I was in Kumon for 8 years. Kumon really helped make school math easier. The kumon homework would teach me patience and made me realize to always put down quality work. The staff were always kind and the staff being “stern” is very helpful since it teaches students so much. There are many flaws of kumon and many positive aspects of kumon! There were days where it wasn’t great, but there were also days that were! One con i would like to point out is that kumon can take a toll on mental health and can cause it to decline over time. My 8 years at kumon with Mrs. Christine were great while they lasted!

4.5I’m a high school junior who has attended Kumon for the past eleven years. Having finished both Reading and Math programs, I attribute much of my success in school to Kumon. It has helped me develop good study habits, become self-motivated to learn., and I’ve always exceeded in my math classes because I would’ve already been familiar with the concepts that my peers were learning for the first time.I’ve also been working here part-time for the past two years, so I’ve gotten to know the staff at this Kumon both as a student and worker. Christine and the full-time staff truly care about all the students. Some students may call Christine ‘mean’ but I’ve never seen her that way. For example, if students are not completing homework or are causing disturbances, she’s definitely in the right to be stern with them. I think she’s strict because she has expectations and wants the students to improve.Personally, I like working here because I enjoy interacting with the students and staff. I admit Kumon isn’t perfect, and there are improvements that can be made, but I’ve enjoyed the majority of my experience here. Overall, I think all my years at this Kumon have been a good investment, and I’d probably send my kids here in the future too haha.

Ms. Christine runs the Daly City KUMON like a well-oiled machine...she is fully aware of every single student, their comprehension level, their progress and the areas where they need more attention. The level of improvement we have seen in our daughters math is impressive, and we are very grateful to Ms. Christine.

I used Kumon when I was a kid struggling in Math in grade school. I didnt benefit from the tutoring here because it was mainly group tutoring. If youre behind, the tutors seldom put you up to speed. Im sure the tutors and their service has changed over the years, but for the purpose of this review, I didnt like coming here. Furthermore, parking was always difficult with people double parking to pick up or drop off their kids.Instead, I went to a private tutor and learned better math skills at Quantum Leap School than at Kumon.

The fact that they allow students to learn at their own pace for $150 per month, per child, and per subject makes this an organized scam. This is mostly a home study program. You can find resources online equivalent to this for free.
