Mi Casita is my dream school! Our boys truly enjoy going to school. Integrating Montessori & Spanish language is Amazing!! In the short time my children have been we’ve seen how fast a child can pick up a new language, but more importantly how to be independent and do things for themselves. The staff is so welcoming and encouraging! The community they have created has been an amazing experience for our family. We are grateful to have found Mi Casita Montessori school

Truly a life changing experience for your kids AND parents. Both our kids know basic Spanish and have learned life lessons that they will carry on forever! This is more than a school, it is a community of staff and parents training children for life. We are so grateful for everything this place has done for our family! Highly recommend!

We enrolled our son in the summer program and he really enjoyed it. He came home each afternoon with a report of the interesting and fun activities he participated in. Everything is hands on and interactive. He loved his teachers and the other children. It truly is a great school.

My daughter had a wonderful experience at Micassita Montessori School for three years. The perfect early childhood experience! Six years later my daughter still says she wishes it went up to Middle School! It’s a family run business and no detail is missed, because they care.

If you want to pay $700.00+ dollars per month to have your child get traumatized and emotionally and physically abused, this is definitely the right place to go.This a sad, and dirty, place for children and the worst part is that parents are clueless. The center is overpriced so parents are under the impression that it must be a good place where their children will receive a high quality education; but Parents, DO YOUR RESEARCH. Talk to other parents who have already taken their children out of that horrible place and get their opinion on their experience and the horrendous things that children had to say about it.It is one thing to hear a story from one parent, but SEVERAL families have talked to their children and sadly, their accounts establish and confirm a pattern of victimization and child abuse. Different children, from different families have reported the same things Senora Mayra, would yell/push/shove/embarrass/drag me for various reasonsPerhaps, the reason is that none of those babysitters, who call themselves teachers are actually teachers in the United States. They all hold Montessori certification which actually means what? that they watch videos and take some assessment, and suddenly they feel qualified to provide an adequate and nurturing environment to fulfill and meet the different needs and learning styles of children during the most critical time of development.PARENTS, DO NOT GET FOOLED.All of the employees that are in direct contact with the children have received their credentials in Mexico and the only employees with degrees in the U.S. are NOT TRAINED in Education or Child Development. The person in that center with the most education, holds a Masters degree in Business Administration. They are indeed trained to make a business out of you and your children and they have the credentials to prove it.I urge every parent considering this school, to be careful and get references from other parents.Dont leave your child in that place before getting informed and considering the facts.I cannot go back in time and prevent the children I love from getting abused, but I CAN prevent other innocent children from going through a horrible experience and parents from feeling guilty of having exposed their children to unprofessional, unfair, and insensitive people that will negatively impact them for the rest of their lives.

Our son attended Mi Casita for 2 years and just graduated kindergarten. Mi Casita is much more than a Spanish immersion school, its a loving, caring, nurturing community where teachers and parents join forces to help children grow and flourish.Genuinely focused on childrens success. Truly follow and practice the Montessori principles of helping children doing things themselves and staying up to date through continuous education. The level of cleanliness is unparalleled. We have lived internationally and Mi Casita surpasses all other schools we had access to. Our child has never been sick while there. They are true proponents of healthy living, clean, organic eating habits, prepare healthy snacks, make their own orange juice, and sometimes soups with organic ingredients.its a family owned and run school and it truly feels like dropping off your child with family. The teachers really walk the talk of giving your child an advantage for life. They instill the motto homework is the work of home at the young age of their students. The Spanish immersion is a true advantage that cannot be found in many schools.Another very convenient aspect is that they bring extra curricular activities to the school with choices such as fitness, dance, karate.Judging by the long tenure of staff with the school, it is evident that they feel valued and value the school. The level of professionalism and passion for what they do is evident. They attend continuous education, maintain an open communication with the families, organize many events where they engage the community: police department, waste and recycling department visits, dental practices and parents presenting heritage, customs, places, professions and many other learning opportunities that contribute to a whole education, not just the basics, the academics. Children observe the cycle of life in nature through following caterpillars to the butterfly stages, at the cost of losing plants that get replenished during the Arbor Day event where children plant and garden. A bird is nesting in the walls of Mi Casita and Coco and Mocha, the guinea pigs, are happy there. We were happy to travel 23 miles each way two times a day for our son to attend Mi Casita.Mi Casita has instilled the core values in our child and contributed majorly to raising a wholesome human being, with respect, love, nurturing, knowledge and passion.

