My daughter and I tried Beaver Beauty Academy today and we are extremely pleased. We got a variety of services (hair, nails, toes and mini facial). The atmosphere, students and instructors were very nice and accommodating. I have no complaints and I dont mind being a person to practice on! We WILL be going back!

I went to get my natural hair braided, and Becky hooked me up. She far exceeded my expectations. The shampoo and conditioner left me hair smelling heavenly. I asked for cornrows with a side part, and she styled me like a professional braider. She did an excellent job from shampoo to style. I will definitely be going back.

The students their are so down to earth and funny. And Ms. P is funny and helpful all at the same time. Me and my daughter will be back.

Oh I am so excited to share my 2 granddaughters experience at Beaver Beauty Academy in Decatur Georgia. What a superb experience it was from the time we walked in and signed in an the most professional young lady come out the back and walk over to me to let me know that she would be the one washing my girls hair and answering everyone of my worried grandma questions with patience and concern she reassured me that my girls would be well taken care of and for me not to worry. Oh My God!!!!! Let me tell you when my granddaughters called me to tell me to come back in they were ready to go I walked in and stood in the back looking for my girls not knowing I was standing right next to the oldest one and the youngest one was in the chair getting her baby hairs done by the same young lady who washed there hair. I was so blown away at work that had been done on my girls. I wanted to jump up and down with joy because they looked so so beautiful and had HUGE SMILES on there face. So from to all the lady who worked so GraciouslyOn my two grandbabies head Trinity and Nevaeh Thank you oh so much what a great awesome professional job you all did thank you you really made us feel like we were at the house with family.💖💖💖😘😘😘😘😘😘. Had to get my hair cut down and I wasnt sure about how it would look, but wow it turned out great. LaShawn did an awesome job.

I was happy with the services I received. I didnt like that I had to pay for everything upfront, before I even had anything done. I will go back, but its not a place for everyone.

Let me start by giving thanks to Ms. P and Dr Beaver. If it wasn’t for them staying on me. Making sure I was great even when I wasn’t, helped me get finished with the Cosmetology program. Ms P, was the best instructor I have ever had. And yes she poured into me. All knowledge and lil tricks she have. BBA was my family away from my family. I am now a Licensed Cosmetologist. Professional, efficient, fun!How Ive been in Decatur my whole life and am just now coming across this school is beyond me. It was obvious from the moment I walked in that the owner runs a tight ship: everything was organized, clean and neat, and based on services requested she knew exactly who each customer should see. I got my lashes done and a full lace wig install and will definitely be returning for future beauty needs. Also, I really enjoyed how the staff/students interacted with each other. They were supportive of each others work, asking for guidance on techniques and it was clear that these students want to make each of us beautiful.

Don’t enroll into the school unless you absolutely have no choice! I was going to enroll today gave them $500 they call me when I left saying it’s $600 when they told me multiple times $500. So I said I’ll just come back for my money they first said no refund then put me on hold to talk about me to the other people there and then tell me I’ll give you a refund. Inside the school is very poorly done, the students have deal with teachers that I can tell is very uneducated in manners and professionalism so that speaks volume on how they run their school. When I’m waiting for my refund to be handed to me the owners throw shade about me to her students which was another example of how unprofessional they are. I recommend going to Paul Mitchell or empire beauty school and being in debt vs having no debt and dealing with rude uneducated women in the ghetto!

My son used Groupon and he treated me to a manicure, pedicure, facial and a deep hair condition for my birthday. The staff and students were very friendly 😊 and genuine with their work. Very informative about what products to use on my hair. There was a Birthday Spa Party going as well and the atmosphere was very clean, nice and relaxing. Last but definitely not least, I like the fact that this establishment is Black Owned. I will return, Just Know💯. Stop getting your nails and toes done by a person that doesnt speak or look like you. Beaver Beauty Academy is an establishment that was a God send. The services provided, the cleanliness of the establishment, the customer service, and the journey from beginning to end is simply, A Day at the Spa! Being a single father of identical twin, teenage girls, is costly as you can imagine. Every two weeks I treat myself and my daughters with the LOVE treatment. Deloria gives the best manicures and pedicures, and although she has clients before us, she is simply worth the wait. Shhhh...but I sneak and get a back wax from Emoney and living in Los Angeles youd think everything is the best there, but Ive never has a wax quite like this. The services that are provided at Beaver Beauty are quite ingratiating at our every visit. Check them out, youll thank yourself for the experience!

