Ive been taking online classes with Luciana for almost 1 year now. When I started I was 8 months pregnant. She encouraged me to push myself (not too hard! :p) and welcomed me and my belly. It made me feel really good because I was self-conscious, but still wanted to do my best. Nowadays, Luciana still pushes me and the other dancers to do our best. She does this with helpful tips and her diverse style of teaching. Luciana also helps us through private lessons if we want, and always has great music to dance to! :D

Ive been studying Rio-style samba with Luciana for about a year and Ive made a lot of improvement. Its valuable to me that the classes arent just about movement. They cover the philosophy and folklore that contributes to modern samba as well practical tips for performers. The classes are challenging but exactly what I need in this phase of my samba journey. Gratitude.

Luciana is a superb teacher who brings authenticity to Brazilian samba. She really breaks down the moves, whether a beginner or advanced and for intermediate classes has intricate choreographies that I felt were a good pace to learn. She knows the roots of this dance and passes on her knowledge for both body and soul.

I founs Luciana during Covid looking to samba remotely and so glad I did! Even being on Zoom, she was great at connecting with us, has great energy, great choreo, warmup, cool down, and will give feedback on technique so you can improve. Shes awesome!

Luciana is amazing! I have studied dance all of my long life and appreciate her patience and insistence on correct technique and posture. You would think it would be difficult to teach online yet she observes us individually with a critical ,but loving eye.
