It was a very nice place to come get my hair done. I came because I family member was studying here and they prepared her very well. I was happy with the treatment and the atmosphere. A little pricey but I would say worth it. They were very careful and took preventive measurements for Covid every time I move to a new station

Friendly welcoming environment. My student was understandably nervous, but she had 2 supervisors that stepped in anytime she had questions. The best part of this experience was seeing how knowledgeable and patient the supervisors were with all the students. It made me feel I was getting the best service I could get while helping someone on the path to starting their chosen career.

Outstanding veteran provided my manicure and pedicure and deserves a medal for her professionalism. So pleased. Im going back for sure.

Ive been getting my hair done at Aveda for the past few years now and they do a wonderful job at assisting the clients.The instructor is incredibly great at what she does and the students are always professional and friendly.I particularly love how clean and well kept the place is , not the mention the prices are pretty good.

I LOVE it here! The environment is like a high end salon experience, but its a school so you have students providing services. Its affordable. I have been going here for several years and have NEVER been disappointed. There is an experienced educator that checks the progress of the student work and will sometimes offer assistance as a teaching opportunity. I highly recommend it if you crave the high end salon experience but are on a budget like myself.

This place has the instructors telling the students to be the parking lot police. I parked next to the Nuevo Cafe building & students were telling me, you cant park here, you have to park on the other side of the building because this parking lot is for Aveda only. (Keep in mind the parking lot is attached to the rastaurant) My response, Im just picking up an order, in & out in 5 min. Im in NC, 2 min in, they get a call from Aveda with a threat that my car will be towed if I dont move it right now. I was omw out with my order, but that was outrageous. Do they not have anything better to do? Talk about not supporting small businesses...

I have been coming toAveda institute since the first opened in Corpus. It is has not changed still the best quality work. Everyone is always so friendly too.

I have been going to Aveda Institutes for almost a decade. I realize things are changing with all that is happening. However, to tell me I have to call the day I want to come in at 8 AM to see if I can be seen is not ok. I am unable to plan my day. Being told by the gentleman on the phone, who was clearly not interested in taking my call from the beginning of the call by his irritated tone, that “it is how it is” just makes it worse. The institute used to be a great place to go. People are not going to be able to come in all the time these days. I understand that. But, there has to be a minimum expectation of how many people will come in and limit the appointments to that amount. Allow everyone else, once those are full, to call in the morning of for an appointment. I don’t appreciate the rude tone from the beginning of the call then the flippant response when you don’t want to provide a service is not ok either. Disappointing to say the least.

I visited the salon for a 90 minute (!!!) facial by Lazette. She was confident and nurturing which allowed me to relax even more. My face was glowing and my whole body completely relaxed. The spa area was impeccably clean and the music extremely calming. After my facial I had my brows tinted (for the 1st time) by Chelsea. I had no idea what a difference it would make! She did a beautiful job and my brows continue to look amazing! If I lived in the area I would absolutely come monthly for each treatment.

After growing tired of wearing my thinning hair long and having had less-than-satisfactory experience over the years at local full-service salons, I made an appointment for a cut and style at Aveda Institute Six Points. I wanted a short, sassy, creative look that would appear full. It turned out to be the best hair experience I can remember. After a 3-y conversation among the student stylist, her instructor, and me, we settled style I thought I would like along with a detailed plan to achieve it. We went from mid-back length to just under my ears in an asymmetrical bob that I just love...and it didnt take long! I have maintained the cut, with minor modifications, using several different students (but asking for the same instructor to keep the cut consistent) and am now preparing to to make a long-overdue appointment in order shape the grown-out style. I have never been less than very pleased with the experience and results that have received at this institute. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Had an amazing experience going to school here, they help you out with even making sure I had a job after graduation. The Director was always helpful & made sure I succeeded & the front desk staff, director & student records was always understanding of my situations & help me get through them. Highly recommend going to school here !!

Absolutely loved my hair cut! Very professional. $18 got me a shampoo/condition, haircut, and blow dry. A student does the work but a professional signs off to make sure the stylist knows what you want and at the end before you pay if little details where missed she has them done before you pay.

