Great school , even better people from the front two receptionist Sarah and Anna . Scott did his thing and got me in and I couldn’t of been more happier . Me.David your first week is gonna tell you and teach you what you need to get the permit then the second week LT is gonna lay a lot of information on the table but everything he did and said to help us retain it worked for the next two weeks training in the trucks . He made me believe yeah I can graduate within the next two weeks and I didn’t feel skeptical about it from that point on . The 3rd week you’ll meet Charles and rollo they’re gonna correct you when you aren’t doing something right and show you everything you need to do to backup the correct way. My last week i had mr. top flight himself i think I owe him a huge thank you he had me driving and shifting gears my first day which I did not thing was possible but his teaching way is different . He’s not gonna sugar coat it and barely let you squeak by he wants to you be a good driver . He put us in what seemed like scary situations driving on the highway and through town but that’s real life driving what we are going to be doing . He didn’t give up on me or any of my fellow class mates that didn’t catch on right away and taught to the different ways we learned. Hell of a instructor .

Do not go this school. they just wast your time and get your money. The staff are so impilot,bad behaiver,special the teacher who teaches backing. He is so unrespectfull man. He thinks he teach you free. I quit after two weeks.

The fact is, in terms of a real-deal training environment, youd be hard pressed to find a better set up. From the facility to the instructors, this place is the best.Now, having finished, I look back on it all with great memories and I made some genuine friends in the process.The owner, Rod, is as good of a man as you will find anywhere - and the rest follows from there. Everyone that attended with my class was VERY pleased with their entire experience, start to finish.Sarah and Anna, who work on the admin side, are stellar professionals and are there for you when you need them.FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY.

Just got my cdl . It starts with .LT he is one of the teachers in class he will get you prepare for your pretrip and your airbreak inspection . Mr Kenneth will train. You own how to drive a stick shift , dont matter if you never have he will get you ready. Once you hit the range you will have Rolo. And Charles for all your backing technically. Rolo will show you every parking technique just bye talking to you. And showing you moves that you didnt think was possible . Then when its time. To drive you have Mr Calvin as one of the instructor . He have the most patience out of anyone and he will teach you the right way . And he will explain to you how to get better I had the best tyme at this school plus the new friends I made there

Marlon was really good, as he took out time to help me to get backing, offset, and parallel down packed. It was TRULY a pleasure to have met and been under his instructional experience. Thanks Marlon for assisting me with passing my driving test!! Youre the 💣💥

The school is very fast paced. Thats not to say that they rush you through, rather that they teach you everything you need to know and its up to you to apply it. Out on the range its up to you to get your reps in. No one is going to hold your hand or form a line, just get in one of the trucks and wait your turn.Now for the individuals.First person youll know is likely going to be Tay, shes the classroom instructor responsible for helping you to get your CLP. Tay is an excellent teacher and a very nice person in general. Out on the range you have the yard master Rolo, hes as nice a guy as you will ever meet. Even though hes soley responsible for teaching backing to the 20+ students at a time he has out there in the crazy weather we have in Texas, he treats every single student like theyre a close friend. Next you have your driving instructors, these are the guys Rolo gives you to after he thinks your backing is good. They are D-A, Calvin, Top Flight, and Marlon (whos also one of the CDL testers). D-A, Calvin, and Marlon are excellent, each with their own spin on things but all full of valuable information. STAY AWAY FROM TOP FLIGHT! He is plague on an otherwise nearly perfect institution. Hes lazy, hes more than once abandoned students and regularly forgets where you are on the course of a drive. Moving on we go to the head honcho, Rod. Rod is the owner of Continental Trucking and also the other CDL tester. Rod is a delightful person most of the time, but when hes testing stay out of his way. The only complaint I have about Rod is that he forgets that in addition to being a CDL tester, hes also a business owner and his students are his paying customers. For example, if you were to bring a problem to the head of say Wal-Mart, hes going to bow down and kiss your feet hoping to make it right, Rod is more likely to meet you with scorn and raised voice because hes in that tester Rod mode and cant see how he needs to react.Those few problems aside, this school is one Id recommend to one and all.

