I went here for an all over color, going darker. The TEACHER was confused of how to go darker. I am a licensed hairdresser and I know she did it completely wrong. The teachers never checked the students work or had any check offs. I left with half my head missing color, shampoo and hair color still in my hair after the student said it was done. It’s by no means the students fault, as she is still learning. I do blame the teachers for not informing the student 1. How to do it and 2. Checking the work. I had to go home and buy product and redo the whole thing.

Horrible. I left looking 80% worse then when I went in. I am at a salon right now, paying lots of $$$$ to CORRECT my color. I was attempting school 3 days in a row. NOW JUST 6 DAYS TILL WEDDING.The instructor said they couldnt do anything. I left in tears. Under the dryer now.Hoping to look normal again!!!!

Great way to get that color haircut facial etc done for much more reasonably priced. They have instructors watching and helping. Color not always exact but they are willing to tint or re do. Please tip on what a regular price of the service is. I always give a $20. Student is always thrilled.

Marina was my stylist. About to graduate she did my highlights and they were PERFECT! We had to tone my hair twice but she took great care. There honestly is no difference between coming here and a professional salon except here you’ll pay half the price! I’ll be back. Nice work.

I called them at 10am and was there by 11am and they fit me in. I have very dark brown hair and wanted to go to red- my stylists name was Jacob and he was absolutely fabulous. I did not get the name of his instructor but she was very kind and helpful. She constantly came around and made sure everything was satisfactory. All the students there were so accommodating and super friendly. I had a great experience and the final result was exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend this location because the service was phenomenal.

I would absolutely recommend giving your local beauty school a try. A friend made the suggestion to me. So I thought ok! I had never been to one and friends hair always looks great. That’s her go to place for getting her hair cut. I was pleasantly surprised. I got a Great haircut. And the price was equally great. I’m very grateful for this local available option for getting my haircut.

If you’re an aspiring barber I wouldn’t recommend this school, it felt very unorganized and 2 months after I left I still can’t get them to show me receipts of what was paid by my financial aid or my transcripts.

I would give it no stars if that was an option. They will schedule your appointments with people that are not even present there. when you show up there they will simply say oh sorry we are busy. they dont care about your time and schedule. While the students are busy doing their own hair and make-up, they just lack the courtesy to oblige to their prior commitments. I will not go there unless you have a lot of free time to waste. The lower rates that they offer are not worth.

Brianna gave me highlights today. She did a wonderful job. It costs a fraction of what a salon would charge; mainly a time investment. It took 2 1/2 hours.

Called on a Tuesday afternoon to get a recording stating they were busy and to leave a message and they would call me back, So I did. Wednesday morning they called back, we then schedule appointments for both myself and husband for facials on same day at 6:30 pm. Arrived for appointments to sit and wait as we saw several students and One single teacher walking around. Teacher approached us stating that the students were setting everything up for us. I asked if Heat mist machine were what they used and she replied no, that they use Warm washcloths. I said ok. So we sat for over 30 mins waiting to get aggravated due to the LONG WAIT. We then decided to leave. Told the guy receptionist we were leaving due to the long wait and he said that when they have walk ins it takes longer due to having to prepare then realized we had appointments and apologized. Left with no facials done. Disappointing.

Will be going back. Very professional!

The school is good. I feel Ive learned a lot and the teachers are nice and they help you whenever you need it. They all treat you with respect and so do the students.

Lets see....the girl who did my head knew nothing. All I wanted was highlights....literally took 5 hours. The next class was coming in by that time and she left my hair unfinished so a teacher quickly did the rest of my hair. Okay..Im not a professional but leaving some hair dyed 15 minutes verses the ones that were in 5 hours...lets say my hair did not turn out good. They knew it too because they wouldnt let me blow dry my hair until I insisted I do it myself if no one was going to help. I was a painted pony!! When I wanted my money back the lady pitched a fit....all and all I regret not making more of a stink when my hair was taking so long... i KNEW it was going to be bad. Urg

Educator who I spoke to was rude. I wasted my time of 1hour & gas to come to an appt and they were not able to accommodate it. When asked if she could contact the owner it was a refusal. Go to another school who would gladly take your business.