In my opinion, the students here do a wonderful job. I also , firmly believe that the students should be getting way more credit and support from Aveda Institute than what they currently recieve.Your students put in hard work and allot of them are barley making it by a thread financially, only problem is most of them just will not talk about it .If Im being completely honest , to me its asthough this Institution steals from the students rather than actually helping them.If it were up to me , Id come up with a solution to address the issue, because we all know that a smart businessman/woman would help their students and come up with a win-win deal for everyone rather than be greedy.

Kari did a great job cutting my hair. She earned a 5 star review. The person at the front desk earns a ZERO star review. It took over 20 minutes to check out; no one was ahead of me. The young lady at check out was just unbelievably SLOW. Aveda had sent me a letter saying I qualified for a free birthday gift, which retailed for $23 dollars. The young lady at check out said she charged me for it but then said she credited my account. NOT TRUE. I checked my bank account, and found Aveda withdrew $23 for the free gift, but did not credit the $23 charge. The person behind me in line tossed her cash on the desk and said she simply could not wait any longer. I dont blame her. Haircut: great. Check out: wretched.

I got a 60-minute Tulasara Facial + Perfecting Plant Peel on Saturday w/Lindsay and it was AMAZING! Lindsay really took her time to give me a customized experience. I left not just feeling relaxed and rejuvenated but also feeling much more informed about how to care for my skin moving forward. I will definitely be back! Thank you, Lindsay!

The teacher educator Natalie is by far the best. She is a real asset to Aveda. She actually takes the time to teach the student which ensures the client haircut looks professional.

I have never had a facial in my life so when came to the Aveda Institute I was a blank canvas. I had the 30 minute facial and it was amazing! I would recommend them to anyone who is wanting a new place to get a facial or haircut. I will be going back and very soon :D

I love it here!!! I had gotten my first facial here and Amanda, the lady who did it, was so sweet , she explained everything she did and I felt super relaxed. It was overall a great experience!!!!

It was horrible experience, wanted to cry out of anger, my hair is bayalage. They destroyed my hair. I was tired being their almost 7 hours. And frustrated to see my hair brassy when its always soft, Always have had long hair, all I needed was a touch up. Its always fast maximum 2 hours at other places, shouldve gone back to San Antonio. I think I am gonna have to cut my hair. Of course somewhere else. 😥

As a graduate student of Aveda corpus, i have to say it was the worst thing I’ve ever done with my money. $18,000 in tuition, and i barely learned anything. I was left on my own to learn most of what i did, not at all prepared for the real world. They did not prepare me on my state board test, i had to YOUTUBE videos of how people passed the test. I’m in debt for nothing but the NAME of Aveda, not the skills they promise at the door. The sales lady will do anything to get you to sign those papers. You’re better off at Delmar. Please do not go. They are disorganized, impolite, shallow, and if you’re not they’re favorite, They won’t help you. I got lucky i landed the job i did, thanks to myself.

Made an appointment. They were right on schedule! Vanessa was the student that did my hair. My hair is blond,thick and was not looking how I wanted. Vanessa did a partial foil highlight on my hair and I honestly am so excited! My hair turned out way better than my expectations. She was great. The experience will definitely have me returning!! Thank you.

They are very nice and are very helpful. Whatever you want to ask theyll help you find an answer. They all have a smile on thier face making you feel welcomed.

My son has been going there for a year and absolutely loves it. This is the first place that has cut his hair the way hes asked. Allyson is the best!!

Took a week to call me back and stated they told me before that my hair would not fully turn the color I wanted..liesssssssss then turned my hair brown when I walked in with blonde ends...and Half way through the super nice girl let me know it was her first balayage...hands down worst experience, thats what I get , paying full price else where for sure smh

I went for a shampoo, deep conditioning and simple style and Kari did a great job. Great experience, I will go back!

These people dont know what theyre doing. They continue to mess so many people up on their hair color, hair cuts, and other services. And charge you high prices for ridiculous mess up services. These people are not getting teached or train properly. I cant imagine what they pay, its not worth it!!

Very disappointed in this salon. Bad experience two years ago and tried again now and bad color again. Both times tech tried to fix with second application. Both times the results had to fixed by a licensed hair stylist. They are over seen by educators and would think they would watch each step but seems to disconnect during application. Be cautious as they charge whether right or wrong.