Well-organized, clean facilities and a great range. The staff is professional and friendly, from Sara at the front, to David, Ken, and Ray in the classrooms, to the boys on the range- Charles, Rolo, Dustin, Marlin, Preston and Calvin. The trucks are 10-speed manual so your CDL will not have an auto-only restriction. There were many students who in my opinion have no business trying to obtain a CDL or drive a truck, but if you are serious about earning your CDL and doing it with a very knowledgeable staff across the board, this is a solid bet. Great overall experience!

This place was fantastic! The instructors are great. The owner is a solid dude. Even the lovely ladies that work up front were great! I was able to get my permit and license on my first test. Listen to what they tell you and you cant go wrong. But what is really impressive is that they followed up with me a month after my graduation to see that I had achieved employment and offered leads to better opportunities. This place goes above and beyond!

Very good school! This course is pretty fast paced compared to other schools. They get you the required training in just 4 weeks Monday thru Friday. Seriously, be prepared for the fast pace. 2 weeks in classroom and 2 weeks in truck. They have manual transmission trucks so when you get your license you won’t have the automatic transmission restriction on your license. They do their own DOT testing there so you don’t have to wait weeks to take your test at the drivers license office. Also they set you up with companies who will hire you when you’re done with school. As for me, I had some recent felony convictions on my record (convictions within 2 years of age) so that limited me to only 2 companies who would hire me, TransAm or May Trucking. I went with May trucking. Thank you Continental for everything! You change my life. I have a great career now. I graduated in 2017 and I am still reaping the benefits of having a CDL!

I would like to give Huge Thank You to some of the most patient Trainers and Instructors at Continental Truck Driving School. They helped me achieve the goal of obtaining my CDL-A and for that I am truly thankful and grateful!! The program is fast paced so make sure you come prepared to learn and soak up everything as much as possible.-I would like to give a special shoutout to several people 1st my in class Instructor Ms. Ray for her patience, knowledge and kindness. She is no longer with the company but I learned so much from her, next up is Mr. Calvin one of my on range instructors he is the most chill, always smiling and patient person for what he has to do daily. If you attend this school make sure to jump in his truck you definitely won’t regret it, I would also like to shoutout the Instructors Jaz and Rolo for helping me with backing, they are the best at what they do and also do it with a smile and last but absolutely not least and Top Earner of patience with a smile, overall great attitude and an excellent Instructor/Examiner is Mr. Marlun King of Pretrip, and yes I call him by that full name everyday lol. I appreciate the patience he took with me bc I was nervous as heck and facially animated let him tell it!! Jazmin @ Continental is awesome💯%. She’s very down to earth but definitely know her $hit. If you pay attention & listen to what she say. You will get it. REMEMBER, every instructor trains different but it’s “YOU” that will make or break “YOU”. So, before blaming or pointing fingers for what your not getting. This is by far the greatest truck driving school anyone will ever attend. Rod love your leadership you have the best instructors in the dfw. Dustin is by far one of the best instructors you can come across hell have you prepared for your test. ROLO is by far the best skilled driver you can ever meet no one skills on driving and maneuvering can match his. JAZZ is the cool like a fan and Mrs. Ray is the sweetheart ❤ of the group she reminds me of a spiritual mother she cares for all her students.

Recent 2020 graduate student. First two weeks were classroom based. In class training was subpar at best. Classroom instructor was Charles. He was more concerned with discussing current events and allowing inappropriate classroom discussions (involving but not limited to black agenda and homophobia). Left the classroom with little to no knowledge about how to properly fill out a log book, HOS laws, etc.Backing range instructor was Jaz. Her methods and tricks for backing were helpful but it was almost impossible to get her to help you one on one. Watched many students struggle and other students have to step up and teach them. Very unprofessional discussion with students about non driving related things and trash talking other students that are struggling.Road instructor was Calvin, by far the nicest person encountered here. Professional and helpful to students struggling. I believe his talent as an instructor is wasted here.Receptionist was Sara and was beyond helpful and polite everyday. Always had a smile and encouraging words. Just like Calvin, I believe her talent is wasted here.

