Very good college campus. Loved it. Bicycle friendly

This is a great school. Just beware of parking. Parking is a huge ripoff for students and visitor only staff gets the good parking spot with a fair price.

I went to football game and Covid precautions were in place. Needed vaccination proof with ID to receive wristbands to show you were screened. Inside stadium had fewer food truck vendors than pre-Covid, but since this was first game where students could attend without charge, it was crowded and festive.

This is the most amazing veterinary hospital ever!!! Welcoming and patient staff. Caring and loving to my bird Boo. Worth the drive and time. Amazing follow up care and concern after the fact. There arent enough kind words to say about this staff and clinic!!

I had heard that the atmosphere was great at UC Davis during football games. It certainly did not disappoint. Our experience was wonderful when we visited for the game against Dixie State.

Really nice experience with my daughter, she will be attending in 2 weeks. The campus is pretty, people are friendly and her apartment is new, cant ask for more then that. Loved it!

A beautiful place if it wasnt for all the liberals. The trick is not to engage anyone in intelligent conversation there other than that its beautiful!

They prepared a wonderful event for incoming students! Aggies will start off on the right foot due to the awesome orientation they are receiving!

Tight parking due to construction. The people were really nice.

Botanical Garden is worthy of repeat visits. The visitor parking information could be more helpful. Apparently free on weekends in certain lots, and a parking app is required to pay on weekdays. Navigating the hourly rate vs all day rate does not seem intuitive. Some directional signage to limited restrooms would also be helpful.

Fantastic. World-class university with beautiful grounds, creative faculty, and bright, ambitious students.

I went there to help a friend to take her daughter to the university it was a simple thing for her register and it was easy to find all the places she needed to go with it in the campus and there is a good staff always helping

Provided water for the Davis Turkey Trot! It was such a wonderful day filled with runs for all ages and even furry pets. So glad that we got to share clean oollee water to all the participants! Thank you UC Davis !

We are happy volunteer gardening at the Arboretum and often taking walks around the entire wonderful area.

Returning for a bike ride around campus after a 40+ year absence since graduation here. Glad to see many of the old original buildings have been preserved, while upgrading around them.

Deserves one star because of how expensive they are, how little they care about students, and little benefit they honestly give students. Great Campus and excellent engineering program tho.

Lovely campus, especially with all the flowers in bloom. However, parking is a problem and you must use the app, park mobile.

Super cool campus! Its has a bunch of trees and also feels modern and new! It seems they have been doing a lot of construction lately so it will look even better in the near future! Great School.

And its not just because I work here. UC Davis is consistently one of the top-ranked public universities in the country.

The care is top notch but the organization of staff is not always on top of things. Communication is lacking at times when trying to schedule or coordinate care. Paying attention to details.

Excellent arboretum and botanical garden. No parking, though. Get a ride or take UNITRANS.

The arboretum is such a terrific resource. Great place for a family picnic with birds, bugs, trails, trees, and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves.

Checking on the new construction work at the campus...this is a beautiful old school well maintained & kept the old world charm by not ripping out those beautiful old trees...just simply charming!

Walking the arboridum early in the morning is very beautiful and peaceful. Parking is currently free due to covid. The only concern is everyone walking through the gardens are no longer wearing masks. Why? This included the elderly to young individuals and a photographer.This is very unusual so walkers beware.

The most beautiful season is fall. I do enjoy walking in campus with hot coffee from MU. My favorite building is silo. Chicken over rice from food truck!

If you have the money and you love your pet this is the best place to bring your dog or cat a horse or any animal. No need to look for any specialist for your pet they have them there. Be warned this is not a cheap place. You pay for what you get and you do get good service here. Im one of the lucky ones who live only 20 miles away. Some people drive as far as 200 miles away or farther than that.

To those who are not local, UC Davis is a unknown school. Its a high-quality place, tucked away in a city that is envious of Berkeley. Most parents would be happier to send their kids to Davis than to Berkeley, for safety reasons.

If Im being totally honest, I was a bit dissapointed. I had high expectation when transfering from my community college, my time in Davis gave me an even greater appreciation for Saddleback College. I did enjoy my time here, Davis is a wonderful town, unless you really need that city life. The school feels a bit old and over crowded with a couple stand out new buildings that you might be lucky enough to have one class in. In animal science, its always a struggle to get the classes you want, and theyre usually packed with students. TAs do most of the grading, and while some were amazing and will be remembered for the rest of my life, many were apathetic and I seriously questioned their knowledgeability on subject matter or proper writing techniques. The majority of professors were great teachers and warm people, if you could push through the hoard to make an introduction. If youre too shy, youll be lost in the crowd, choose to stand out. Im still grateful for the time I spent here, UCD set me up to follow my dream, and I learned from some of the best animal scientists. Im looking forward to starting veterinary school this fall.

