Fantastic school!!!! I graduated from this school in 1980 from 8th grade and if I had a chance to change anything in my life, I would NEVER change going to Father John V. Doyle School. When I went to this school it was named St. John & Paul School and I knew Fr. Doyle. FrDoyle was supposed to marry me & my husband in June of 1984 but, he became ill (stroke) and couldnt. I was very upset because Fr. Doyle Baptised me, he was there when I made my First Communion & Confirmation & I wanted him to marry us but, it wasnt supposed to be that way. ❤💖💕💗💓💜

FJVD has been my only school since kindergarten, starting off good with much stuff to explore and our minds would grow. I am starting middle school this year and I assume I will most often be depressed. I dont like the school that much...its not staff member nor student, its the decisions they have made. As FJVD progresses, I expect it to become a small percentage worse, as some new shadows enter the school, they never come back the next year. another bug in the system is the uniform limit, the shoes. Shoes are one of the most vital parts about our outdoor activity and playtime, but, we are forced to wear these black dress shoes, and the uniform is no worse, we have to wear heavy thread in the fall, and it is an issue with students that sweat alot. The best part about FJVD for my experience are the events and the students. The events always give us oppurtunities to earn christian service hours, and on the other hand the students are greatly friendly and nice.

So in 2011 I entered a great school with amazing teachers and great possibilities!! I came in kindergarten. Those were the golden years....they were so fun and amazing. The hot lunches were actually delicous. With Monday having animal nuggets and tater tots. Tuesday having mac n cheese. Wednesday had pasta. Thursday we had either pancakes, waffles, or french toast. And on Friday we had PIZZA 🍕. 1st grade was my favorite year but it was mostly the same. 2nd grade was the same. Sadly the best principal retired. And a new one came and was fun and nice to everyone. 3rd grade was the year where things got like it was fun, but the work was no fun and it was before. It was still a fun year though. But then...(sigh) fourth grade... There was a new principal again. But the new principal was no fun she took everything that was fun about this school and turned it into a Boring, Rule-Infected, No Fun school. There was a thing called Fun Day which was where kids played sports and cool things like challenges such as giant jenga and so many more things...Guess what? That was banned because work was more important. Gym class has almost every single fun game BANNED except for sandwich tag and capture the flag. The teachers are okay...but they are trained to mostly teach academics, But some of them break the rules and make it better. and also the work is unlearnable. The way they teach it is really hard to understand my sister had to redo 3rd grade due to hard work and bullying. And lemme get this straight...The teachers are nice..if youre a girl..the teachers are really sexist. Punishments go too hard for most of the boys and the girls act the same as the teachers and are really annoying. If youre a girl and want to make friends go to OLM, a much better school. The principal is mean and I have seen countless a kids crying in front of her when they walk out of the office. The rules are really stupid! From water bottle bans fidget spinner bans and going with earrings bans, even making a youtube channel or social media account if you go to the school. The best thing that happened is seeing a kid bottle flip in front of the principal. WARNING: IF YOU SEND YOUR CHILD HERE THEY WILL WANT TO LEAVE THE SCHOOL. And I have several people who agree 100% percent with me. Have a good day...

They are a poor choice. They do not train the teachers on kids with ADD or ADHD. I was taken out of this school because of this and I would never bring my kids here.
