I love this school !!!!! The staff are very friendly and very helpful, even now that COVID has happened and things are chancing all around us it nice that our children still have a place to go that makes them feel loved. Ms. Tonya and Ms. Kenya and the staff do very thing they can so our children still have a sense of normalcy ion their lives. I JUST LOVE THIS PLACE !!!

I have had both of my kids at Handprints since they were babies. The staff truly fell in love with both of my babies and treat them as their own. If we’ve ever had a issue it was immediately resolved. We love it there and Ms. Tonya!

MONISE is a very wonderful person with my kids Ivy, Miguel, and Nevaeh... Miguel’s been with her and he loves her. She teaches him his ABC and how to count 1-20 and she does many other things with her class... If I had to recommend anyone to her class I would cause she is just caring, loving, and she treats the kids as if they were her kids...

My son has been attending this daycare since he was 6 weeks old. I visited many daycares before deciding on this one. To be completely honest, from the outside, it does not look like much but as soon as you walk in, you feel welcomed by both directors and the staff. My experience has only been with the infant class and the teachers in there (Ms. Crystal and Ms. Kalena). The classroom is very spacious, full of toys, bumbos, bouncers, swings, and exersaucers. His teachers are very good about communicating how his day went, if he was fussy / gassy/ happy/ etc. Yes, they will call you if they think your baby is not feeling good or sick(fever or diarrhea) but for me it has never been in harsh manner. As a mom, I do not want my son being at school ill and spreading the sickness to other babies, so I dont mind when I do get a call. My son is now 6 months old, he recognizes his teachers and greets them with a smile. When I pick him up, his diaper is always dry (never a rash), they follow my instructions on feedings (breastmilk and formula) and on prescribed medicines. The center also incorporates holiday pictures and activities the kids can participate in. Attached are pictures of my son at the center and some were sent by his teachers while I was at work. This center and his teachers are amazing and I can not thank them enough for taking very good care of my baby!I know this was lengthy, but I hope this helps any new moms looking for a daycare for their baby :)

I love this day care!!! The staff are so welcoming. You hear kids singing and and having fun frequently. Even while learning and doing their class work. My daughter just loves it. The food is great as well. They just treat you like your family. I love the vibe from there. They have many activities and field trips forThe kids as well during summers. Even for the day are side many fun activities for the children to learn and just experience... This year will be my daughters second year and each day she’s excited to go there. Thank you handprints academy!!! For the happiness you give my daughter and I. For giving me the peace knowing my daughter is in great hands !! Bless y’all.

My almost 2 year old daughter used to cry every morning at her old daycare, now she goes into class just fine. Everybody is very welcoming. The classes are big and kept well maintained. My daughter doesnt come home a mess ( which is expected because kids will be kids) . Her teachers give me updates when something is up or just different. They have a lot of rules in place for kids safety which helps for working moms that worry! Overall, the daycare is a great place to start your kids at while mommy or daddy attend to work or school etc.

This place is terrible. My son had just turned 2 when he started there. He cried EVERYDAY I dropped him off.Upon his FIRST day, he was bitten repeatedly on both arms and had a busted lip. When the teacher explained what happened, she looked and asked me Do you even care? Im guessing because I didnt act crazy, but theyre kids so I understood. The busted lip came from him tripping and hitting himself which was normal. Then he was bit again on a separate occasion. As time went on, I would pay a couple weeks upfront, did that like 3 times. EVERY TIME I payed upfront, my son would have a fever. Of course when kids have fevers, they arent allowed to go back for 2 days. 2 days that they arent going to pay you back for him not being able to attend. However, when I would pick him up they couldnt tell me what his fever was at or who even took it and when we got home, he didnt have a fever. So I payed for nothing! My last and final straw was when, he got into a physical altercation with another child. The other kid clawed my sons face leaving many scratch marks on his cheek. NO ONE called me to tell me of the incident. I did not know until I was there to pick him up. Teachers said that he was not the aggressor, he was the victim. The following day he had a huge scratch on the back of his neck. When I questioned teachers, they couldnt tell me where it came from. They said, he never cried, screamed, nothing. BUT WHERE WAS THE SUPERVISION?!I most definitely do not recommend this place to anyone

My son has been going to Handprints Academy for almost 3 years now and he loves it! I have never had any issue and the staff is very kind and welcoming. My son loves going back to be with his friends and has always felt welcomed by his teachers. They have helped with potty training and teaching my son how to write his letters which is what i will forever be grateful for. I will be very sad when it’s time for him to leave off to elementary!