Mr. Calvin is the best.While attending this school there was something that I saw that was not right. But I had to realize they got something that I wanted. This was the best school I could have found. The staff is absolutely fantastic and amazing. The training is the best. If your really about learning how to drive these Big Rigs. Go to CTD. ***YOU NEED TO READ THIS***Ill tell you some good, but dont get me wrong, what you really need to know is in the last half of this review. Most of my experience was good. Carl and Ray are excellent classroom teachers. I felt very well prepared for the last of the process. The staff is very kind and helpful, and the instructors that I personally worked with were patient and helpful. However, I came here for one thing, my class A CDL. If you advertise 4 weeks online I expect you to have a system in place for me to be able to get my license in 4 weeks if I pass everything on my first try. I was on half days of work as well the whole time I was here going to school and I really dont appreciate being kept longer and losing more money. If youre on track to pass everything on your first try and you need to be gone in 4 weeks like they say online dont bother talking to the owner about your problem because one of my classmates needed to be back in TN with his license after 4 weeks and the owner made it seem like it was my classmates fault and steered the conversation a different direction. 2 more things...if you want to have your time wasted sitting at a shop because the owner uses a mechanic that only puts patches on problems, come to this school. Lastly, I just want to say nothing has infuriated me so much in my entire life than losing all this sleep for 5 weeks to get my cdl while still having to work at the same time and waking up to come and get so much of my time wasted because your trucks seemed to have problems left and right while I was there. The fact that you had either the audacity(if you knew your trucks were this bad)or the carelessness(if you just dont care enough to keep up with how your trucks are doing mechanically knowing how strict CMV laws are)to put students and your own employees behind the wheel of vehicles that shouldnt have been moving at all made me nearly lose it. So Rod, if you read this, understand that none of your employees are the reason for this one star and how upset I am at this experience, you are.

The Black Truck training teacher and one white man the are bad people I pay 1500 dollars and the keep talking tomuch bad things to me every day the do not like the African people I get my cdl some were for 4 days and it was easy not in the school the school not good

This school is legit! Jazz and calvin are amazing teachers. I did not feel intimidated by Rod the owner at all he is a straight and forward man. Its up to the students to learn the material. I left with the knowledge of knowing how to drive a 10 speed manual transmission and I also learned to drive a trailer.

I had Marlun as my instructor.. He was very patience with me. He was a great teacher. He gave me the tools to be successful from pre trip , in cab , air brakes, and driving. From the beginning, this school showed a commitment to working around my busy schedule. With that in mind, I had the comfort and confidence to go forward, and with the pacing of the education, found it easier than I thought to earn my CDL here. The staff and instructors are SO down to earth that it winds up feeling like family. Also, they don’t throw you to the wolves if you don’t pass in 4 weeks...you’ll get plenty of time to learn, practice AND PASS!!!😆 I also found it to be one the most affordable in the area as well🤑

I graduated Jan 2018 from this school.Especially to my female drivers beware be serious and be focused when you go out to the range.Make sure you know how to back...backing is more important than driving forward. It will be embarrassing to graduate and have a cdl and not know how to back...I agree with other post we spent way too much time at quick trips then driving. Take your career and driving seriously ask questions, and perfect backing I use 45 degree and 90 where I am at...I am speaking from experience take it for what it is worth.

If you are reading my review, this is the school for you. I just graduated August 9, 2019! My experience from the beginning to the end was awesome! Ray was my classroom instructor. He had me prepared in three days to take my test for my permit. Ray made learning fun! There was never a dull moment in his class. I took all of my test for my permit at one time and passed them all the first time. Thank you Ray. Mr Marlin was my trainer. He taught me how to drive and perfected my pre-trip inspection. Mr Marlin is an excellent instructor and is very passionate about what he do. Most importantly, hes a good person. Thanks for putting up with me Mr Marlin. Mr. Charles is another great instructor. Thank you for putting a seal on my confidence. I couldnt have done this without you. Miss Tae was my tester. She is very professional and has a great attitude. My biggest thanks goes to Mr Scott. Continental was exceptional from the very start. Scott my recruiter was as good as you could ask for and checked on me daily to make sure i was happy with how things were going. My classroom instructor Ray is one of the funniest and most knowledgeable instructors Ive ever had. Charles and marlon as driver instructors made the learning easy and i passed my road test on the first time thanks to them. Overall i highly recommend this school to anyone and will definitely miss the staff!

