Mrs. Chandler is the Best! The AM instructors are very professional as well.. Mrs.. Chandler ensures customer satisfaction. Even realizing this is a school, they all ensure students are providing accurate service. Ive experienced Mrs.. Chandler with multiple Check-ins and ongoing instrucion with students to ensure quality outcomes. They do hands on assistance and that mashed me feel confident in the service. My hair was in the worst condition it had ever been in when I walked into Ogle. I had no idea what to expect as it was my first time going there due to a referral. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised thanks to KD the stylist. KD was so patient with my hair because it needed a lot of work done. She is a very good communicator and I could tell that she truly loves what she does. Great experience overall. Loved the shampoo and conditioner products as well!

I am counting down the days until I graduate from the esthetician program! DO NOT GO HERE instructors are very rude and messy and I have personally witnessed students be bullied by the instructor Shelia. You will be sent home if you are 2 minutes late and then they expect you to bring clients to a overbooked spa that has machines that does not work and your clients are not respected unless you are a favorite. Salon manager Chandler is so rude no respect and does not speak proper English you will be treated like a child instead of a adult. You have no privacy your business will be spread. The most knowledge I have gained is from YouTube videos. All they want to do is collect your money students do not have room to study instructor wants you to stay busy even though all the beds are full and if you are not busy you will be sent home! I cannot wait to graduate this has been a horrible experience! They only thing positive I have taken from this is to make sure when I do become successful is to come back and show all the instructors what success looks like and to prove they not stopping NOTHING! Instructors do not motivate you all they do is gossip and send you home even though you invest 14,000 into the school! Please choose another beauty school to attend I do not see Ogle being in business much longer!

My instructor Sheila Hardin. I know she is tough but once you get the hang of things it goes smooth. After reading some of the reviews I don’t see what they are talking about. I myself have been sent home but. It was my fault. I don’t understand why if you have an issue talk to ur teacher. I have talked to my instructor more then once and she never not gave me the time to sit and chat. And go over things. I really do enjoy my class and my classmates.

The service here at Ogle School is awesome. Second time doing my hair here with Vanessa Vallejo, she always does an amazing job! She took very good care of me and did it very professional always asking questions and giving me tips on how I can keep my hair healthy! Great hospitality. I definitely recommend getting any beauty services here. You wont be disappointed!

Evelyn and Ms Cunningham did an excellent job on my relaxer retouch. Would highly recommend booking appointment with Evelyn.The schools pricing chart is inadequate or flat out wrong. Flat ironing IS NOT included in the chemical retouch and is considered a specialty add on and an additional $13. I will not be requesting a flat iron the next time. The brochure and website reads as if the flat iron is included, which it should be, but according to manager its not included it is an additional service sounds more like a nickel and dime service.Overall very satisfied with the service received and will return just wont get any add ons.

I went there Saturday July 28th, and I went in for a bleach and tone. I am currently in the process of going gray.I was there was for a bleach and tone, and instead of TONING my hair, she dyed it purple! Not only did she apply purple dye, I sat under one of those dryers to really penetrate my hair. When wet, my hair looked gray, really gray! I opted to not style because I don’t like applying heating styles after a bleach session, so no styling was done, I left with wet hair, and we did not even dry a sample to see the color, so I didn’t realize until I was home and my hair was drying, that my hair was LAVENDER!!!!! I had to go to work that following Monday as I have a regular 9-5, I washed and washed my hair. It was awful. I don’t know why she thought DYING my hair would be a good idea, but I hate this place now. I cannot this them at all.And just for reference I KNOW you cannot go from black(my starting hair) to gray. That’s not possible. This was my second bleach session, as I had come in 2 weeks prior, so I should have about one more session of bleach and tone to go gray. I’m not coming here for my last session because they messed up my hair so monumentally. I’m not stuck with awful blonde hair and o have to find a good salon to finish up what they started. Ugh don’t go here for any bleaching and TONING, they obviously don’t know what a tone is

About 2 months ago I came in for an all over black SEMI-perm hair color. Student unkempt. Left sitting in salon with formula dripping all over skin and had to ask for assistance. I don’t use blow dryers or curling irons so my hair is very healthy, until recently it’s extremely damaged and stringy. I also have grown out an inch of roots, obviously the color was not a semi-perm or else the color would have faded into my natural color after 8 weeks. My hair is down to my waist, so will have to grow it all out to get the permanent black out.

