I came originally only for my CNA but met some aamazing people here that recommended I come here for my PCT to secure me a job at any hospital. They truly are exceptional here. The people here are NOT money hungry unlike other schools. This school offers the same education, a lower price, and gets you out into the real medical field just as quick. The longest you would stay here is 3-4 months for all classes combined. That’s the time for just one class anywhere else. They allow you to pay in small portions if you are struggling. Truly a great school, they care about your education, would recommend to anyone.

I attended this school over the summer. I took 2 courses, both phlebotomy and EKG. I highly recommend this school. The teachers are amazing and very educated. The classes went smooth and I learned more than I had even anticipated. I would take more classes here if they offered them. The staff is amazing as well.

I have completed 1 out of 3 certifications and eventually license in becoming a Patient Care Technician. And one day becoming a Nurse Practitioner. I have to Thank Director Manny and Instructor Jeanne for starting the stepping stones into the nursing field. I have not just gained knowledge but the skills to better help patient care. I look forward in taking EKG and phlebotomy course and heard so many good things about the class and the instructors. If the instructors are intelligent, professional and skillful as Instructor Jeanne, then I cannot wait to take them. The class size was fine due to the COVID-19 situation.I had the pleasure of meeting amazing students who all had great personalities, smart, funny to be with as we all were learning to be Nurse Assistants.I would and have recommend this place to family and friends.Everyone has his or her own experience with anything. I encourage anyone who is interested to try it, it doesn’t hurt and the cost was fine with as other options were available.

Horrible. I learned nothing. They harassed me to work with there company. Money hungry. People always leaving. My teacher was either always late or didn’t show up. I paid so much for these classes that I’ve learned absolutely nothing in. I felt almost forced to be there at certain points when I was ready to leave. He went way too fast through all the courses. Give us something different to learn every day but did not take enough time on them at all . The only thing I did well with was the hands-on because we had a different teacher. I did not go through with HHA in the future due to the school scaring me away

Just finished the CNA program with professor Jeanne. Cant think of anything negative to say about her, or the staff at LISNA. Mrs Jeanne is a remarkable professor, very engaging, interactive and passionate about teaching. Im also going for EKG and Phlebotomy to become a PCT. I would highly recommend this school for anyone in search of a CNA, Phlebotomy, EKG and/or HHA.

I called to receive information about the phlebotomy course. I was asking a few questions regarding the class to see if I wanted to enroll. The first woman I spoke to was very helpful, then I asked a question and she placed me on a brief hold. A very rude man came to the line and started yelling at me and said you have kept the woman on the line for a very long time, etc. yeah, I was on the phone with her ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR SCHOOL!!! I then said how he was being very rude to a potential student and his attitude towards me Turned me away. I wouldnt advise anyone even bothering contacting this place.

I usually do not take time to write reviews. However, I would like to spread awareness to people planning on attending this school. I really want to save people money and burden of being lied to.I am in nursing school. I attended this school recently for PCT and immediately transferred to a different school. I am very happy in the new school. However, I was unbelievably upset with the service provided by Long Island School of Nursing Assistants. Manny and Josephine (directors) are extremely unprofessional and greedy. All they are interested is taking your money and giving false hopes to their students. Hence, they are often looking for opportunities to take advantage of their students and charge them for any little thing. They do not care about their students and quality of education. Most of their equipment in the skills room are broken/not functional (even the sink does not work). The teachers often have to improvise, even when it comes to using gloves and washing hands. We have to constantly share, re-use, improvise and make believe certain essential equipment/items exist. The ceiling in the women bathroom even has mold and is falling apart (health hazard).Teachers are scared to complain to Manny and Josephine, as they mistreat their employees in front of the students. In addition, teachers do not care about the material that they teach as they are discouraged by their employers (Manny and Josephine). There is a big lack of communication between the directors, teachers and students. I was extremely upset in how Josephine speaks with the hardworking lady at the front desk. She yells, disrespects, and belittles her in front of people. I believe no human being should be treated this way. If it was not for the lady at the front desk, I would not have stayed there as long as I did (three weeks). Moreover, they are never in the building when students need them (especially during morning classes and evening classes). Regardless, if you enjoy a primitive disciplinary style, this school is for you. If not, save yourself a big headache, waste of your money and look elsewhere but this school.

Good school if you take the CNA class. However, if you just take Phlebotomy and/EKG and are not already in the medical field you will have a hard time finding a job because of lack of experience and internship. For me, lack of an internship was an issue, that is where confidence is built. The classes are cheaper than most schools and are for shorter time periods so be honest with yourself as far as how quickly you learn and how much time you have available to study.
