Cant find my review. Just curious if it was deleted.I had previously mentioned that as Im sure they care about their students and educating them, there no American flags present anywhere. Why not be proud of being in the Republic of America and be proud of being Americans? Shouldnt who we are and our history be a part of educating our children??

I went here from kindergarten, to 6th grade. Now I am in 7th. I had so many good memories here, and R.I.P. Mr. Bustos. The school closed somewhere in June or July of 2018. Now I go to Early College of Arvada. Almost all of the staff that I have experienced was nice to me and helped me. Not often did I get bullied, and VERY RARELY did I have to DEFEND myself. Before, it was K-12. Now its preschool through 5th grade. Some staff members that were nice to me were Ms. Mendez, Ms. Zook, Ms. Medina, Ms. Peshkin, Mrs. Wimmer, Ms. Kelly, Ms. Patel (I was her favorite student in kindergarten through 2nd grade (I think)), Ms. Mahoney, Ms. Rosy, and so many others. On the last day of school, legit, my whole class cried. Everyone was rushing to get last autographs, goodbyes, and each others phone numbers. One of the people I miss a lot is Gabby Chrisp. I liked her in 6th grade and still do now. I got her chocolates on Valentines Day, her number, and we hung out together sometimes. I miss her, and a bunch of my friends and staff members. R.I.P. CCA. I dont know how good Rocky Mountain Prep is (replacement for CCA), but check it out, I guess. Thank You- Colton

I am a teacher at CCA-Denver. Ive been privileged to serve both the middle school and elementary students as a 1st grade teacher, 5th grade teacher and middle school dance instructor since 2010. No school is perfect but over the years Ive learned through personal experience that those who teach at CCA are there because they truly love children and want to make a positive impact in their lives. This school is geared towards those who learn in a traditional environment. The schedule is intense and curriculum rigorous. To those who need a more flexible environment such as Montessori, this school may not be the right fit. However, if your child thrives on routine and high expectations, come and take a tour for yourself.I am proud to say that the teachers receive weekly training on meeting a variety of student needs through the use of data to differentiate learning. Our teachers work as a grade level team as well as vertical teams to help children successfully learn and transition from each grade. If youd like to learn more and see if CCA is the right fit for you, visit our website, Facebook page or school.

I am so dissappointed in Cesar Chavez. My daughter started going there in 1st grade and has been there a year in a half. She has always been very social, outgoing and friendly, and I wanted her to go to a school that would offer a top notch education, as well as a diverse student background. Although they do have a tough curriculum, I quickly found out that because she is white, she was getting picked on contantly. Being told she was ugly, students calling her names, and since I have a lot of background with youth I taught her to deal with it as best as she could. Unfortunately, when I finally brought it up to the school, they came back and blamed my daughter! In a year in a half, not one single thing was mentioned to me about my daughter being mean to any other student, UNTIL, I called to discuss the bullying she was being faced with. I was on a weekly meeting schedule with her teacher, met with both the supervisor and the principle, and even made an effort to have lunch with her once a week so that I could see what was happening with my own two eyes (which I did see very clearly). The worst part was when I asked why I wasnt notified that my daughter was hurting other children when it happened (it had been 2 weeks since the alleged incident was reported), the principle said it didnt matter, and now that she was telling me we had to get her behaviour under control immediately.I had lots of high hopes for CCA, but in the end, I truly feel that the administration and the teachers are very bad at communicating, even about extremely important topics, and they do not have control over their classrooms. I would HIGHLY recommend taking a tour of the school, but try and do it improptu so you get a real feel about them before making your decision. My decision has made my once vibrant and happy daughter, depressed and so miserable about going to school that she has cried to the point where I have had to keep her home 3 days this year. No child deserves to be ignored, and that is truly what happened in her eyes. They dont care about the children, just their reputation.

This is a terrible school. In particular, the administration does not have best practices in place for hiring and firing teachers. I taught there for two years during which time I NEVER received an informal or formal job performance evaluation. I really wanted some feedback, so I asked my supervisor, Pam Kelly, for a review. Within a short time, but not face to face, I was given a review via email which contained problems indicated in the area of communication. The very next day, on the last day before summer break, the 3rd Principal in my two years, Kamini Patel, called me in to inform me that I was being non-renewed on my contract for the following school year. I was confused because my review overall said that my performance meets expectations and part of the schools mantra is we are a school of no surprises. Needless to say I was quite surprised at being terminated without having been given an opportunity to know what the concerns were, and with that, no opportunity was given to me to attempt to improve whatever the performance problem(s) was/were. Pam Kelly is all teachers supervisor, and as such, she should be communicating nay concerns she has directly. Its ironic that the area she rated ME low in was in Communication when its she who didnt communicate. Its almost laughable. Anyway, I say that a school that treats it employees like that, is likely treating your children and you, the parent, the same way. Are they failing your child(ren) in classes before giving any information to them or you about what they are doing wrong and how they can improve their grades? Knowing that CCA-Denver treats its employees this way, I would be concerned that they are treating their students and parents this way as well. Think carefully and check into this school closely before enrolling your child here.