This college is the only school that actually does my hair right & beautiful... I love that all of the students are sweet, & caring while your getting your service.. Great job Ms. Green! 🤩🤩

I do not think this is the school to go to if you would like to be an esthetician. I’ve gotten very little knowledge and I feel as to this school just cares about the money and tuition. our equipment is complete trash and most machines in the spa do not work, makeup kit is not updated yet it’s almost 2k for the kit that I wouldn’t have chose out myself. It’s truly a disappointment and I feel such a negative vibe at this school. I am not only overwhelmed but I have zero enthusiasm after being here.

Took my mom To get an all over color. The girl who did her hair was nice and made sure She got the color She wanted. My mom liked that her Grey hairs no longer visible. Her overall experience was good. Plus got products for a great deal!

I went into The Beauty School for a color and cut. I had been there a few hours and began to get fustrated. The teacher Ms. T assisted 2 of her students with my hair until I was satisfied. Kim especially took her time to make sure my hair was CUTE CUTE!!! They were patient and fun. After 3-4 hours, I loved my hair and the color. The students had such kind spirits and the teacher was knowledgable and right behind them ready to help. I will be going back soon!. Thank you ladies!

This was my first time going here. I had a great experience. The staff was friendly. While getting my hair washed the young lady explained what products she was using and their benefits. I got my hair braided by Sakietra. She did a wonderful job! I have been getting compliments all day since I left the shop. I will definitely return.

I dint go to school here but was trying to everything was going great until I missed one question made me feel like I shouldnt never tried in the first place to go here really disappointing especially since I rode the bus for a hour and 53 mins wont do it again

******DONT GO HERE FOR EDUCATION****** I was going to pay 14 grand for a instructor that never taught us anything. I was enrolled in the esthetic course. First week was terrible. Mrs. Lucy (phase 1 instructor) never showed up on time, was absent a couple days in the first week to where we had to teach ourselves. The breaking point for me was when we did our first mock state board test. Mrs. Lucy NEVER taught us the steps, what were suppose to do when we empty our bowls in the dispensary . My classmates including me, all got below a passing grade, then she proceeded to get angry with US. excuse me, Im paying for her to teach me. Not to teach myself. Most of the girls in my class left to do better things as well. All the girls that graduated in my class also say it was the worst experience ever

My service today with Tasha Davis was amazing! She took great care in asking me questions about my hair prior to the start of service. She about what I liked and disliked about my hair. I left feeling so pretty today! Cant wait to book with her next Tuesday for a repeat style!

I have been here several times and I will recommend this place. On average they did a great job with my hair color. The prices are more than reasonable. Only down side is, you spent a little bit more time than an average hair salon but I think the prices compensates for this.

She was very professional, very knowledgeable, efficient and explained findings related to my skin evaluation and reason for using certain products. I love this place and the prices are amazing! Yes, we must keep in mind it is a SCHOOL but after almost a year of coming here, I am convinced that the students are not taught how to care for natural, or as the instructors say “ethnic” hair.The black girls, the natural girls, none of them know how to properly care for natural hair. I have had one person not almost rip my hair out and I actually have fine and cooperative natural, if you know what you’re doing.I have communicated my issues each time I return and try to be patient but it’s usually the same situation. My hair was blow dried with no leave in conditioner or heat protectant and I am leaving at 1:57 PM and got here at 10:52 AM. Simple things like blowdrying the entire head together wasn’t done, to ensure the entire head was dry. Time and moisture are VERY VITAL things to pay attention to with natural hair and this is never the case.And one thing I think Ogle needs to change is the leaving procedure, the stylist shouldn’t stay up there while the cashier asks “how was your service”. It’s hard to communicate your true review and constructive feedback with the cashier and/or instructor when the student is standing there.I definitely recommend their facial, any day.

My experience was absolutely amazing. I called salon to see if I could get a fix/redo for a hairdo disaster. After talking with one of the instructors, I decided to go. Everyone was on board with options for what to do to fix my updo. Thank you very much instructors and students.

