Some of the teachers are light of my life, fire of my loins - but not the one who has a strange obsession with romaine lettuce & a lack of understanding regarding basic door mechanics/function. That guy is the schitz. Also, when I initially saw the high school principal, my first thought was that Willem Dafoe had been in some terrible accident. And the rest is rust and stardust.

Harmony is the greatest education experience my child has ever had. Trust me, you will not regret sending your child here!

A great place to work. The smaller student body allows teachers to form relationships with students and help them throughout their time in the school. This has been valuable to me as an educator. Seeing students grow and mature has been a huge blessing in my life. The school offers many dual credit classes so students can graduate with half of the credits required for a bachelor’s degree if they take advantage of it.

I especially love Harmony Science Academy Dallas because of its growing academic success over the years and the teachers are dedicated for higher achievements. Every school has some problems, but if you look at the big picture, Harmony in Dallas aint so rotten as some people like to say. Its a safe place and there are good friends. Best of all the teachers are pretty great. Miss Liu in math, Mr B in Science, Mr Phillips in History and ALL the English teachers are the reason why this is a 5 star school. Dont eat the food, though.

Although Gianni Versace has been gone since 1997, I am his merkin and I still exist. I am currently a student at HSA Dallas. The school makes everyone sad pretty regularly. But some of the teachers are beyond AMAZING. I wont name names, because I dont wanna cause trouble, but the teachers who teach the language that Im writing in right now are GREAT! HSA Dallas has been my school for a long time. I will graduate in May. During my years here, Ive had a lot of ups & downs. I feel grateful for the chance to have so many outstanding teachers. There might have been some weak ones too, but they are always forgettable. The people who teach here could choose to go anywhere and do anything thing. But they decided to be here and take a lot of unnecessary abuse. They work hard and they care for the students. I had to give 4 stars though, instead of 5. The reason for this is because Henry sits next to me in class, and that aint fun.

You can see in this campus nice, hardworker, dedicated staff. The school gives a chance to all eligible students AP and Dual classes. You can earn your associates of science degree for your career plan. Just Join Harmony Science Academy and see the differences!

I love working here. This is my nineth year in Harmony and fourth in this campus. It has been such an amazing adventure. My children also student in Harmony. I am very happy with our staff and students.

I graduated from harmony in 2017. The school is kinda gross over all. But I give it 4 stars because of the 4 STARS who taught my ELA classes. Freshman year was Miss Mathews, who was alright but left to do some things. Sophomore year was Harris, the all-time undefeated GREATEST who changed my life for ever and all my classmates too [shout out to 10D]! Junior year was Mrs. Paul who was like a mom to me, only she was white, and I am not even close. Senior year was Mr King and he was not normal at all but in a good way. I am lucky I had a chance to have those teachers or I would have probably dropped out and got shot and my life would be trash today. Thanks to you all for ever!

Education is great, so are the counsellors, Mr.Kaya to be more specific. That man is brilliant. A man, whom with few words, gets the meaning through. If I were to compare him to food, hed be one tasty snack. Must he be the source of heat from the depths of the Earth? Most definitely.

Mr.Harris is one of the best teachers in this school. His teaching is very good and he makes everything clear and easy to understand. Plus he has a great personality and really knows how connect with the class.

Just like all the others have said, this school has a lot of problems. but it has some good things too, like its safe and the people (students and teachers) are mostly good. Miss June and Mr B from science, and Miss Paul and Mr Harris from English are amazing.

Good school, but not perfect. Food is still terrible that it forces you to bring your own lunch. Nice teachers, most of them teach very well. Also this school forces you to buy a jacket since the air conditioning is very bipolar. Burning hot when it is cold, freezing cold when it is hot outside. And since we live in the beautiful state of Texas, it is mostly hot. By the way buy a yearbook for $30. Its the only thing you should pay for in this school other than FTC.

This is my first year being an assistant principal here at HSA Dallas Middle School. I have felt very privileged to work with such a dedicated group of teachers and staff. Our students are an amazing group of kids who have welcomed me with open arms. I am proud to say I work at HSA Dallas!

I am the parent of current & past high school students, but prefer to post anonymously, to avoid embarrassing my children (teenagers are sensitive). I decided to write a review of Harmony, because when I talk about the school with parents of students who attend Harmony, and different schools, I notice a big difference. Although Harmony doesnt have the same funding to finance interesting/fun things for students (like art, music, drama, sports, and other normal high school experiences) they do make up for it in one important area. Safety/security is a major priority at this school. The location is ground zero for ghetto-gangster danger. There have been instances of bad characters trying to get away with some serious felony-level stuff there (just like any other school) - but the AP Ms. Redmond = Dean of Students is such a great leader, things are always handled professionally and promptly - to insure the kids well-being. I have heard so many stories from students, parents, and teachers that praise Ms. Redmond for always keeping things right for everyone. Personally, I dont understand how she does it. It seems like a job that would take 2 or 3 people to do right, but she makes it work. Long story short, HSA Dallas isnt perfect, but compared to other schools in the area, its the best choice we have. Mostly because of the great teachers who work hard, and the efforts of Ms Redmond. This is my Muchas Gracias from my family - to all of you!

