I came to EDJ through a friend of mine and so far, everyone has been helpful and welcoming from the day I started. The academy is always clean and the staff is friendly and great at teaching the techniques and movements as well as making corrections. I love the balance between learning the techniques and then putting them to practice in each class! I live about 30 minutes away from EDJ and I train a few times a week, and the school is definitely worth the drive!! If you’re in the area, come by and check it out!!

Great gym, great technique, great teachers. I was visiting my family from out of town and visited edj on Saturday for class. I was instantly greeted and felt very welcome. The technique was great that was taught and the owners and students are very professional, nice, and genuine people. I would definitely recommend and will definitely come back! Thank you very much.

I have been part of the EDJ Family for over 6years now and it is very upsetting seeing negative reviews about the academy. For me this is like my second home. My kids are 15 and 16yrs old now and they love this place as much as I do and I have no plans to move anywhere else. If you really want to hear about the academy, please stop by and if I am there (at least twice a week), I will be happy to share my experience with you.

I attended this academy about 4 or 5 years ago and had nothing but a pleasant experience. I had the opportunity to be coached under Abraham and Felipe when I was there before joining one of the sister academies closer to home. One of the things that most sticks out to me from this academy is the how welcoming it is for first timers, out of shape people, women, and especially kids. If you are looking to place your kids in a safe and fun environment this is it.

Professor JP and his team are high quality and professional. Its rare to find a school that has both a technical circulum and has a well run front office. EDJ is a clean, safe and fun environment the whole family can enjoy. Ive trained with Professor JP for over 15 years and trust him with furthing my knowledge as well as teaching my 3 children.

Professor JP and his staff are amazing both on and off the mats.The kids program is phenomenal. They truly care about the development of each student, and work to instill respect for the community while teaching valuable life lessons. Coach Kim is second to none in how she handles the program.The adults classes are extremely fun and challenging. The academy has a wide range of skill levels from brand new white belts to multiple black belts.The facility is always extremely clean and well maintained.I would recommend this academy to anyone!

My daughter has been training with professor JP and coach Kim for 5 years in September. She has raised to the rank of yellow belt and is part of the schools competition team. They are great with kids small and older ones, the patience they have for each student is remarkable. The lessons in martial arts, life and often provide anti-bully classes is great. This place is our second home and we all consider ourselves as family. My daughter and our family loves EDJ. We highly recommend it we even have my little nieces training too.

There is no other gym in the LA area that I would rather train at. Not only do they have high caliber instruction, they also have a variety of belt levels so you can learn regardless of where you are at. Head Coach JP is one of the most knowledgeable and caring instructors out there. He is also very well connected and respected in the BJJ community globally.Its a no brainer.Train where you learn more than just BJJ too. Respect. Discipline. Trust. Integrity. Other gyms seem to lack that these days.

I found EDJ while looking for a woman’s jiu jitsu program. I found EDJ on Yelp and reached out! I was answered immediately by Professor Kim. I know the standards for martial arts academies is they do not let you just come and watch so we scheduled a day for me to come participate in the class. I did the women’s class and it was so fun! I then decided to try the coed classes. I was worried the environment would be intimidating and full of guys who just want to make you tap. But it wasn’t like that. The Professors pair with you higher belts who actually want you to learn. They teach you mat etiquette and how to be a great training partner. If you’re looking to train just to stay healthy and active or if you’re looking to become a jiu jitsu competitor, or just train jiu jitsu, I guarantee this place will take you there. Guys and women train safe together here and everyone strives to make each other better. I highly recommend setting up an appointment on Yelp or on the website and seeing for yourself what EDJ is all about. You’ll want to be part of the team! I fell in love and I think if you have a heart for martial arts you will too.

I cant get enough of this place. Its very family friendly and the instruction is top notch. I can honestly say they changed my life. We love our Professors, its run so well! All the classes are top notch.

My family 100% recommends EDJ Corona! My son has trained with them for about 3 years now! They just moved to a larger location that is awesome! It has given him so much more then martial arts training! From life lessons, to self defense, to anti-bullying, respect, discipline, confidence, being helpful to others, even something as simple as shaking hands and making eye contact. I was so nervous in the beginning because my son was very rambunctious but he has become more and more focused as time has passed and we are very thankful he has and second family he loves!

