My two sons have been regular students for years and they absolutely LOVE it. Having them playing to a real audience motivates them to practice, practice, practice. The shows are fun! Watching them progress year after year is also a true to joy to watch. Highly recommended!!!

Both of my sons take lessons from Mike and participate in bands through his amazing program. Mike is passionate about what he does, and he relates well to kids and teens. The band program is a totally immersive way to learn their instruments and inspiring for the kids. My son has been in a band for years now, and gets better every time. Now, both of them are playing in a band together and composing their own music. Mike is a music whisperer.

Mike and Sandy run a great program. My son has participated in their year round Rockband program for the past four years and still loves it. It has been a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it.

Mike and Sandy are incredible people who have devoted so much to this program. They started it from the ground up 10 years ago and deserve all the stars in the world. They are the most down to earth people and are completely committed to their students. This is why their students return summer after summer. Its incredible to see the kids grow each season. The experience that the kids get in being a part of a band, having practices and then performing live sets at different venues is such a unique and one of a kind offering. During my daughters high school years, RBU became an important part of our life. The program and staff of RBU deeply supported not only her development as a musician, but her growth and confidence as a person. Mike and Sandy create a welcoming, inclusive environment and a sense of excellence as defined by the goals and needs of the students. I look forward to the time my younger daughter is old enough to participate!

My first band was through RockBand University when I was in 8th grade. I loved peforming and feeling like I was a part of something loud, great, and special. I learned so much from awesome mentors who pushed and guided my musical tenacity.RockBand University is defnitely the perfect place for a young kid to express their love and passion for music. It is also an ideal environment for young musicians to interact and socialize with other like-minded musicians their age.If your kid loves to play and create music, I promise you, this is the place for them.I am now a student at UCLA making more music than ever.
