I have difficulty in getting back the pre-paid money, due to the pandemic closure starting in Mar 2020. I have made phone calls, and even visited their office trying to get refund check.Every time when I called or visited for a refund, Hongyun would reply: no problem, we would send you a check in 2-3 weeks. Only that after 3 weeks, I did not see a check. When I called again, the clock was reset, and I was asked to wait for another 2-3 weeks. This is a ongoing pattern and it is now mid of August. In July, I managed to speak to owner. She said sorry to me and told me about the refund amount ($1357). She sounded sincere on the phone, which only turned out to be disappointing. I still do not get the refund at the of writing.I don’t know what to do. I’ve made many phone call requests, I’ve visited the office in person. I’m embarrassed to make more calls or more visits.Owner of Hongyun, if you see review, please respond.I will keep updating the status

Ive tried numerous art classes in the Bay Area, and none of them have matched up to this place at all. HYA is the one place that provides local and international opportunities to use the creative, social, and academic art skills taught in the school. The project curriculum is well thought out and the teachers advice is based on your personal goals and style. The staff members are so supportive and approachable, they become friends as much as they are teachers. Classes are of a reasonable price and the system is run well.Hongyun Arts goal is not only to improve the artistic ability of their students but to encourage leadership and application of these techniques in the real world. For instance, I attended one of HYAs programs sending students to Myanmar in order to introduce new project-based ways of learning there; it was by far the most rewarding experience of my life. They also have connections with the City of Cupertino, giving students the chance to paint utility boxes and inspiring earth-friendly messages. Other highlights include a booth at Maker Faire, published comic books created completely by students, and countless others. Most of the reviews posted are brief or with lack of experience. I promise that Hongyun Art is completely worth it.

This school sucks. I would give ti a zero star, but I have to give at least 1 so I did 1 star.