We just celebrated our third Mi Casita graduation last week! I cannot say enough about this sweet school! Our experience at Mi Casita in the 12 years we have been there has been amazing. Mi Casitas Montessori environment provided our boys with an excellent foundation and fundamental understanding of mathematics, reading and writing. Whenever I would sit in and observe in the classroom I was always amazed by the industriousness, competence and concentration of the children while they worked! Each child works at his or her own pace. The kids were quick to assist each other and help each other out. Sra. Mayra is an amazing teacher! Parent-teacher conferences would last 30 minutes while she went over each item and discussed our individual child and his strengths (as well as what he still needed to work on). She is detail oriented and very committed to her classroom! Her passion and love for teaching and for the kids is evidenced by the strong performance of Mi Casita graduates! Personally, our three boys graduated fluent in Spanish and went on to do extremely well in both traditional and Montessori elementary school classrooms. So far, weve been able to keep their Spanish up (and even advance it) with once weekly tutoring and they have maintained their fluency even though their Dad and I do not speak Spanish. If you are interested in a top-notch, quality, bilingual Montessori education, I encourage you to stop by for a visit! You will be amazed by what you see (especially if you have any experience with other preschool environments).

My kids started their school career at Mi Casita and still remember it fondly as do I. Montessori is amazing. Building on a foundation of respect and learning as natural, the method teaches children that they can do for themselves through practice and refining. Montessori, however, has to be done right in order to be effective and at Mi Casita, they do it right. Tirelessly setting the environment each morning and constantly tweaking it as the years go by toward perfection is the Mi Casita difference. They seek out staff who can be Montessori (not an easy task given every adult in a childs life is a part of his environment) and train them well. I now have two intelligent, independent problem solvers who, at 14 and 16 years of age, can do more than most adults in this world and who were, at preschool age, setting and clearing the table for dinner, dressing themselves and reading/writing in 2 languages. My high schoolers teachers were surprised and amazed at his level of independence, reading level and writing level and are often slightly annoyed at how hes always finding better ways to do what they assign. We owe this not only to Montessori, but to Montessori done right at Mi Casita. The staff is highly patient and models appropriate behaviors for the students. I never saw any of my childrens teachers (Sra Magaly, Sra Mayra, Sra Sonya) or the administrator (Sra Angelica) lose temper, which is saying a lot given my oldest is highly ADHD and can be a handful. Highly recommend this school to anyone with children toddler through Kindergarden.

We loved Mi Casita. Both of my children went there for 5 years. They are bilingual kids and very happy. My kids love Sra. Mayra and everybody else in the school. Sra Norma and Sra Carolina were amazing with my children and Sra Sonya as well. Their Montessori training is very intense. I went to observe very often and I loved what I saw!

My son went to Mi Casita for 3 years. When he started he was a little rough around the edges, but after 1 year I saw a significant difference in his attitude and his work ethic. He thrived in the Montessori environment and excelled. He came out of Sra. Mayras classroom adding, subtracting, and reading and speaking both English and Spanish. He made many friends and came home talking about having respect for others and a the importance of being a good person. He loved the projects he did with Sra. Sonya and recently commented that he missed Sra. Mayra. Aww!My daughter just completed her first year in the toddler classroom and even though she is still adjusting, she has a lot of love for her teachers and her friends. She has learned her colors and counts from one to ten in English, Spanish and (thanks to a Capoeira demo done at her school) Portuguese. She also loves to sing and dance with her friends and Sra. Rosa.Every time I call or email, Angelica, the school administrator, is available for me. I talked to my childrens teachers almost everyday and would get little tidbits about their progress. During the parent-teacher conferences we talk at length about where my kids are and what we need to work on. I believe the school provides a great foundation for kids to do for themselves and prepares them for the future of their education so they are self motivated and self started. I am confident that my oldest son has gotten the best out of Mi Casita Montessori School and that he will do well in the future.