The folks their are nice. I just wish they could work around students work schedules, you dont get paid while youre training so either have a nice savings on deck or youre s.o.l. until you get out there and drive with a trainer but by then bills will be piled to the ceiling. .. other than that I love the friendly and honest atmosphere at Continental. Best CDL training program you could attend. Been sitting on my CLP for two years because I chose a horrible school the first time. Continental has a real class with real instructors that care about what your learning. Very structured in the classroom and on the range. If you follow their direction you will accomplish what you set out to do. Top notch instructors, awesome staff, people that honestly care. Would recommend this school to anyone and everyone. Previously I did embroidery commercially. I decided to get my CDL and called Continental. I have never been more please with a staff of people as much as I am with this company. The owner is ever present and involved on a daily basis. The classroom instructors provide you with a lot of information in a short period of time. They are eager to answer any questions (as I had PLENTY). The information given prepares you for your written exam as well as real life instances as the why this information is important and PRETRIP. When you get out to the driving range, your instructors there are so VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE that they can literally back you into a parking space verbally without you even looking. They are patient, full of knowledge and truly WANT to share their knowledge. The office personnel is super friendly and helpful with even the smallest of tasks. This place is so awesome that I Hope once I have acquired enough experience over the road that I can be considered to be employed here. Knowledge, expertise, understanding, patience, and professional!! That’s what I received her. Excellent school!

If i could give them 0 stars i would this school only cares about their crst students because they have a contract with that trucking company they have 8 to 10 students per truck for traning , i had to leave for an emergency after a week of attending the school and returned after few month to continue and now they are telling me i have to pay the down payment again and they stole my $1750 previously , the owner and the whole staff is just money hungry do not go to this school and waste your money. STAY AWAY from them.

I graduated from Continental September of 2018. I think it is a great school. Some individuals Id like to give a quick shout out to:Scott: great recruiter. Hell shoot you straight. Even after the school gets your money, hes very nice, asks how class is going. He genuinely appears to love his job. That is a wonderful thing to see in this world.Rod: I have read some reviews criticizing Rod. Look, people. Rod is a business man, not a baby sitter. While he certainly has a sense of humor, he doesnt have time for juvenile games. I saw a lot of students go through when I did (at least 25 or 30) and hes there to conduct business. If you read a bad review about him, it was probably written by some clowns who wanted to waste his time on silliness. When you go to Continental, man up (or woman up), show up, study and work. Play time is over. Driving a truck is a serious matter. Act like it. If you cant, keep your low wage job and keep crying about how those damn corporations and whoever and whatever else are keeping you down.Sarah: Dont let her mild demeanor sitting behind the desk when you enter fool you. She pretty much coordinates the entire operation. She has a mountain of paper work to deal with. Be nice.Ray: very good classroom instructor. Do what he says and you will pass. Its really that simple. He keeps things light but gets it all done.Calvin: nice, calm, knowledgeable road instruction.Mr. Marlon: very fair driving test examiner. Know your stuff when you go to take your road test. Remember, just because youre not going to DPS for your road test, doesnt mean you get any slack. Oh and our group did get to watch his pre-trip test. He knows his stuff.Rolo: WATCH AND LISTEN. He will teach you the parking maneuvers. Driving a truck is different. Calm down, listen to what he says and hell get you through it.If you are a woman thinking about trucking: DO IT. There were several women there when I went through- everything from 30-somethings to 50-somethings. I think its awesome stereotypes are being broken. And for the men reading this paragraph, Continental is not a dating service. Let the women study without you drooling over and pawing at them. Theyre just students. Everyone learn study and learn from each other.All in all, great school. Highly recommended.

Truly grateful for the selfless help I received from all instructors and staff during my journey of obtaining my CDL here. Outside of me having to study and learn, they made it as easy as possible by making it a one stop shop to not only get my CDL, but also receive job placement options. I loved going to this school. The instructors are the best. I am so glad I was able to work with Charles on my backing, as well as Marlin and Elric on my driving. They made my time at school so enjoyable.