Id noticed the signs advertising a new beauty school on Candler Rd. in Decatur and decided to give the $10 Shampoo and Set a try. I can honestly say, Im very glad I did.The staff explained the process very well assuring me a professional stylist would be within ear shot at all times.They started with a very relaxing scalp massage which giving the continuing headache Ive had was very well received.Next Alexis, a very bubbly young lady with a northern accent, gave me one of the best shampoos Ive had in my life! This girl scratched itches I didnt even know I had. She thoroughly cleaned my hair and rinsed it very well and was meticulous with the application of not only the shampoo but the deep conditioner. She carefully rinsed my hair until it squeaked it was so clean!!!Then Tia took over to preform the blow-dry service that Id requested. She seemed to to be a relatively new English speaker, as some of the questions she asked where a little bit broken, however that did not take away from the exemplary service she gave. I say she preformed the blow-dry service because it was much like a dance. From one side of my head to the other she carefully parted out each section as she blow-dried it making sure I was comfortable with each move. And like an artist with his brush she made sure each strand was laying as neatly as possible, each curl was in its place and the style was as it should be.I am personally very pleased with the end product. My hair feels light weight, luxurious, and smooth to the touch!!!Prices do vary according to additional treatments and length of hair however for the quality I received I feel it was still very reasonable!!Needless to say, Beaver Beauty Academy will see me again soon!!!

Came into the school for a wash blow dry flat iron and a high ponytail. The website said for updo was $20 I paid $31.50. The teacher wasn’t sure about the prices. The vibe was off because she walk me to the back and ask the ladies who wanted to do my hair it’s was 6 ladies nobody said anything. She ask again and the girl Alexis said she will. Went to the washing area and I seen my cousin there and she ask why I didn’t let her do my hair I told her because I didn’t know she was there. The girl Alexis asked my cousin oh you want to do her hair. My cousin already had a client who hair she was washing my cousin told her no. So she wash my hair and blow dry it. She flat iron it real good. When it came to putting it in a high ponytail with my bun she really didn’t know how. I had my own edge control, because I don’t use gel. I left but came home and re-did my hair. I will not be returning. Only one teacher and a lot of students who don’t want to do the clients hair.

I took my 11 year old for braids and she was very pleased. She is very tender headed and usually complains. At Beavers she stated they did not braid tight but the hair style lasted. The price was very reasonable and the staff friendly.

I took about 30 middle school girls to BBA for a field trip and to receive services. Dr. Beaver was in constant communication with me and made sure my girls were taken very good care of! I went to the school to get a color. I was glad that Ms. P informed me of how the process went due to the dye that was already in my hair. Everyone that I came in contact with was friendly and professional all the way down to the student that flat ironed my hair. Ms. Jackie gave me her professional input as well. My braids were done by Meghan and my lashes eyebrows and make up was done by Kyree. Ms. Patterson was very kind and concerned with my treatment. She made sure the students treated me with the utmost servitude. I got the works mani pedi, braids, lashes, and eye makeup for a very low price. I would just encourage Ms. Patterson to polish the students more on professionalism. As many of them are young and very talented, like many young people they just need a little more polish on that because it will take them far in the industry. As far as talent, the students are definitely being taught very well on hair care because I heard her telling them. I got compliments the minute I walked out the door. It would also be a great place to take little girls to get mani pedi and facials for a very low price. Also, I saw many seniors come in. Its best to go early in the morning for braids. I will definately be back.