I am a former student .... ATTENTION ALL . DO NOT GO HERE .SAVE YOUR TIME AND SAVE YOUR MONEY . this school is horrible and they will waist your time and your life . they dont care about you at all your just a number they pick favorites and if your not one you will figure it out really quickly .& they dont care about anything but the money and they will toss you out for anything you do . they have awesome admissions reps and the only cool and great teacher is Ms small shes the phase 1 instructor . it gets worse after phase 1 . esthetics is a different story but the cosmetology program is a nightmare . the instructors the only good one is Mr.Hector the rest of them are rude and disrespectful . they dont even follow half the rules they give out. they could care less if you have a life outside of school . they literally also cut no slack its like if you are not making them money they dont care about you you stand on your feet all day if you sit down for a couple of minutes you get written up . they will find any reason to write you up dont be fooled one day they will smile in your face and the next they will be ready to send you home .so FAKE . this school will make you have a mental breakdown its other great schools . dont be fooled . I just got accepted into a great one keep looking . please I cant stress it enough . dont go to this school . you could also ask students that go here everyone hates it . they will tell you that they are just pushing it and trying to get the degree but they hate it . but to be treated like your nothing is the worst felling ever . they tell you to leave your issues at the door but are not even willing to be there for you . I will say it again Dont Go HERE . its like a prison hair school you get treated like a kindergartner pretty much .

OK so I want to the oval beauty school a couple days ago and I got my hair done by Neko she was very polite she is very nice my hair is amazing I love it if you go to the oval Vito‘s beauty school they’re pretty good they’re definitely very good at what they do so some of the comments on here you have to ignore them because you have to go in in person and see how nice they are and my hair is amazing

Marquitta was very polite and courteous. I enjoyed my hair being cut by her. She trimmed my ends and made sure to ask how much wanted to me cut and also had me check my cut once she was finished. I would recommend Ogle at Mockingbird to others

The salon manger is a very rude person. I came in , she was in her office at the time.They gave me permission to go to my destination, she came out speaking to the students loud enough for me to hear it making rude comments about me. She has the intelligent of a goat and need to learn customer service one on one. Over all every one else was kind.

My daughter was supposed to start school here yesterday. On her way she was involved in an accident that was minor but the other party called the police so she had to wait for the police to come. My daughter immediately called to let them know she was involved in an accident and would be late. The response was you can no longer come to the school because you missed the first day. I guess she was supposed to leave the scene of an accident to show up at school. When my daughter called they said how do you plan on coming to school? Her response was we have 3 cars I can get to school I just couldnt be on time yesterday because I had to wait on the police. I think this is ridiculous that they will not let her start school. They expected her to commit a felony and leave the scene of an accident to show up at school on time. Hopefully someone will read this and be able to help if not I will be contacting a lawyer.

I hate I chose to come to this campus it has been the worst experience! The school runs off of he say she say and the esthetician teacher is very sensitive and has favorites. I have been called into the office about petty things and its very annoying because we are grown. I was sent all the way home because the instructor lied and said she told me 3 times to sit up I have never gotten into a argument with her yet Ive been hearing rumors from everyone except her that we have. Today she sent me home after I went through the most to be on time for school today ! Do not go here for esthetician!!!! The school is very messy and sad to say it be the instructor.

Got my first highlights done today. I was scared to have blonde but it turned out great! i loved it and Ill probably be following the girl that did my hair after the graduates, her name is Bianca. She was amazing!

The students are always confident and competent. They always are not afraid to make suggestions that turn out great. Ive never been disappointed in over 15 years.

This past Saturday, I came with my daughter and 5 year grand-daughter for their hair appointments at the school. It is very apparent that the majority of clients are black but there isnt any instruction given in the care of black hair. My beautiful little grand was tortured by the Oriental student doing her hair. The student did not comb out the hair before proceeding to blow-dry. She started from the scalp instead of the end. Pulling and tugging but worse yet, she purposely held the hair up and put the hot heat directly on my grandbabys tender scalp. She giggled the entire time while the child screamed and I protested. She insisted that she was not hurting her. One of the managers heard me tell her that you cannot use brushes with knobs on the ends on black hair. The manager asked her where was the white brush that was given to her that didnt have the knobs. The student acted like she didnt speak English but she really speaks perfect English. The manager had to borrow a white brush from another student. She used the white brush only when the manager was out of the office and would pick up the dark brush again until I loudly complained and the manager would step out of her office. She kept sneaking and using the wrong brush. Then I complained that she was lifting the hair. Another lady came over and showed her how to lay down the hair to blow dry the hair correctly. She continued doing it wrong. My grand stopped crying when the other lady worked on her hair but started again when the Oriental student worked on her hair. My grand told me that she was very scared! That hateful student smirked and giggled the entire time. The 2nd lady finished the blowout. My daughter had gone out after her cosmetic treatment to get a snack. When she returned, she sat with my grandbaby to finish the flat ironing. I was so upset, I had to take a long walk just to calm down! I would like to suggest that since most of your clients are black, extensive study should be given on the treatment of our hair which is just kinky but very fragile. My grand-daughters hair has been severely damaged and now feels very brittle. But worse yet is the lifetime emotional damage done to her. Ethnic hair courses should be implimented immediately!

