Great school, attended for 8 years.

Went here in the 80s - they are really good at teaching little kids how to read. My only gripe was with the way they paddled kids for misbehaving. Spanking is too old school for me; I would think that trained educators could discipline children through incentives - I have found the threat of Minecraft withdrawal to be safe and effective. My wife is Russian Orthodox so I dont think I would send our son here, but I still want to get my hands on a reading practice book.

I attended this school for all 8 years, and its a great school. The teachers care, and the curriculum is excellent. My neighbors also send their child here, and they love it. Dont be fooled by the fake reviews of people who never even set foot here. Theyre basing their emotional opinion on a factually inaccurate local newspaper hit-piece. The school cares about the kids and their families. Being a graduate of CHCS is like being in a family... the teachers remember their students decades later. Its fun to go back and visit.

Love this school. So thankful for the teachers and administration who loves our children. Teaching Biblical Worldview, my child was ready to middle school and high school because of CHCS. Thankful for what was taught not only in the classroom, but lived-out by teachers, staff and administration

I read the article and discrimination is against the LAW. May this mother sue him for harassment, pain and suffering, mental anguish, and emotional distress just to name a few. Oh yeah, his harassment was hostile so check him for that too. Acting like a devil. He is evil and I believe he hit on the mother and was rejected and the bus incident put the nail in the coffin.War on Poor Black Single Mothers/parents.He needs to be removed from his position. Who is on the board of directors?Dont file a complaint or grievance. Just get a good hungry attorney

This Easter weekend reflect on what it truly means to be Christian. I could never be the person to throw the first stone or one at all because we are taught forgiveness, compassion and understandment. Kicking someone out 30 days before school ends because of their mother’s actions seems wrong and something underlying is definitely the root cause. This wasn’t because of their mothers actions something else contributed. Not Christian.

I also went here twenty years ago, and I can say with certainty that the other poster is completely untruthful. This is a very diverse school that is welcoming and loving to everyone. I had an excellent education here, and eventually earned six degrees and am now working on a PhD. A+

Notice all the bad reviews were all written at the same time, probably by people who never heard of this school. This was due to an ABJ hit piece, based on one students experience. I went here from Pre-K through 6th grade, and can say from my experience that this is a wonderful and inclusive school. Glad I have the foundation it gave me.

The decision to expel those two beautiful little girls is absolutely cruel and hateful. Have all the parents and faculty been screened for divorce, adultery, greed, etc.? Am I to assume that none of the children that are allowed to attend the school are part of blended families, broken families, etc,? Should the children be the bearers of the parents lives and choices? Wow. As a person of a different faith, this action by this school reinforces my belief that many Christians enjoy waving a Bible around for others to see while not living according to Jesuss teachings of love and acceptance. The Chapel Hill website touts ministering and bringing others into the faith; the actual actions of Chapel Hill just validates pushing Christianity and its hypocrisies away from all good people with kind souls. So, if your schools mission is to shy folks away from Jesus, you have achieved your goals with this senseless act of judgement and hatefulness.Maybe Chapel Hill should pick up a Bible and see what it says about holding children to the guilt of their parents?Deuteronomy 24:16 “Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin.

I went there over 20 years ago, it is equal to any other public school. In fact it is extremely discriminatory against those who have other religious beliefs, including those inside Christianity. If you dont conform you will be punished. They have a very weak special education system and your children will be placed there as punishment for not conforming, being left-handed or simply not white. I would implore parents to send their kids to a public school instead and save their money for college.

Jesus believes in acceptance & love! Pastor John Wilson is not behaving like a true Christian! Romans 14: 10-14, “10 You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister ? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. 11 It is written: “ ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’ ” 12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. 13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.” You are not God, therefore should not pass Judgement! Let her repent and answer for her own sins without corrupting your own moral compass. Her children were innocent victims in your judgement & hate. Be a true Christian and let Summara and Summaia return to school!
