I have two daughters that I just enrolled at Barnes Elementary and they both love there new school and both my husband and I feel the same. As far as the dress code I think its wonderful that they have to wear solid colored tops and bottoms which I think it is very much affordable low incomed or not. The staff are very friendly and helpful and both of my daughters teachers are very nice I am so glad my girls have joined this excellent school.

My kids love their school. Great teachers, caring staff, principle and counselor are very helpful and school is in a nice, quiet neighborhood.

Someone posted on here about an autistic child not having proper teacher guidance. Autistic kids are a handful to take care of and teach. Teachers are under paid and over worked its impossible for them to help special needs kids. Its a terrible situation trying to have 20-30 kids in a classroom with special kids. Seriously who wants that responsibility?? Thats why there is a shortage of teachers.

This school is horrible. My son had intellectual disability, Autism and they did not help him with his Academic. My son’s teacher Mrs. Lott, the principle, and Jessica Bowers(counselor) who pretended that everything was okay with my son. For example, my son got hurt in school during his school time and nobody reached out to me, instead I had to speak to the counselor about it. They knew my son had speech delay and the did not care what was going with my son.

This is the best elementary school ever.😊☺😀if you go you will love it.😉😉

When I went here in the 90s it was called Ella Barnes not just Barnes. Just not a fan of the name change lol
