Some of the staff is great, but I dont like the way they talk to the kids. I said something to the principal about it but she ack like cause I was the first parent to say something it really didnt mean anything. So I will be moving so my kids can go to a better school were its a friendly and respectful school.

Im with Nikki - cant stand this school! My daughter was only in Kindergarten last school term and she was constantly harassed by her teacher daily. She would threaten to leave my child on the bus during field trips and just downright pick on her (which I spoke to the Principal about and doesnt seem like much was done). By the end of the school year, I was receiving calls or text msgs DAILY from this teacher tattling on my daughter.... a 5 YEAR OLD! I finally had to call this woman out and tell her to stop calling me during my work day! In my opinion, this teacher has no business teaching this particular grade level... her attitude and demeanor is more suited for middle school... Dont even get me started on a couple of the ladies in the cafeteria - the way they talk to the children is completely inappropriate and uncalled for. If you have another choice of school to send your child to, do that.

I absolutely hate this school, my son was a transfer from stone mill elementary where I should have kept him. I transferred him in February and they have suspended him over 3 times already, they call everyday, they have the nerve to tell me that he roams the halls for over 2 hours by himself and Im trying to understand how Can a 7 yr old in the first grade do that much. The school has over 1100 kids in it which I ridiculous they cant handle all of these kids and it not fair to the kids. Although I may admit my son has behavior problems but this is ridiculous for them to suspend him the way they do and call me all the time everyday. Then tell me thats the way that Dekalb county operate, in not going for that Ive always reached out to the board of education and waiting on my reply. This school needs a revamp ASAP!

This school is awful.My son is only 7 years old and it hurt me yesterday to watch him break down telling me on how the bigger kids bully him. Im starting to belive that these so called teachers just want a check and dont care about the safety of the children. My 4 year old witnessed my son being chased she watched him run to her pre-k teacher and he told her the boy is chasing me trying to beat me up..I lost it when my daughter told me that her teacher responded to my son with why are you running in the hallway? I’m like was she not listening what was my son to do walk and get beat up? Not to mention that he is being bullied in the cafeteria has been in numerous fights. No one has called and told me not a damn thing. But they can tell you when your child misses school.. GET IT TOGETHER PEACHCREST.. There has been to many children that has taken their lives due to being bullied. Where is the safety net for our children while we as the parents are entrusted are childrens safety to you while they are in your care?

My grand daughter has attended this school from 3rd-5th grade. With the exception of four members of the administrative team and one teacher..my experience was awful. Mainly because of the communication, or the lack of communication. Secondly, I met far too many unprofessional and dishonest adults. The climate and culture are both conducive for bullying because the teachers are bullies and have gone so far to call children names. I was so very disappointed in African American men and women who have been entrusted by the community and the parents to serve this community which is predominantly African American. If you and children attend Peachcrest, remain prayerful and do not allow the children to eat the lunch. Horrible!

I only went here when I was 7 but it was a good time

Well my step son omar scott attends the school but i dnt like the fact they dont watch the kids every moves ...the lil boys going in the girls bathroom...they needs to pay more attention to students. ...

It is a good school a elementary school

Peachcrest Elementary is has now reopened in a brand new facility August 2015. It tore down the old Peachcrest Elementary School. It replaced the Midway Elementary School. It is located at 1530 Joy Lane, Decatur, GA 30032. Hauzwei Homes