You get what you pay for!I enrolled my son here when he was 8 months old and immediately, he started to have ear infections. I expected this would happen, but after seeing that the staff was letting him lay down while drinking his bottles, I could see why he was getting ear infections. The infant room is the 1st room in the facility - and the director(s) were never aware of what was going on in the room. The staff was inconsistent with giving me his daily reports. The staff requires no shoes allowed (by parents) visiting the infant room, but the staff wear shoes in the room. The director initially told us there were active cameras in the facility, that only their corporate offices could view. Come to find out, NONE of the cameras were working and their corporate office was refusing to purchase new cameras. It wasnt until I was threatening to relocate my son, that I found out that none of the cameras were working. Tanya, the director, is extremely unprofessional. She lied to us about the operating cameras, to get us in the door.I ultimately decided to remove my son from this location over a year ago and have been completely happy with this decision!

My daughter absolutely loves going to school here. As a first time mother, I feel comfortable and confident in the care that she is receiving. They have a nice large outdoor play area, and the classes have individual rooms (that are quite large also).

My child has been attending this day care for a few months now and my husband and I love it... Ive seen reviews on here that was not so good but we decided to give it a try anyway... Best choice ever.. The price is reasonable... I read a review where a parent stated that they call you to come and get your child if there is a problem... yes they do that and I love that.. my son was having a problem with a child biting him and these were very aggressive bites and on more than one occasion and they called me every time to let me know what was going on and how they were going to fix it... and there were times when my child was not doing so good and they called me about that also... LOVE IT!!! Alejandra, Starla, Rebecca, Jen, and whoever else had a bad experience Im so sorry this was not a good fit for you. Anyone else this is a good day care give them a try... They love the kids... They treat parents with Respect... And you will love it also!!!

My sister in law had a bad experience at this daycare. I still decided to give them a try. Avoid this daycare at all cost. When issues are presented no solutions are given except being cornered to withdraw your kid. As a working mom, I was having to leave work once or twice a week to pick up my baby. The days I wouldn’t get called, I was uneasy the whole day at work. Not a good feeling.

I enrolled my son and he only lasted 2 months before I took him out. He was never taken to the restroom. He would come home hungry. He came home bit on his arm and when we asked about it they said they didnt know. Class was full to maximum capacity. I dont reccomend this daycare at all!

Didnt have the best experience here for my youngest. My oldest went here when it was Hampton Road Day School and I was a great school. Its gone done hill since it was bought out. I cant express how disappointed I was with the staff - all I can say is they are glorified babysitters. I would come in and pick up my daughter and all the kids waiting to be picked up were crowed around an employees phone watching a video which is how they start there day. The food they serve is horrible, and lacked in nutrition. They ask you to fill out a public school lunch survey to see if you meet the requirements for them to receive federal funds for lunch. When I turned in our packet and said I made too much to fill it out, the owner looked a little peeved that I didnt qualify. Now, my kid is no angel - shes strong-willed and is easily distracted. They were not willing to work with her. Before we pulled her out, my daughter would want to play teacher which consisted of her screaming at us about how BAD we were and were were in trouble and to go sit in the chair. I mean screaming! Needless to say, such an awful experience. Never again. Now were at a great School and her new teacher knows exactly how to deal with my child shes firm but in a loving way and my daughter respond very well to it. She has her good days and her bad as usual but I know her new daycare will not allow anyone to yell and scream at the children.