Started training at EDJ approximately 6 months ago. Professor JP and all the coaches are extremely friendly, and create such a great learning environment for every person. Additionally, there is a sense of family amongst all students. Training is super fun and competitive. Even for people that don’t want to compete, the professor sets a great environment to ensure everyone is getting a great workout and learning experience. I have been training BJJ for 8 years and have trained with Gracie Barra, Checkmat, UFC Gym and have met many great instructors across them all. Me and my friend started not to too long ago and we just completed a month and it’s been great. Professor JP is a great mentor both on and off the Matt. EDJ is an amazing dojo. My now 7 year old son loves his class. I decided to put my son in Jiu Jitsu last year to try and mellow him out. He is a very active boy. The behavior change that I saw with him in a small amount of time is truly amazing. Jiu jitsu not only teaches you self defense it teaches you self-discipline, self-esteem, self-confidence, self-control and how to be a better listener. Pacific Top Team Martial Arts is a very family oriented gym with an amazing atmosphere! The people are extremely kind and willing to help you achieve your goal. They offer great classes. Their only womens class is one of my favorite classes because it creates an easy comfortable environment to learn self defense.Their kids programs are great, the instructors are very gentle and patient with the kids. The adult classes are very fun, the people that attend are very kind and helpful which make the classes very comfortable making it easier to learn.

Pacific Top Team is an amazing place to train. The coaching staff does and outstanding job working with the students. Team members support each other no matter what your goal is. I reached out to coach JP over facebook, when I was planning a trip to the area. He responded we discussed rates and I told him when I would be in town. I showed up a few early for my first class and was greeted by Mario the manager. I was welcomed in and got ready to train . The training was really excellent over the next few days I trained there. I was even allowed to stay for the advanced class even thought I wasnt at that level yet. I meet some cool people and other great coaches(Coach Abraham and Coach Kim). Came here with a friend for an intro.Was really happy with this academy and meeting Professor JP, super nice guy and knowledgeable guy.I unfortunately had a job change that took me out of Corona. Ive been in PTT for more than a year and so far the only thing i see from professor Juan Pablo is respect for all the people in the academy . Amazing Jiu-Jitsu Academy! I am currently visiting California for a couple of months and training with professor Juan Pablo Garcia and Pacific Top Team. From the moment I walked in people were very friendly and welcoming.The athosphere is awesome since you have a bit of everything (different age groups of kids classes, teens, adults begginers, advance and competition training) makes the place seem like a huge family with lots of different Jiu Jitsu goals, but all helping each other to be better at it.The facilities are also great, with two different mat for different classes. The instructor Juan Pablo is an amazing teacher, very dedicated to his student and loves sharing his knowledge and the different coaches are also all awesome!I definitely recommend going to a try out class with your whole family or by yourself.

Been coming for a few months, and while I was at my weakest ptt helped me to get on my feet. I want to thank Pacific Top Team for showing me their home, accepting me and now letting me make it my home. Professor JP introduced me to Jiu Jitsu and Ive been his student for a year and a half. I was a little intimidated by the sport at first but after a while with Prof Jp I was soon submitting the guys. He carefully chooses each of his students training partners to ensure we all have a safe and productive training session. I joined Pacific Top Team Corona, a little over a year ago. I couldnt be more happy with my choice. Professor J.P. Is an amazing teacher, and his supporting coaches are great. Coach Phil Brown and Coach Kim Prussyers-Bowser are great, and Coach Michael Ochoa brings his Judo experience and they are all great with the kids. My 5 year old son loves Saturday morning classes. Mario Sanchezs condition classes are great. Its such a great atmosphere, very friendly, the respect and culture is amazing, and it starts at the top and is carried on by everyone on the team. I found Pacific Top Team via a google search about a year ago. It has been an amazing experience. Great family friendly environment and a very safe place for women to train as well too. I came to visit from a PTT gym in Canada, I was so welcomed here by everyone and felt like part of a family. JP is a wealth of knowledge and has so much passion behind it. The womens coach Kim has an incredible gift for teaching. She breaks down techniques so well making them easy to understand and implement. Most of all I loved the Muay Thai classes. The instructor Daniel is so talented, he watches and gives feedback and lessons based specifically on your practice. In the few days I was there I noticed huge improvement in my striking game and was so impressed by him. I am already planning my next trip again to visit this gym again!

I train Jiujitsu in Chile, this year I had the opportunity to visit California and profesor JP invited me to take a class in his academy. Pacific Top Team is more than a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy, once you get into it. It becomes a family and much more than that you begin to challenge yourself and you begin to learn a beautiful art, while starting a new journey.

This jiu jitsu gym is not consistent with their coaches and they focus more on games than actually teaching jiu jitsu to the kids. I would NOT recommend this jiu jitsu gym.

I was being generous if I could give a negative rating I would, very underwhelming experience.A lot of money to invest to be taught by white belts, that dont have their basics down.

