Excellent instruction and many class choices in older grades! Especially good for advanced students and Math team in 5th-8th grade is one of the best in the state! All 7 of my children attended and did very well in acedemics, music, athletics, and socially. They loved going to school here and were motivated to stay before and after school for extracurricular. 5 of my children graduated Flour Bluff High school so far! This has been our school choice since 2011 and still have 2 students in 2020! Go Hornets!

This school is amazing, in fact Im still currently getting my education here.If it wasnt for some of the teachers here Id probably be dead, Ive been suicidal since I could speak and without some of teachers stopping me and smacking me upside the head (not literally) Id be somewhere I shouldnt. And yes their were some students that couldnt be helped, but the school reached out to help and they didnt grab their hand.Thank you Flour Bluff-Sincerely Daniel hernandez

Please, please, please dont do this to your child. This schools only concern, only thought, and only goal is politics. Its just too big. The children are just cattle through a gate. Those deemed not up to par are slaughtered, and those that are merely blend in. The charter and private schools are, by far, your best options.

In light of finding out that the school has opted to use a curriculum that teaches a falsehood rather than truth. CSCOPE is anti-American, and full of inaccuracies. To be allowing such curriculum into the system is teaching something that is blatantly UNTRUE. The Superintendent and other district officials need to be put on alert by families that this will NOT be tolerated. If others are concerned about this then its time that you dont sit back on your hands and not say anything. Its time to become vocal about what is being taught to the children within this district. Dont just sit back and wag your heads, and wish that the truth be taught or how much what is taught in school has changed since you were last in school. Its not time for that. Get up and speak out!

My two high school students started at Flour Bluff in Sophmore and Junior year from Florida. Ive found that the school stands by its motto, Every student is worth my best. Professional caring approachable teachers and staff. We are very fortunate to be part of this community. My students are recieving, not only exceptional acedemic instruction, but they are influenced by exceptionally upstanding teachers and staff.

My daugher started school here in K. Her first teacher was AmAzInG as well as her first grade teacher. They both encouraged her and challenged her and even went out of their ways to give her special work. 5 starts for these teachers along with the staff in those buildings great bunch of people. (My daughter is very smart) Her 2nd Grade teacher did the opposite. She was put on the back burner, I guess she was considered easy. I complained and even requested a new teacher but was told to Work it out with the teacher Anyway I feel my daughter is no behind where she should and could have been if the teacher were as enthusiastic?... involved? as her previous teachers. One star for her. but 5 starts for the staff. Her 3rd Grade teacher was OKAY she wasnt a one star teacher or anything but she certainly wasnt a 5 star either. This is the year we left. The day I went to pick her up and check her out was the day I met the staff in this building (well the front desk lady anyway). She was RUDE! I dont know if the front desk lady was having a bad day or what but she obviously didnt like me. I requested to see another student before we left and she gave me such a hard time about it. Finally I just said Either you pull him out of class for five minutes so we can say bye or Ill check him out for the rest of the day This may seem extreme on my behalf but we are very close and he was best friends with my child. This lady stood next to us while we said bye and after a few moments said He needs to go back to class I guess she needed to feel like she had some sort of authority in the situation. This happen months ago and the thought of her still gets to me. This school has wonderful potential. It has wonderful teachers but I Feel that they are not as involved as they should be. I dont have any idea who the counselors are, or the principles. Weve been at our new school for just a few months and everyone knows me and I know them. They are involved, easy to talk to, and all around 100% better. I think FBISD once lived up to its reputation for being one of the Better if not Best school districts around, but they are falling and have fallen pretty far from what it once was.
