We have two children at St. Isidore school and we could not be more pleased with this school. Our children are receiving a well-rounded education in a nurturing and supportive environment. We chose Catholic school as we wanted our children to develop in their faith and have that be interwoven into their education as it is at St. Isidore. The teachers are kind and caring to their students and it is very evident that they are invested in their students success. There is a true sense of community at this school and we are thankful to be a part of it.

St. Isidore school is no doubt one of the best Catholic School in the Bay area. The teachers are wonderful and truly cares for the students. I found that the school works tremendously hard to provide a well balanced environment for the children to learn and grow. The children are encouraged to focus on faith, community service, respect and academia. As a parent, it is absolutely a wonderful feeling seeing my child truly happy and excited to go to school everyday. We are so blessed to have found this school 6 years ago.

All three of our children attend St Isidore School and it has been a fantastic place for them to grow and learn. There is such a warm and welcoming feeling on campus from the staff, parents and students. The curriculum is well rounded and the principal and staff do a great job of keeping up with the most current teaching methods. We could not have asked for a better community to raise and educate all facets of our childrens lives.

We are so happy to be apart of the St. Isidore school family. This school is truly unique in all that it has to offer our children from a strong Catholic faith, small group instruction, art, music, Spanish, a sense of community made stronger by parent involvement and faith families, community service projects and an amazing group of teachers and administrators. I’ve been elsewhere and there’s no where else I’d rather have my children grow and learn than St. Isidore school.

If you are looking for the most supportive environment for raising kind, well adjusted, and academically nurtured kids look no further than St. Isidore. Our oldest started here in Kindergarten 6 years ago and now we have 3 children in their K-8 program. What is most noticeable is how active parents are in the school community and how much the faculty/staff care about the children. It truly feels like an extended family where everyone is looking out for one another. And they also dont disappoint for equipping students for the future with everything from a makers space w/ robotics to making Spanish part of the required curriculum. As I reflect on whats best for my own children, my wife and I believe that sending them to St. Isidore is never something well regret. The atmosphere is one that produces great kids and we really appreciate our own children being surrounded by who else attends the school including like-minded parents.

St Isidore School provides academic excellence with a faith-based, moral education which prepares their students to be compassionate leaders in the community. Despite St. Isidore being a larger school there is a true sense of community and support. The teachers, staff and administrators truly care about the students. I see it everywhere, everyday. If there is ever any issue the teachers and administrators are there to meet, and will take your concerns seriously and work in partnership with you to find a solution.Although the class sizes are on the large side each teacher has a teacher’s aide in the classroom with them, sometimes two, and the students are split into smaller groups for educational instruction for the core academic subjects. I’m very impressed with the school’s commitment to continually develop their curriculum to prepare their students for life and careers in the 21st century.

I couldn’t be happier with our decision to take our kids out of public school and move them to St Isidore. Safety of our children was very important to us when picking a school and St Isidore is the safest in the East Bay. Wonderful and caring teachers and community. Best principal around. We have been at St Isidore for 4 Years now and never looked back. I tell all my friends and neighbors to consider St Isidore and take a tour and meet the principal. But one thing I have to tell you, you will want to sign your kids up right away!!! You are making the right choice for your children’s education and everyone will embrace your family and take care of your child no matter what grade you enter in. Hope you choose this school!

I drove by here after a book signing at Rakestraw books. I was so impressed with the intelligent students who asked exceptional questions. I was also impressed with how polite they were. Perhaps uniforms do make a difference.

My child attends St. Isidore. I selected St. Isidore because it was reasonably priced compared to similar schools in the area we were reviewing. The current tuition is right at 9K a year. After attending our first year and understanding what we gained from the school I am comfortable stating it is an absolute bargain. The first thing to note is that parent participation is required and extremely high. Each house hold is required to volunteer 20 hours a year. At first I balked at this requirement but noticed that this creates significant interest in the childrens education and creates parent involvement that I did not see at other schools. I did notice that most of the families attending this school tend to be better educated and have slightly higher family incomes and that brings with it more family involvement in their childrens education, but even if your family isnt of this mind set or financial standing the school forces you to be involved with your child. It is not a dumping ground for your child so you can go to work and leave the education to a school. parents are integral to making this thing work.Religion is extremely prevalent in the school. It is a Catholic school, and this is just about the only thing that really bothers me. They devote about 4 hours a week to religion. I am not religious at all and dont care for this aspect of the school and would prefer this time be devoted to STEM, but it is part of their curriculum and it is explained in the handbook that they are taught it. If you dont like it you have to go to another school. Otherwise your kids will get exposure to religion. My issue with it was only one view was being taught to my child. That god is responsible for the creation of all this and god did it in 6 days. No other view point was presented. But because we are involved in the schooling, it was easy for me to introduce ancillary explanations that have a more scientific angle to them on creationism. Generally speaking the religion aspect is helpful to the children because it at least teaches the children to be respectful. Although I dont completely approve of this portion it is something I have to accept if I want my child to continue to attend this school.Another point to highlight is the school is constantly fund raising. We are habitually asked for monetary donations. I have felt highly pressured into one donation for a fun run but for the remainder I felt no pressure to contribute anything additional to the school. After all our monetary donations and additional expenses I calculated the total expenditure to be about 9,700.The children do wear uniforms and at my childs level it appears that effort is made to keep the uniforms...well uniformed. There is not a lot of deviation from the standard uniform. The school year was periodically peppered with 1 dollar pay for free dress days. At my childs level uniform dress is less important because the children do not dwell on designer labels and tags. I do see this as an issue with older kids at schools where there is no uniform. But at St. Isidore this appears to be non existent. There is some autonomy in the selection of foot wear and coats. But generally speaking the uniforms are consistent between the children. It certainly helps in the AM because there are not a lot of selections your child to make that were a source of tension on what my child wanted to wear that day. It may appear you can save a nominal amount of money buying blue twill pants and white shirts from. old navy or target. Do yourselves a favor and just get them from the uniform vendor. The clothes the approved vendor sells are far more durable that anything you get at Target or old Navy. There is not a tremendous amount of diversity at the school. But I was looking at the demographics of the Danville area the school is in and Saint Isidore is representative of the local demographics of the local population..so it may be a by-product of the geographical area the school is located in more than anything. My expericnce has been extremely positive at the school.

We have three children at Saint Isidore (with a 4th joining them not far behind), and could not be happier with our decision. All of our children are flourishing here, and the growth weve seen academically, socially, and spiritually has only further reinforced our decision. We did not come to this decision without significant consideration - I grew up in Danville and know first-hand how great the public schools in our area are. Ultimately though, we believe we made the right decision for our family. The impact that a faith-centered learning environment has had on our children extends beyond academics, and were thrilled to see them excel academically as well as continue their growth as humble, kind, and empathetic children. Additionally, I also cannot say enough about the St. Isidore community of families, and the bonds we have forged with the families there.

We couldnt be more pleased with the community, staff and education that our children are receiving at St. Isidore school. We love seeing not only the academic achievements of our kids, but also their continuing development of character, morals, empathy, and religious understanding.