I would run away from the academy as fast as possible. They talk a big game but in the end they only care about getting as much money from you as possible. They pretend to teach about integrity, family and morals but when you get down to it, they are good a lip service and not much else.Peerless, Checkmat and Gracie have better programs. I know people that left PTT and gone to all three academies and are happier and receive quality training and not lip service.Im sure Bryan Giroux likes PTT. That is where he picks up on married women. Stay away from Bryan Giroux, he is one of the reason people left the academy. He doesnt mind sleeping with married students.JP, you wanted to make Bryan a coach at your academy, shame on you.

I have know profesor JP for years until I got to see him again in one of my trips to California. To my surprise, he has established a new BJJ academy in Corona. I went there and checked and fell in love with the class I witnessed. They have a great program by teaching kids and women as well; for instance, they have anti bullying program for kids/teenagers and self defense for women. I ended up trying one of those self defense clases and boy did I enjoy it! 👌🏼I recommend this establishment. Professor JP and his crew are very approachable and informative to their students and you can tell they encourage others to understand BJJ and its benefits and how you can apply this discipline in a daily basis and not to see it as a sport or an extra curriculum activity just for fun.Two thumbs up for this team!!! 👍🏼 👍🏼

About 7 months ago I asked my 5 year old daughter Mia to choose between Dance classes or JiuJitsu, and let me tell you that that has been the best decision she could have made. It’s amazing to see how much my daughter loves it. She talks about JiuJitsu every day. At first I was hesitant because I didn’t know whether to put her in because in my head it was a “BOY SPORT”. But thanx to this program my daughter is learning respect, self discipline, self defense, umong many other things. I’m sure Mia will continue to use jiujitsu in her every day life. I always wanted to learn martial arts, but never had the time. In the last couple of years, I researched the martial arts scene, and realized, BJJ was my first choice. Professor JP and Pacific Top Team are the best! Such a welcoming environment to learn jiu-jitsu. The instruction at Pacific Top Team is great, but what sets the academy apart are the awesome people that make up the team. Great place to train! When I started jiu jitsu I knew nothing about the sport and signed up at the first gym I visited. Not knowing what to look for in a gym, my uninformed choice cost me several months of quality training. PTT Corona is the complete opposite of my nightmare experience. Not only is Professor JP a world class coach, he is also a great human being. PTT not only offers the best training around, they also give you a second home and family.

DO NOT GO TO PACIFIC TOP TEAM it is 149 dollars a month for only 2 one hour classes a week and an open mat saturday which no one goes to. Also the classes always start late and there are so many kids everywhere they are more focused on watching them then teaching its like a daycare. The mats are tiny and Mario knows nothing. They dont teach the basics before putting you in the fire. Professor is rarely there and when he is the instructions are too fast and he walks away after teaching and doesnt tell you if you are doing it right or wrong. Oh yeah and they lock you into a contract so if you get hurt or move or stop going you still have to pay. Dont believe me youll see when you go. THIS PLACE WAS RIDICULOUS. DO NOT GO!!! If i could give negative stars i would.

Professor JP has the best BJJ school Ive visited. I came to the Riverside area for a one year work assignment and didnt plan on continuing with BJJ due to a neck injury. Professor JP encouraged me to continue BJJ and asked his students to go easy on my neck.Professor JP creates a family environment where everyone feels welcome and there are no bullies or arrogant attitudes allowed. Everyone is there to have fun, learn and get a great workout.It is common to see whole families hanging out at his large studio all enjoying BJJ and Professor JPs excellent instructors.Cant recommend Prof JP, his instructors and his Pacific Top Team school highly enough. 5 stars is a few stars too few.

My Family and I have been training BJJ for about 3 years now and were looking for a new home. PTT has exceeded our expectations! My kids (Ages 16, 10,8,6) have never been more excited to go to class! Both Professor JP and Coach Dan are actively involved in all the classes and flawlessly teach the kids Jiu Jitsu techniques all while having a great time. In addition to teaching the kids in a fun and safe environment, JP helps the kids to understand how to be respectful and mindful of each other and develop important character traits such as sportsmanship and safety! The Adult classes are FANTASTIC!! JPs passion and natural teaching ability shines though. He implements conditioning right alongside technique. He is patient and very detailed oriented, but breaks things down into simple steps that make learning easy. I love the drilling and repetition of techniques and situational training. Every class format is a bit different which keeps things fun and exciting! Both Professor JP and Coach Dan are genuine, authentic people providing a top notch, quality BJJ experience for anyone whether you have already been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or you are looking to start!
