Curriculum, Classes, Professors in Southern Methodist University (SMU) - Cox are beyond my expectation. SMU Coxs curriculum is combination of Case Study, Experimental Learning and Lecture. SMU Cox is easily the best MBA program in the state (full-time, part-time, or otherwise). SMU and UT sometimes fight for the top spot in college rankings; but I believe UT’s relative position has much more to do with their size than academics. Professors at Cox all make themselves available after and before classes, there are several international exchange programs, and the extra networking opportunities that a SMU pedigree offers all but guarantees you job placement after graduation. While the football team is nothing to get excited about, rubbing elbows with ex-presidents at a Mustang’s basketball games is absolutely worth showing up for.

Excellent Schoool with great connections. My son also applied to Denver University which is similar Profile (size, education quality, $, and Graduate placement, campus feel). All things were not equal , we got a better package at DU and they have some assets that Tx does not. He is headed to DU and the mountains! Maybe also to get a little farther away from Austin! We would have been happy either school sometimes its the fit with the student, we support the decision!

Dr Mike Davis at the Cox School of business has made many racists remarks to my classmates and I. Im not sure how he got away with it but I believe because he is a tenured professor. Also, Dr Davis classes are not very practical in the real world and he makes up bunch of stories just to screw with your head.