I went to school here and it was great! The weather is four season The football team rules. The campus is perfectly planed out; And the administration and staff seem to really care here. I earned my bachelors here, and would do it all over again. It was a great education.

Pretty Busy Place!!!

I just could not get over the feeling that I was the one and only single African American who was surrounded by an endless mass of Asian Americans who was wondering what the heck was a person like me, doing on their campus!? I have met several nice students, but the diversity of people on campus has very little to do with the diversity of the real world.

Best place ever been going there for years

The water comes right up to the top edge and the life guards are really chill. You can bring in food and there is a nice little island in the one of the four sections of pool. TOP NOTCH.

Currently I am a rising Junior at UC Davis. I am in love with the campus, the people and the community. Having experienced living in an urban city college this summer, my love for UCD has only grown. I am so thankful to be able to learn in a diverse setting with a student community that genuinely is keen on helping one another. The campus is beautiful - take a look at the arboretum. Make the most of your four years at the school and become involved. Theres lots to do if you take the initiative.

Great experience. One of the last few true college towns. Large campus but plenty of ways to connect. Great food, great professors and a great opportunity. Highly recommend you do the dorms your first year.

I have been only studying the school even tho I am wanting to attend a cool art school in San Francisco so UC divas seems to be a school that is more for people who want to life active and have to have a challenging time to get a teachers attention with a lot of compaction, if you want to get a great year in college, dont go here were there are a lot of challenges and unfairness. Im 15 and already plan on not going here

Wonderful place for our chaps beginnings

If youre coming from So Cal just be warned that people and the lifestyle of nor cal is very slow paced and boring. Also given the fact that theres nothing to do in Davis, you may implode. The education is phenomenal and difficult. The food is pretty good. Just make sure its what you really want in a college experience.

UCD is a great school. It will definitely shape any student for success in the real World. As an Alumnist, 2007, going to UCD is one of the best decision I made in life.

I have been here for about 10 years as I was a undergraduate student and then became a graduate student with a one year gap in between. I love the environment here. Very peaceful, though the foods for graduate students can have some improvements.

I received my bachelors degree from UCD and loved the experience there! I learned that you have to step outside your comfort zone in order to succeed and really enjoy your college experience, and I think there were plenty of opportunities to do so in Davis.I also love, love, love the campus! Its full of nature and everyone is cautious of the environment. Always clean and gorgeous.

I earned a Doctorate in Molecular Genetics from the UC Davis and I had the pleasure of working with a World Class faculty in Life Sciences. My career has been one adventure after another and I continue to work in Academia as a professor with a fine group of people; the few, the proud, the scientists!

The campus is HUGE and has probably gotten bigger since i left! Beautiful campus! Even if you dont go to school there, it is so nice and relaxing (when classes arent in session) that you can treat it like a park sorta. Great place to just ride a bike (again when classes arent in session, coz bike traffic can get crazy!!!)

I got into my dream school (UC Davis) and I absolutely love it. It’s eco-friendly, the professors are passionate about their subject-matter, and the students are extremely kind. I couldn’t have asked for a better university than this.

I imagine the school is pretty good despite the large number cows we saw around campus.This is your typical college town. Everything is designed for students and life in Davis seems to revolve around UC Davis and bicycles.I would avoid Greek life if you enjoy having a high GPA.

Perhaps I was attending the nearby special education facility while thinking I was at the UC? Certainly felt like that at more than a few points in my undergrad studies there.Something about the whole atmosphere was off (even if the swastika graffiti and burn the witch adult population are taken out of the equation), and I felt it from day one.I chose to ignore it in favor of what I thought was better judgement -- this was easily one of the ten worst mistakes of my life.

I love this campus! It is home to me. The bike paths are the best in the western US. The university is an amazing place to study and learn.

This school deserves 5 stars! The one star reviews are from the pepper spray incident that occurred a couple years ago. Dont let those reviews sway you, this school is beautiful and has incredible academics!

Im still in middle school but this is my dream college I have been working my hardest to get good grades and be a good student I really hope to go there one day and become a vet I know Im planning early but I just love animals and they love me
