Terrible School. The admissions director made appointments with me that she never showed up for, then was completely rude to me like it was my fault. I would be scared how she would treat my child.

This is a terrible school. I went here for first grade in 2000, and the teacher I had was extremely racist, biased, and would make fun of the kids. She was some Indian/Middle Eastern lady who wore glasses, if anyone is interested (I dont remember her name). It was obvious that she had a favorite student (who was white), and she would pick on children of other ethnicities. When she handed out treats/rewards, it was obvious who would be getting them. I would also often get in trouble for absolutely no reason. Believe me, if your child tells you he/she doesnt like their teacher, there is probably a good reason for it. Please do NOT send your child here.

I went to both the preschool and the elementary school, but unfortunately in the 3rd grade we moved to a different city. The school was a Godsend for me. They help children advance and develop at such a phenomenal speed. I remember that by the time I was meant to start at my new school I was further ahead of the other students and they wanted me to skip a grade. I had learned to read at an early age and divide and multiply by the time i was in 2nd grade. The teachers were always extremely nice and always very informative when it came to meeting with parents. They made sure the children accomplished as much as they were capable of. (they say we use 10% of our brains and I believe they pushed that 10%) The principal was amazing as well. She was always very kind. Even years after I stopped going to the school she remembered my brother and I, and my parents by name. Which is always nice. I have nothing but great memories from this school and Im extremely thankful that my parents picked Harbor Mesa. I recommend this school without a question to everyone who has the chance to send their children here.
