I did the 14 day EMT program September of 2021, and took my test 4 weeks after I completed it. I passed, and couldnt believe how much of what they went over was applicable to the test. Every single instructor was different, but offered incredible coaching and support. Esmer was incredibly helpful with all I needed to know since I came from NV to do this, and I will forever be grateful to this program.

I took the 14 day EMT program and really enjoyed it. It is very fast-paced, but that sort of learning style works for me. I took my NREMT test one week after finishing the program and I passed first try! Texas EMS Academy has great instructors that are experienced in the field and explain things very well. I highly recommend this course!

This is a real and honest review! I just graduated from this academy’s 14 day EMT program. I took my National Registry a few days ago and passed first try. This school is awesome and has great teachers. I made a bunch of awesome friends and had a blast. If you’re looking to get EMT certified ASAP this is the place for you. Highly recommend!

This is by far the best accelerated program available. From the time you arrive, they make you feel special. Each instructor has their own unique way of explaining the material. They share stories and techniques from years of real world experience. For someone like me, the visualization of actual events was much easier to understand than attempting to visualize the scenarios provided in the book. Not only would I recommend Texas EMS Academy, but I would strongly suggest it. Nowhere else will you get genuine people who actually care if you succeed. I passed my national registry on the first attempt less than a week after the class ended. Although I could have named everyone that was so amazing, it would be a disservice to anyone that I may have forgotten simply because of how outstanding every single person was. If you make the right decision in choosing to attend, you will not regret it.

I can’t recommend this academy enough! They make the 14 days of straight class work and clinicals more than manageable and make sure that you only learn the information that you actually will need to know in the future. The instructors made class fun and were all more than amazing!! They all have experience and again make sure and only teach you valuable information but also make class fun and enjoyable. I passed the NREMT on the first try and this course made sure I was well-prepared!

Excellent school. Instructors were great, very professional and took the time to make sure you understand the knowledge they are teaching. Clinicals were assigned appropriately and even offered tutoring before NREMT exam. Anyone on the fence about which school to attend I highly recommend Texas EMS Academy.

I would recommend this academy to anyone who is serious about becoming an EMT. The course is taught by current Paramedics that work for CCFD along other surrounding EMS providers. If you attend the 2 week course like I did, understand that a lot of information will be thrown at you however, if you pay attention, through the quizzes and tests, you will come to learn the information. Overall, I had a great experience and passed my NREMT Exam.

Everyone was friendly there and made you feel welcome. The course was very informative. Rey really helped us by sharing his experiences in the field and was able to provide us with the tips that we can use if we ever need to.

I took my EMT-B class here as a requirement to be a firefighter. I initially thought it would be a hassle having to take this course but it turned out to be an incredible experience. The instructors vast knowledge and skill were matched only by their determination to see their students pass. They’re willing to meet with you nearly anytime you need if you’re struggling with anything or if you just want to review previous material. After taking their 30 day class I was able to pass the NREMT exam on my first attempt. I definitely recommend the Texas EMS Academy to anyone that is looking for an EMS course.

This is an AMAZING place to go. They offer a 14 Day EMT course. Its hard, but they make it as entertaining as possible and you learn so much. They go above and beyond to make sure you understand the material, theres tons of hands on experience and help if needed.They give you everything you need to pass the NR-EMT and even make sure youre set up to test before leaving. They even have an agreement with a hotel near by if youre coming from out of town like I did.If you have the chance to go for the class, I would 100% recommend.

Best school you could ask for!! The class is tough but hey it is 2 weeks, the instructors are very knowledgeable, the owner will work with you with anything also, and everyone is very nice and kind! If you are having trouble they will help you in every way!!

