Works great for our four year old, no crazy long term contracts like some places, great care, great teachers like Ms. Shay and Ms. Jackie. Friendly administration and reception. Cool stuff for the kids to do in class. They learn a lot and have fun. The kids here are cool too. It’s diverse and welcoming.

As a current parent at this location, I have to say Im incredibly grateful to the staff for working during this global pandemic. Theyve mandated masks and temperature checks, which is the reason I chose to move my toddler son here. However, after less than one month here, an error was made in billing and I was overcharged almost $600 over the amount a staff member informed me Id be charged for my first payment. They let me know they couldnt refund this payment because they dont do refunds, so I asked that the owner please call me. Instead, the owner emailed me, choosing to forward me the billing terms document in the welcome packet. As if I dont understand the terms! She completely dismissed the email chain I forwarded her between her staff member and I, (which confirmed what I would be charged and when for my first month of enrollment). But, the owner made no effort to make things right. No apology, nor honoring the agreement clearly discussed via email with her staff member. As a single parent household, I work hard to organize my budget monthly to ensure all vendors are paid when payments due. I clarified what charges would be with the staff for a reason. Mistakes happen, I totally understand. But, to completely disregard ones mistakes, after having been a parent here for less than a month ... Very disappointing.Response to Owners Reply:I would love to be made aware of the other aspects to these claims. Nothing to hide here. :) And, as I do appreciate all business owners upholding the integrity of enrollment agreements, I certainly do not appreciate business owners not taking accountability for errors made on behalf of the business (as spelled out in the first month payment terms expressed in the email chain between your staff and myself that I forwarded to you). But, thank you for taking the time to respond to my review, since you werent able to get back to me via telephone call, as initially requested.Good day to you.

We just withdrew my three year old who produced some abnormal separation anxiety when starting this school. Hes been to 3 other daycares throughout his life and has never had anxiety outside of the typical adjustment period in the beginning. On the last day of drop off, I felt the teachers glaring at us when I left him screaming and crying. By the time I got to the parking lot, I decided I needed to go back and get him and when I got near the classroom door, I could hear the teacher who was sitting at the table in the middle of the classroom screaming at my child who was near the door Stand up, stand up, stand up. I did not appreciate her tone and unwillingness to engage with him when he was clearly having a hard time. We requested a refund of the days not used due to the neglectfulness of the teacher, but that request was denied. Would not recommend this school.

Goddard is a well managed day care that gives parents peace of mind by providing excellent child care. Teachers are very nurturing, attentive and allow children to express themselves and develop skills at their own pace. They also have a lot of fun and interactive activities for both kids and parents.

My son has attended The Goddard school for over a year. His previous teacher Miss. Ariah has been exceptional! Words can’t express how grateful I am that my son has had the chance to have her as his teacher. She has gone above and beyond. The lengths she has gone to, absolutely has been above what most teachers would do. She’s just amazing! My son recently has moved to the Pre k Class. Has been a drastic change for him. Miss. Ariah still takes the time to stop by and check on my baby. He asks for her everyday. Wants to make sure he stops by to say bye whenever he leaves school! Our experience has been great mainly because of her!

My husband and I were very nervous when we decided to send our daughter to school, rather than in-home care of a nanny. We wanted to make sure that it was the perfect fit or as perfect as possible. From the moment we walked into the school, it felt warm, inviting and safe. We were greeted warmly and the tour was like none other that we experienced. We did our homework, asked lots of questions and toured lots of schools. The Goddard School was different, it really stood out. We could see during the tour the school was practicing what they said. There was visual proof at every age level we saw. Our daughter started at The Goddard School Decatur when she was 9 weeks old, we have been enrolled there for almost two years. The staff is very friendly and help ease my concerns. I appreciate how responsive and available the owners are. I can truly say that our experience has been wonderful! I highly recommend this school.

I enrolled my daughter as an infant when the school opened and we now have a son in the infant class. My daughter is now in the two year old room. I work and live less than five minutes away and am always there unannounced to nurse my children. I have always found the front office staff welcoming and happy to see me. I have seen the room get a little busy with eight babies and three teachers, but have always found the teachers very attentive, quick to address the babies needs, and always in a great mood. I have no regrets, no worries and love everything about this school!

The facility is great with great people that work there and has good security and great learning curriculum BUT unless you are rich I wouldn’t advice you to consider them because it is $366 a week for infant!! If you can afford it go ahead but that’s just ridiculous to charge that much! If rates was not so dang high I would put my kid there!

My 22 month old started attending this school some time in October of 2017. While I expected for him to get sick here and there as this was his first time in a childcare setting, I was not expecting bronchitis, followed by the flu, then two bouts of the stomach flu. This was all coupled by the fact that the director expected us to keep our child there despite the ongoing onslaught of communicable infections. Even after the multiple infections and illness, I still wanted to give this place a try. I think that what made me decide to withdraw him was when he came home with a large knot on his forehead and neither the teacher nor director had contacted myself or my spouse. Sadly, it wasn’t until I called them the following morning that they advised of the incident. How could I continue to trust such an organization with my child. I would honestly recommend that if you do consider this facility, please be diligent with your child and the staff. The communication at this place is shoddy at best. I remember contacting the staff to advise them that we would be needing to increase our days from 3 to 4 when he had initially started. The front desk staff advised that they would take care of it. Well, I received an email about a month later stating that we were going to be charged for unscheduled days. After contacting the school again, they had no recollection or documentation of the call.....Really??? To say the least, our little one will not be returning to this school and frankly, there needs to be some level of integrity with this school especially where their tuition is concerned. It doesn’t make sense that you would want to continue to charge a family for an additional 30 days after we have made it very clear that one of the main reasons we are leaving is due to their poor sanitation practices and lack of communication. Shame on you Goddard

As a first time mom, I was planning to send my 4 month old to Goddard School in Decatur-Atlanta; I had registered and even paid my first month fee; however couple of things happened convincing me to stay away from this school. First of all, few weeks ago, I have seen under Goddard Instagram account a very bad review about specifically Decatur branch. It was about a kid in the toddler class and how she was abused. I reached out to the Director and the owner to get clarification and they said they werent aware of the incidence; by coincidence, a few days after I questioned this, relevant instagram advertisement with the bad review is deleted from the Goddard account. As if this wasnt enough for me to be concerned, today I went for orientation, my kid was planned to start next week; when I and the director were behind the glass window watching the kids in the infant class, a 9ish month old baby started hitting hard to the head of a 4ish month old lying on the floor where we had just walked on with our shoes on. And another kid was lying face down on a pillow with a soft toy in her mouth struggling to turn on her back. During both of these instances; instructors did NOTHING until I urged the director; only then she got in the room to interfere and warn the teacher. After I got back home, trying to take more time to think about what I have seen, I decided to cancel and called them to inform. Director said that she was sorry for what I had seen, such type of things wouldnt normally happen and it happened only in a matter of seconds when the instructor turned her head back. I told her that is understood but I wasnt comfortable anymore, I dont care also about registration fee but it would be great if they can refund the October month fee of $1540. She said that it was against policy ( as if the policy has nothing to say about the service of taking good care of the kids) and I was more than welcome to drop my kid anytime during the month not to feel like i am not getting any service. It was interesting to see that she would still expect me to leave my kid there at all. Goddard put me in a very difficult spot, I will start working in a few weeks, I have to find a nanny in this short time frame and I am also paying for the next month to them for a service I am not getting.