Sterling was my stylist. She was very friendly and did a great job on my hair color. Carrie, her instructor, answered all of my questions that i had. Thank you so much ogle. Im definitely coming back!

It’s not good school to go to they don’t care about your education they are rude they don’t care about anyone and they don’t know how to handle customers service because they treat my clients with disrespect. I gave a one star only so i could leave a reveiw please read this before attending the school. This school is the worst place i have ever walked into. I signed up for the cosmetology program to get my license, i was under the impression that this school was a great place to learn and that they accept all students. However this is not the case. I have a serious anxiety disorder, three days at ogle was enough for me. In case you dont know the school was sold to a company and since then has gone down hill. Having personally known the owner and founder and telling him my experiance he was incredibly disapointed. The first day they begin with putting as much pressure as they can. I was in the office everyday during my time there and was expected to let people know exactly what is going on with my life. My third day i had a panic attack and went into the office to explain my anxiety and also express my concern about the reveiws from students. I got an atitude from one of the administrative staff in particular. One that has been nice to me until i said i had seen the reveiw. After being victimized Brenda the staff member very rudely said, thats okay you can leave because im withdrawing you I began to leave the building when she made it known she was kicking me out and critisized me for wanting to find another option. The same night i got a text from Ray asking me to change my schedual to nights to make it easier on me as in they want the money. Im so unbeleivably dissapointed and do not think they should be a school. As most of you has seen the school responds to reveiws to try to make themselves seem friendly. However they only want to talk to you to ask to take the reveiw down. I will make a video on youtube explaining more of my situation. This school tore my confidence away and threw it in the trash. You mean nothing to this school trust me

Ive been coming to Ogles school for 5 years now. Its great - so much less expensive and because the instructors are always available, you can be sure it will be done right. Also, since there is not much of a profit motivation, the girls really take their time with you. Ive had many cuts, highlights, lowlights, and combinations of all of them and been happy with it all.

I had my hair cut and colored and it is just beautiful! I love coming here and the prices are the best in town! I would recommend the Ogle School to all!

Called to get simple information on esthetician programs and both reps were very rude, nonchalant and I had to probe for more information. Based on this I wouldn’t go makes me think the staff is like this as well

Ive been to this place 4 times. The worst thing I did was get all over highlights. I had two students highlight my hair. One bleached horizontally and the other vertically! It was so embarrassing. Teachers should really pay attention before the students start and just go over the whole thing . I was there from open to close too. They tried to bring me back to fix it but I really dreaded the whole wait and experience too. Just went with someone else.

ATTENTION I repeat Don’t go to this campus . And To the rude comment below I have never had a behavior issue and as a mother that is very disrespectful to say . My instructors loved me and so did all my clients that always chose to re-book with me all the time and also the people in the schoo loved me . You don’t know what happened to me that day or the day before & just because someone breaks down and starts crying doesn’t mean that I have a behavioral issue . Life hit me hard and I wouldn’t expect you guys to care anyway . You guys didn’t try to check up on me or didn’t care off the fact that multiple over multiple people at the school reached out to me and made sure I was okay means a lot unlike the teachers or administrators and that day I rode all the way From Forney to hiland park with a flat tire and raining and flooding and still try to make it to school and I was outside of the door I wasn’t clocked in or anything so how is that a behavior issues I have 400 and something hours with twins and got up everyday to make a future for myself and you guys don’t care about anyone but yourself so anything you say about me are Lies and I will make it a law suite For defamation of character . I have a right to have an opinion about this school and people will quickly find out that ogle is a joke and you pick favorites and y’all are very rude all the hard work that EVERY student does y’all don’t appreciate and treat people like We are dogs and I am very happy at my new Campus . Although majority of the teachers and staff at this location are pretty good I would highly recommend NOT attending an Ogle school for your education. If you look all the good reviews are from clients regarding the good work of students. All the bad reviews are from previous students. I was a previous student and ran into A LOT of problems with admissions and the financial aid department. They could never fully explain anything to me after I started attending which is a huge problem when you are taking out a large loan. Everything was peaches and cream when I signed my contract then months into my schooling everything came crumbeling down. There was a HUGE lack of communication which resulted in me stopping school. The previous director of this location was very shady (I heard he ended up being fired months later). When I called and spoke with some of the higher ups they were not interested in my complaints or problems. I was completely treated like a number. Im sure someone will reply to my post apologizing for the experience but it clearly didnt matter to them when I attended, made the complaints, or made over 15 phone calls to find a resolution. One of the teachers was very bad at teaching and I learned literally nothing in phase 2. Month after month I gave them honest reviews of the teachers and nothing improved. Im still playing off over $7000 for an education I did not fully learn while attending or get to finish, which I still believe is an incorrect amount. When I asked for a full print out of all my attendance dates and times they would not provide it. They would only send me my transcript showing the total number of hours I attended. Bottom line get your education from somewhere else.