Honestly I do not even know where to begin--and I never feel compelled to write reviews, but given the overwhelmingly positive experience I have had these last 2 weeks at Texas EMS Academy (completed the 14-day EMT-B accelerated program), I felt like I owed it to all of you out there to add yet another 5 star review and tell you about how awesome my time here has been. If you stop reading here, all you need to know is that if you are the fence about EMT school, and in particular, Texas EMS Academy, DO IT. At the risk of sounding corny, the program is amazing, but the people truly are even better...so much so that they have actually inspired me to submit an application to CCFD. And I had absolutely no intention of applying down here prior to coming--the people are that excellent. Before you even arrive on campus, the staff already has you covered and makes everything extremely easy and painless. You will be greeted by the wonderful Alexa and Esmer each day and they will go above and beyond to help you with absolutely anything and everything and ensure your time runs smoothly. Rey Rabagos, the founder, has assembled a stud and studette-filled roster of instructors, in addition to being an absolute legend himself. An extremely accomplished and humble guy still with the Corpus Christi Fire Department, Rey is always there to help in any way he possibly can. You will be instructed by the best, and they somehow not only make a seemingly impossible amount of sophisticated information easy for the layperson to understand, but they also find a way to make it fun. You will have veteran, extremely well-respected members of CCFD, like Kris Collins, Mark Smith, or Chief Danny Valdez, who have many years of EMT, Paramedic, and Fire under their belt, in addition to younger, up-and-coming, top of their class, all-around stars-in-the-making like Kassandra Goce, Austin Eagerton, and Ryan Bram, who are not only insanely knowledgable, accomplished (all EMT, Paramedic, and Fire at CCFD) and wildly helpful, but also have invaluable insight onto what exactly is on the NREMT exam. And on top of it, Joe Brunemeier (also CCFD EMT, Paramedic, and Fire) will hook you up with clinical rotations to get actual experience with EMS departments and the ER. And the results speak for themselves: was able to pass the NREMT Exam first try, and that’s not me blowing my own horn, because that is fully because of the program and people at Texas EMS Academy. I’m a local firefighter/paramedic in the coastal bend, i obtained my paramedic through Texas EMS Academy. They have partnered up with School of EMS to conduct paramedic courses in the Corpus Christi area. My class was smooth, excellent instruction, alot of knowledge was passed onto me by experienced paramedics and really enjoyed attending class. The best part about it is that you are able to work a full time job and obtain your certification at the same time. Definitely recommend signing up with Texas EMS Academy if you aspire to be an EMS professional

Great staff and instructors that make learning the content a breeze! Highly recommend!!(Obtained ACLS and PALS).Learn from my mistake and do not purchase anything online!! You cannot just do the hands-on portion, you pay for the whole course, but you will pay less than what you will find online and then trying to do the skills portion with someone else (which is not easy in Corpus Christi).

This is a great program with kind , helpful staff that really care about you being successful. They also do a great job of preparing students for the NREMT.

I started the 14 day EMT class last November, but had to stop near the end because of medical problem with my eyes. It cleared up and Ray was kind enough let me finish up class in March. Because of the virus, I could not get a date for the NREMT test until May 8, but I was able to pass on my first try. Great training. All of the instructors know EMS and are good teachers.

Outstanding and knowledgeable instructors! For BLS and ACLS, informative instruction delivered in a common sense manner that is not only easy to understand, but put in real life scenarios which help you retain the lessons. Rey was direct to the point. It was a small group but was never boring at all. He taught us how to do CPR realistically. You don’t have to remember all the numbers, where a lot of people get confused. I find the course interesting and comprehensive.

Had my CPR class here on Sunday and it was great! As an elementary teacher Ive had to keep up with training like my CPR certification yearly, but I definitely learned a lot more here than other places I had gone in the past. I met Rey, who started this place, and he is very knowledgeable. I love that his main goal and heart is to educate and help our community grow.I would recommend this place to anyone!

Searched around for fast tracked EMT-B programs for a few months. I saw a couple 18 day courses then thankfully came across this company! 14 days and in Texas! Can’t beat that! I started class on 5/13 and ended 5/26. Jonathan (our lead instructor) was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely wanted to see his students succeed! I took my NREMT test on 6/1 and passed first try!!! Great program! Even better instructor!

This academy is awesome!! Im a busy guy, homeschool four kids, PE coach for my kids homeschooling CoOp, Head Coach for a HS Lacrosse team. The Texas EMS Academy allowed be to get the education I needed with my hectic schedule. The knowledge I gained allowed be to pass the NREMT the first time. I highly recommend the Texas EMS Academy for busy, self sufficient students.

Great place for locally run EMS courses and card re-certs. Did my BLS here to re-cert, scheduling online was easy to do and the course with Ray was very engaging. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone in EMS that needs to renew or do their initial BLS or ACLS/PALS. Heard they have 30 day EMT-B and 10 month Paramedic courses too for those needing that. I didn’t do those courses here (already a Paramedic) but knowing they have one of my old Del Mar instructors, Chris Grody from CCFD, on teaching staff I have no doubt the courses would be exceptional quality.

I just recertified my BLS today. No waiting time to attend the class. I called on a Wednesday, I was in sitting in class this Saturday. Very knowledgeable instructor... straight to the point, I am returning in a few months to renew my ACLS.