Some things could be improved but overall its precise and does the job. Wish they would teach more techniques though like 90 degree backing or alley docking.

Thanks to this school I now have my class A cdl out of 4 students who tested today 4 passed! :) Jim was a great instructor and you will pass as long as you follow directions. anyone who says otherwise is just an ex student who couldnt follow directions.

No school is perfect & they all experience problems occasionally or go through a transition with the rapid changes in the industry. I did a lot of research picking this school some shorter, some cheaper & some more expensive. On a scale of 1-10 with no school being perfect and no school able to please everybody as there is always someone better somewhere I give this school a 9 being there is no 10 & you might find a 91/2 but for me this was the perfect fit. They went above and beyond to help & accomidate me with my disability under the American Disability act. Went to them through crst. Had to sign a pre contract for crst and a financial obligation through continental saying I would owe them monthly payments for school. Had a family emergency the day after taking my final test and could not go to crst orientation. After that settled down, I had to go through a different company. I called to get my medical report form and a copy of the financial obligation directly with them they had me sign (since they never gave me a copy after I signed it!). They are REFUSING to give me the documents needed to both pay them and get started with trucking. Luckily my recruiter is not concerned and said they will fight for me and handle it. But damn this company could make it easier if they wanted their money. So stupid.

I had Ray as my class instructor and Calvin as my driving instructor. They set me up for success, also the school in general is awesome, good layout.

I graduated January 2 2019. This is a great school. The instructors teach you what you need to know about driving a truck. Mr Ray and ms. Ray j teach from experience and there is no one id rather learn from in the classroom. When it was my turn to go to the range i learned backing from Charles and learned to drive on the road from Calvin. Without their instruction i would have had a much harder time getting my CDL. THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO GO FOR TRAINING!!!

There are so many CDL schools available it can be difficult to choose which to attend. With anything anyone can find things they dont like. The bottom line question is when someone graduates how are they at driving? I just graduated this past Wed. Yesterday I drove to Tulsa, OK with my company driver and back. A long day for certain, but the joy from the accomplishment was fabulous!! The classroom instructors are well experienced. Ray was mine. If you love the actor Robert Duval youll love Ray. LOL Hes on point in everything he teaches. And he teaches from a vast driving experience. The range instructor Rolo is spot on with teaching how to straight line back, offset and parallel park. My driving instructor was DA. Ive never driven a standard before and thought it would be difficult to learn. He was fantastic. Made it very easy. Very patient. Keeps things fun and low stress. Effectively communicates correction. Kick ass shipmate! Lol Thx DA. None of the instructors will steer you wrong. Listen and trust them. Especially when your gut tries to tell you to do a maneuver differently. STUDY HARD!!!! Read the CDL handbook often! Watch the YouTube videos they recommend often! DONT take any teaching from pretrip to driving for granted. Its a lot if info to absorb in 4 wks. But well worth. Dont go to schools that promise your CDL in less time. Thank you all at Continental. First of all I would recommend this school for getting your CDL I graduated August 2018 from Contential my classroom instructors were Ray and Tae They got me ready on simulator and pre trip inspections great classroom instructors comfortable environment they have lots of patience working with people until they get it Also my range instructors were rolo , Antwan who will get you right on backing period they will know how to sharpen up your skills within seconds of watching you thanks guys ! Also my driving instructor with countless students who became legends after training with him “DA super instructor extraordinar “ you want to be in this truck for driving period!!!!!!!!!!! It a long waiting list he will make sure your in cab inspection, air brakes, tug test, and things you lack are done daily !!!!! Thanks DA for everything Ssgt of the truck also another expert is mr marlon he knows it all and has videos also he is a examiner I am now driving and loving it !!! Also thanks to owners, Sarah at front desk for all her many jobs she do and my recruiter.