The curriculum here does not hold your hand through every single step of the way, but rather allows us to make decisions and take action into our own hands. Often times, school systems will punish us for our independence and we never develop autonomy. Because of this, we are lead into an endless cycle of mimicking and reacting to situations in order to please most and avoid judgement. CSA has enabled my ability to become an autonomous, self-sufficient professional. My experience taught me how to live for myself rather than blaming the externalities the world has, and will continue to throw my way. This mindset is what I believe to be ideal to take into the beauty industry in order to prosper. Thank you CSA

I was a student here several years ago. I toured the school with my uncle (whose also a licensed cosmetologist) and everything seemed wonderful. I signed up and started and liked my teachers, but within the first few months of being there the lady I enrolled with was fired. When I enrolled I received a pell grant and throughout the time I was there I had to keep fighting with Ned’s wife (whose the financial lady) that, that money goes to me. Not them. She kept on trying to tell me that the money I was granted was strictly towards my student loans. I had to argue with her that I knew about the loan before I enrolled and I signed it stating I wanted it for personal use since I was a single mom and had a 1 year old who had to be put in the kinder care across the street while I was in class. The entire time I was there other students were having problems with them about money as well. I was presueaded by a teacher to go for the student ambassador program within the first few months of being there. I used my “free service” perks to help an esthetician with their sign offs because they were older and weren’t comfortable to ask to wax someone so I volunteered and was complained about by another student who was a grown adult woman because she felt she should’ve been an ambassador. I’ve grown up with an aunt and uncle who are cosmetologist and have loved doing hair since for ever. I was able to get my sign off sheets done and completed all my work ahead of scheduled yet got demoted because this woman’s feelings were hurt that I would get free facials and waxes and she didn’t think that was fair. There’s just a lot of drama between other students and the annoyance of being hassled for more money.

I am finishing up my education at CSA and I have nothing but positive things to say. I love my teacher! Miss Dita in esthetics is fantastic. I feel ready to tackle the world and I cant wait to use the skills I have obtained at CSA.The cosmetology teachers have also been great, the management staff has been helpful and easy to work with.If you are looking to start your education at a great school, learn how to do things properly and professionally, and get hands-on experience ...this is the place to go.

This place is straight garbage. All their teachers are so horrible at teaching they got their licenses from the back of a cereal box. And theres countless reports of students with learning disabilities getting abused by teachers.

Great services and great students and wonderful staff that oversees and make sure that you get exactly what you want when you want it and for the price well what a bargain it is thank you to all of the students and staff

I am a successful GRADUATE and FREQUENT CLIENT here at CSI...If not for Ned and his staff at the time of my graduation...A LOT of years have passed since then...!...Do you sincerely think if Ned was that awful...he would still be in business sucessfully i will add!!! His awesome teaching methods prepare you for every angle of the business!!! POST GRADUATION...I have been running my OWN salon (sucessfully!!! If I may say so) if not for CSI and there teaching methods...who knows today??? If youre so unhappy transfer out sweerheart!!! Chances are...feelings are more than mutual!!! UNPROFESSIONAL, STEALING SCHOOL!!!Most of these good reviews you read anywhere online are coming straight from the TEACHERS at the school. When you graduate you can become a teacher there.. There is a 19 year old teacher there.. also only two teachers there with actual salon experience. I just quit and they ruined everything i loved about hair for me. They dont care about your education.. just the money; its so transparent. The owner Ned and his wife (also the financial lady) Genta hides from everyone because there are so many lawsuits against them; he doesnt wanna deal with anyone at all. No one has EVER gone on a trip to New York or LA. The tablets that you are supposed to receive are absolute junk no brand name tablets that you can find online for less than $50 bucks. The kits are valued no where near $2,600 like they claim. I was forced to clean bathrooms, toilets, refrigerators, and the building always smells like dirty sewer water because they are to cheap to fix the plumbing in the building. Half the time we sit around and are not even being taught anything and i cant believe i paid this kind of money to go here. We were teacher-less for more than 4 hours recently so we all googled reviews and laughed at the bad reviews cause of how true they are and the OBVIOUSNESS that the good reviews are written by the teachers themselves. Do not be fooled! All the girls i talked to are paying a DIFFERENT amount for tuition before grants and loans; some are even being charged for room and board? CSI doesnt even have the accommodation for that... When i toured the school they made all these promises that turned out to be all false. Now im fighting to get the correct amount of tuition back. Save yourself the time and trouble and dont even think twice about visiting.