Its a school, so of course most kids are gonna say they hate it. But its okay. Mr. Harris is the prototype of what a teacher should be, and they should send him to teach other teachers how to do it right. What a man!

At first this school wasnt so bad that was until last year. Last year there, were many altercations between students, and the last student altercation I was a bystander and was forcibly involved, but I wasnt in the fight I was a victim, my face was so horribly disfigured that everyone in the school from then one called me Pennywise, my complexion was already pale enough until those two students ruined it further. The schools response was just to suspend the two students even though I was disfigured, not taking into account my disfiguration. I know will be know as clown face, Red haired freak, or even Pennywise. Thank you Harmony for caring for my feelings.

Why should we allow our future generation to lack education? This school does a good job of teaching in the normal sense, but lacks in every other aspect.One of the aspects that it lacks is sports. This educational facility does not have any formal or official sports team of any kind, and whenever an attempt is made to create one, it is shut down. Additionally, the gymnasium is in poor conditions. As a gymnasium, it shouldve been designed to withstand impacts, but every time a ball hits the wall, the cracks on it just grow bigger and bigger. Finally, since the middle school building does not have their own gym, they invade the high school gym during the high school P.E classes. This is a problem for many reasons. The first one is that all sports played are mixed into middle schoolers and high schoolers. This creates and imbalance and a frustration to the high schoolers who should be enjoying their time playing a sport. Secondly, some middle schoolers do not know how to behave and have behavior that could irritate high schoolers, and if the high schoolers do not know how to control themselves, the result would not be good for anyone. Finally, it defeats the purpose of P.E. Most high schoolers sit out as a result of the large body of middle schoolers in the gym screaming and making inhuman sounds. This is not only a failure of equipment, but also a bad idea from the central administration.When I refer to central administration I refer to the people who are in charge of the decisions and the path this school takes. There have been some unprocessed decisions, there have been some incredibly astute ones, and there have been some infuriatingly stupid ones. There has been a constant shift in critical personal over 2015-2018. Some may argue that change is good. I disagree. When a school has different leaders, it creates a disturbance every time a new-hire takes office. As a result, the student body has to adjust to new rules and guidelines they must follow. As a result, the instructive body has to adjust to new curriculums and unrealistic expectations. As if this was not brash enough, there are the new guidelines for the oncoming school year. The library will be removed. Great. Another outrageous rule, that I doubt will be enforced, is that all student body wears the same jacket. Sold by Harmony. Sometimes I wonder if this is a communist nation or a School.There is light in the darkness, however. This school did a great job of informing students of college preparation and application. The counselors track down students to make sure that they have their college applications ready. They are more than willing to help. This is good. Changing from high school to college can be a scary experience. It’s relieving to have counselors who are at-the-ready to help those who are confused, lost, scared, or just flat-out lazy. For college preparation, this school is unmatched, I believe.More good news: the student body and most teacher staff is in good harmony. Most teachers are friendly and willing to lend a helping hand to the students who want it. There are some teachers who believe their position of authority gives them a power to rule over the students, but its a small percentage. The other percentage is easily-going with students, as long as the students are easy-going as well.Harmony Science Academy Dallas is not the best. It doesn’t have any sort of athletics. It doesn’t have any school spirit. It doesn’t have a good building or location. It doesn’t have many things it should have, but one thing is has is potential. A lot of it. This school could improve massively by Improving the central administration. Talk to the students. Listen to their ideas. If they don’t like a single jacket for everyone, don’t be prideful or greedy, just drop that idea-

My son went to this school and had a lot of behavior problems there and the school even called cps on saying I leave my child at home by himself which was a big lie thats why it didnt go no further than my son being questioned I transfered my son to a new school and he has not had 1 problem since starting and his daycare even said he seems happier when he gets picked up I feel like this school discriminated against my son and I am happy I removed him from that environment

This school is ok i like mostly all the teachers. my favorite teachers were Mis. Duong and Mr. Harris.The food is awful.Mr Touku me is very strict on PDA and he did not seem to like me very much.Mis. Redmen is very nice i really like her.There are not really many extra curricular activities.Bur tor the most part this its a really good school i like it but i may not be going back this year.I love all my friends there and i wanna wish them all good luck in their Sophomore year and to all the newcomers.

As a Harmony Science Academy-Dallas charter school graduate, I was challenged intellectually, motivated, and helped. I recently graduated Austin College with a bachelors degree in three fields. I do not think I could have accomplished this without the help of HSA. This school motivates students to go to college, help is always offered when needed, and the teachers truly care about the future of students. I need not to forget the welcoming spirit of the many teachers who invited me into their home, made dinner for my family and I, and taught me outside of school. This school opens doors for those who attend as long as you are willing to put in the effort and meet them half-way. I highly recommend this school to those who have a passion to learn. At HSA I had the opportunity to learn the Turkish language for four years by option, travel to Turkey twice, and enter a nation-wide science competition, I-Sweep. By 16, I conducted research at UT-Southwestern with an employee that works there. Thank you teachers who helped me. Thank you Mrs. Gunduz, Mrs. Curtis, Mrs. Zengin, Mr. Barnes, and Mr. Yesilyurt. I am now successful intellectually and it is all due to this great school. I highly recommend it.