Terrible school to go to. They really put their energy and focus on disciplinary actions and making up new daily rules to keep students from enjoying school rather than teaching ! Lack of compassion for students and clients. Rude instructors that initiate altercations and suspends the students for defending themselves instead of handling the instructors accordingly. No consequences for unprofessional instructors, they stay on the clock no matter right or wrong. Instructors show favoritism when it comes to signing and grading P3 and letting students give or receive services on other students. They also love to turn students around if they are a few minutes late but the instructors show up 30 mins+ late in the morning having students wait outside pass 8:30am EVERYDAY opening the school and get to clock in lol. Just a very unprofessional and unorganized establishment. Phase 4 teacher at the time (before she quit) didn’t know how to prepare phase 4 students for written and practical exam she had to keep interrupting phase 3 teacher class to ask for help teaching. Ogle eventually got Ms.G to come teach what Phase 4 teacher should have known smh Ms.G was awesome and very knowledgeable. Students have to pay for colors & chemicals when wanting to practice techniques on mannequins, instructors encourages students to make mistakes on our clients hair rather than our mannequins smh those clients never come back to get the service corrected ..I don’t blame them . Basically if you want to feel like you’re in an elementary school prison this is the school for you. The instructors just come there to get a check and go home, no passion or interest in genuinely helping students excel. Please research other options.

If you are thinking about going to this school, Think again, they have the WORST education, they will tell you what you want to hear just to get your money, Admissions is a joke they hold you hostage in the office when you just want to tour the school asking you a thousand questions to make it seem as its up to them to ALLOW you into their school. When in reality as long as you have a blood pressure and the 100 application fee, you can sign up. Do your self a HUGE favor, LOOK around before you make up your mind, thats if you can get out of the door, because the admissions I mean sales people will not let you out the door with out trying to talk you into signing up! I was in the program for 2 weeks and left, it was that bad very unprofessional and I was treated as a child if you are late they will kick you out ony to allow you back if you may another 100!Look elsewhere! Do not be fooled.

Glowing Skin!Recieved two services this evening- a basic wash and condition and also a microdermabrasion. My services were wonderful. The shampoo and condition was absolutely fabulous I felt I received a little extra becuase I got such a great scalp massage. The microdermabrasion great as well- my skin feels so good and refreshed.

I took a month before I wrote this. I am a former student from Ogle and needed a clear calm mind to write this. Future students looking into schools think twice about this institution. I was part of the night cosmo program and after months of debating I left. The instructors all came in from a day job not in the mood to teach, tired, treating students like children having inappropriate conversations and just down right rude. I wasnt properly educated on haircutting or color, staff and instructors are extremely unprofessional and seem to be more interested in friendship rather than education. My last night I asked my instructor what we would be doing that evening and he told me ohhh just do whatever you want... I packed up and left. Im now at the AVEDA Institute and if you have a chance I highly suggest talking to admissions about starting off on the right foot. I observed guests who visit Ogle for services were treated poorly. As a student you dont get as much hands on experience with color mixing and applications. The facility is very unsanitary, poor atmosphere. They did not teach latest styles and trends it basically a school to learn the basics, kinda like a procuts school in better words. I was disappointed in the money and time I wasted here and after I left I learned that at one of the OGLE schools all the students went on strike, In fact one of my classmates and AVEDA was a student at ogle that went on strike. Since I have left 5 of my classmates from Ogle have dropped out. Please dont waste your time and if you get a chance go tour the school and see for yourself. PS AVEDA INSTITUTE has changed my life, they are an amazing facility that cares about education LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
