Ranch TKD, which addressed all our issues.

Such a great family business and an awesome learning environment for kids and adults of all ages.

We love Coppell Taekwondo Academy and Nevels family! My kids have been learning and mastering Taekwondo skills for 5 years now with Mr. and Mrs. Nevels. They love Taekwondo and to top it up, they love the instructors and their school. Mr. and Mrs. Nevels are awesome martial arts instructors and great people always with a smile. Respect I feel is missing in our daily interactions these days and when I see that intact @ CTA I feel blessed to have chosen CTA for my family. Best place for martial arts training in Coppell for sure!
