They have great teachers and administrators in my various experience with them. The failure of communication and making timely decisions about school closings/schedules is horrible. The CCISD calendar is never up to date, they wait till the morning of to make closure decisions, and there is no means of communication for parents/tax payers to voice concerns other than to attend the school board meetings.

They make decisions that have great effects for their own self and not the students

Now it makes ALOT of sense to close the county court house in Cove BUT open up our school here ON TIME.. With a chance of ice on the roads they closed the court house but going to let our kids get on a bus and take the chance of the driver NOT KNOWING hit a patch of ice and loosing control of that bus full of kids and them getting hurt or worse...and you cant blame the driver... ONLY they the school district.. I pray it doesnt happen... Man this county is RIGHT ON TIME...sorry but it makes me mad because my granddaughter lives there

I called the CC.I.S.D and asked why they were being incompetent.They told me that they were looking in the best interests of the kids that they needed to be in school.So they are being reactive instead of pro active..they said they checked the roads..i disagree i do not believe they drove every rout all the school busses take...School does no good for kids if they dont live to make it there..so i guess if a buss hits a patch of ice on the road and cant stop in time and gets hit by an 18 wheeler and kills half the kids on the buss i guess thats what they are going to tell us that it was in the kids best interest...so its going to take childrens lives to make this incompetent school district to take a little precaution for the kids safety ..cause there is ice everywhere here in cove my car,yard is covered in ice