09/06/2018 got my CDL A No Restrictions Mr Ray Mr Da Anderson Mr Calvin Mr Rolo Mr Marlyn Mr Rod and The one and only Mrs Sara are a great team all you have to ddo is follow instructions pay attention in class and on the range and you will pass everytime no matter who is testing you.... I recommed this school and thank all the the men and women who make this possible I.E. i just passed my road test at OKC Terminal the safety team ask me who taught you? I would personally recommend this school to anyone,I didnt know the first thing about driving a Tractor Trailer.My road instructor was D.A. and this guy literally taught me how to drive,double clutch and down shift in 2 days of riding with him.Never seen a person so poised and calm,this dude is an awesome instructor.I highly recommend him as your road instructor if youre serious about learning and moving forward as Trucker.Marlon also is a great instructor,find these two guys once you hit the range and learn as much as you can from them.Rolo and Antwan taught me how to back a truck,from straight backing,offset backing and parallel parking.And once you attend you will see understand and know the importance of having great instructors.These guys have a lot to deal with on the range!Tay and Ray where my classroom instructors and theyre awesome,well prepared at giving you the curriculum.Overall I give the school a thumbs up,D.A.,Marlon,Rolo and Antwan I appreciate the experience passed on to me.Just a reminder, choose D.A. as your road instructor,and get with Marlon as much as possible.Hes an examiner now,but I promise you if you listen to these two you will obtain an Commerical Drivers License.

Theyve got some of the best instructors a truck school can ever get. Shout out to Ray. He funny as hell for his age. Well experienced gentleman. Of course Sara and Z are fine as hell but we here to learn sooooooo non of that. I passed all my written test in one take coz I studied for it. The only cons I have about this school is they need a bigger building with more restrooms and please inform these old truck drivers coming in to flush the toilets after number 1 or number 2... some of these truck drivers are sooo nasty... flush the damn toilet brah... anyway Ill recommend this school for any one. They also have 140000 dollar simulation machine that teaches you how to drive a tractor truck and if you can make all the way to level 8 on that thing, believe me you can drive any tractor out there. Peace.

**** PLZ READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO LOSE TIME AND MONEY!!!!****DO NOT BE FOOLED BY FAKE REVIEWS OF 5 STARS!!!The Absolute worst school i have ever been to!!! first of all they lie and say your going to get a lot of time in the truck and that is a lie!!! you waste two weeks in class learning nothing at all. they just put on pre-trip inspection videos from you tube and many other youtube videos.. if i wanted to learn from youtube i could have saved two weeks. if you only came to get your CDL DO NOT COME HERE! There are only 1 instructors per 15 -20 students especially during the portion where you learn how to back.. so there is no way the instructors can really help you if you need it.. unless your willing to stay an extra 2+ hours after till 730 pm even tho they tell you to be there at 7 am so yea 12 hours ! The owner whos name is ROD is an extremely confrontational person to deal with if you have any complaints or issues. He is really aggressive and trys to make you out to be the problem instead of trying to help his paying customers... also be aware that 90% of the students there are sent by a company called C.R.S.T, so they are not paying out of pocket, they sign a contract in exchange for free school and 10 months of very low paying work.. only about 10% of the students there are paying out of pocket(the schools calls it open enrollment)..so you get mixed in with a lot rough looking ppl (black,white, and Latin) who seem like they just got out of jail or never graduated high school.... out of a 10-12 hour day you will only be in the truck about 1-2 hours a day if your lucky!! the rest of the time you are just watching and waiting. i have no idea how this place got so many 5 star reviews, my guess is they must be fake! the 5 star reviews ive seen are really well written, but by judging how the people there talk and act there is no way in hell they were written by the students. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSE WHERE!!! unless you want to be ripped and pissed off!!! Especially if youve never driven a Semi b4!!! there is no structure or order to the way they conduct their training!!

Just got my cdl...i spent 4 weeks and on the fourth week i got my license all u need is to stay focused and pay atention what the instructor says, i realy made some good freinds here...all the instructor and staff is so freindly Ray, L, Terry, Scott and the director all are so nice and profesional, once u start u feel like a family..highly recomended.

This is a bunch of crap good instructors but the owner will try to push you to where he wants you to go or kick you out if you dont make sure you take pictures of all the forms you sign especially the contract he dont want you to have a copy of it because then you will have a chance to really read it. of it

This school is A1 and theres folks the majority CRST students who are under a contract by CRST which is paid training who are just too damn slow and cant catch on, everything is simple and clearly explained but some people are just not made for Trucking other then that the instructors specially LT are great at what they do...