My Beautician was Bethany Lopez . She was professional , friendly and kept engaging me in conversation . Asked about my needs and comfort level.Had a BAD beauty school experience several years back . If no stars was an option. My sister went to get her hair done and was told they can get her the color she wants. At the end not near the color and patches of different shades. She was told by a teacher that if she saw her she would have told her that color cant be done. So she said come back and she will fix when she went back teacher wasnt there. After paying all that money even after they messed up it is ridiculous. Well I guess lesson learned.

Do NOT come to school here, it is a scam. the tuition is way overpriced, 20,000 for each cosmo student. And once 50% of the program is complete, you do not get any of your money back. At the 50% mark, thats when things change. They start following the fine print you signed in the beginning in order to get you kicked out, if they dont have a reason, they will look for one and open a station to make room for another 20,000 dollars walking in the door. HUGE SCAM. Stay far away.

I have gone to this teaching salon several times in the past and I always have had good service and I tip really well. The second last time I was there, they were offering a promotion for 2 free facials and 2 free pedicures if I bought all the items suggested. I purchased those items and then some. The cashier told me that my name was in the computer for these promotions and they do not expire. I call today to make those appointments. And the staff is clueless. I am extremely disappointed and will never come back. I even paid for the students mistake the last time I was there. She was supposed to do new growth color only and did my whole head. Which I had to get cut off somewhere else because she damaged my hair. She also had another student mix up the color who forgot an ingredient. She also let me know that if customers do not tip in cash that the students do not get the amount of the tip as pay, but only receive an Aveda gift card in the amount of the tip. I had my husband go to the bank and withdraw cash for the student who messed up my hair because I feel that this policy is wrong. You all suck and I am very mad and dissapointed! Aveda, you lost a very good customer for life and I will be sure to tell everyone I know about your mishandelling of this incident.

The time it took to do a basic color retouch and cut was not good. It took over 4hrs. The student was very unsure of herself and when she started to cut my hair she acted like she had never done a cut before. i have been there before with a senior and it was great, but this appt. was changed to a junior at the last minute and she was not even on time. My appt. was not even started till 20 after the set time and it took another 20 mins to mix color. I dont think i will be returning anytime soon.

Im aveda alumni of 2018 and I just want to say this school is completely disorganized. There was no communication among staff and they were never were on the same page with the students. They push that you arent just a number when infact thats all you are. With the exception of one of two teacher they staff is terrible. They pick and choose who they will focus on and help those certain ppl with their career. The who is too much money for what you get and they dont care of you are in a life struggle of get left behind. I dont recommend this aveda school at all. The Houston and Austin institutes are best. Corpus is in their trial run and it definitely shows. Plus nothing ever worked. There were steamers broken, bathrooms that smelled horrible, no heater in the winter and no a.c. in the summer. The spa chairs were trashed and there was never any room for students. They crammed us all in tiny rooms to watch demos. Almost 40 students to 1 person explaining and demonstrating how to do a treatment. There was an obvious struggle for teachers to find things for students to do. Since Ive been there 4 to 5 ppl have gotten something stolen and thats only from the esthi class and they staff did nothing about it. There were no cameras installed only promises that there would be. This school is a huge empty promise.

I requested information. I was texted a phone number I call just asking a general question if the times flexible and she asks what campus I Wil be attending..Confused cause I assume maybe she meant what part of beauty school I was attending thinking the schedule is different between areas studied, so I ask. And this lady picked up a tone saying theyre located here and there etc. (Im in corpus I dont know much about beauty schools but I know del Mar has different campuses all in 1 city.. and I thought I needed the address which I dont know where any avedas campuses are located)And this was my first time talking to anyone.. and first impression was terrible.. will definitely not being going to this school.

This is the slowest place ever. I had made an appointment for 9:30 in the morning i showed up before then. There was three haircuts scheduled my mom, my sister, and mine. My mom got layers and a trim and my sister got a trim. It literally took 2 and a half hours once they called them back to the haircut chair. So disappointed dont come here unless you like wasting your day. If i went to a supercuts i wouldve been out on 15 minutes. Complete waste of time.

They are always friendly and I have nwver had a problem with any of my hair cuts. The instructors keep watch on what and how the students cut the hair.
