It’s a good school but was better when first opened. Slowly they have admitted children with behavioral problems. There was a campus policeman who would stand outside keep safety, now the policeman is inside always on the phone while at drop off parents can become impatient with each other and honk etc. They have expanded and added new classrooms which is great, but have a high teacher turn over. They need more extra curricular activities. i.e sports.

Enroll here IF your family predominantly speaks Spanish and doesn’t mind your child being held back for not knowing American Ebonics. You are poor or homeless and will qualify for free lunch and other government services; they love enrolling those that get them more grant money to waste on tablets and electronics for staff, it doesn’t go to school supplies that they beg for the entire year nor does it go to P.E. equipment that is always in short supply. You don’t care about the academic success of your child; the curriculum is substandard there is a very HIGH turnover rate for teachers, some grades have moved 3 teachers in ONE year and there are randos being allowed to substitute because they have no teachers, lunch monitors being promoted to subs and interim teaching positions and if you are already a teacher there feel free to have your bff come to school with you and they will find something for them to do as well (either in the office or classroom no matter their background they can work with kids and be around confidential info). The students aren’t learning anything but how to pass state testing so they can get more grant money of course, no programs for students beyond choir so basically keep them out of all LIFE schools until High School where they do invest in the student. You and your child are blind to privileged treatment determined by race; won’t elaborate here but if you live in America and are a minority you get it. You don’t mind sending your child somewhere where bullies thrive and there are weapons brought on campus (yes even in elementary school). You have a special needs child and care less about them than others will; there are two staff members (a couple we might as well refer to as the “Turpins” based on their behavior and lack of care) that will yell at your child, guide them around the campus like dogs by gripping the back of their necks, they are often heard talking negatively to the kids and about them to each other. You are in the business of paying for lunches that your child will never eat; as a form of punishment the staff will make your child go hungry, you won’t know because the meal was purchased on the student account but they will take the tray away and give it to the rent-a-cop to eat, another student, a staff member, or trash it so just pray that your child has a filling snack and is allowed to eat that at the end of the day. You believe training and a day off fixes everything; that’s how they get teachers to refocus when they have caused a liability or made a mistake despite the fact that every person with a degree in education doesn’t have the heart or passion to teach.

This school gives your kids grades and does not fully teach them the information. Idk if they expect kids to be mind readers but that is what i get from the 4th grade staff
