Prior to our wedding my husband expressed concern for dancing a traditional first dance. A perfectionist and musician, he wanted our dance to be more than a middle school sway. Three weeks prior to our reception we took lessons with Melissa and were surprised by how much we enjoyed it. After just a couple of lessons we had 4/5 moves in our back pocket that we could incorporate into a natural dance to wow the audience. We managed to score a lot of cheers, laughs and applauses - all while having fun and feeling confident. I would definitely recommend The Wedding Dance Coach (and Melissa) to anyone who wants to learn a few basics or beyond - whether its for a wedding, some other event, or just for fun.

My husband and I had just the BEST time learning some dance moves for our first dance with our dance coach Melissa. She made us feel so welcome and confident. We essentially got to have a little dance date night 5 times before the wedding- practicing our first dance but also learning moves we can utilize in a number of dance settings in the future. I purchased the Anti-Middle School Dance Package with Melissa for the first dance at my wedding and was so glad I did it. My husband was very hesitant to do lessons because he didnt want to look overly choreographed but I didnt want to sway around for 3 minutes. Melissa was able to work with us on a dance that had some free-style for him and some choreographed moves for me. Everyone was commenting all night on how beautiful our first dance was. My one regret at my wedding was that I didnt get it on video. :( Melissa is great and I would highly recommend the Wedding Dance Coach!

We worked with Melissa and the owner Elizabeth. This was one of the best experiences I had during our wedding prep. I was a great stress reliever to make time for something fun. The dance we did was a creation of instructors and us--we really made our dance our own. This was such a fun personalized experience. I would highly recommend them.

A couple friends of ours recommended Wedding Dance Coach for dance lessons for our wedding, so we went with it and BOY DID IT EXCEED EXPECTATIONS! We had Mel (Melissa) as our dance coach- she was fabulous! So fun and easy to work with! She was patient with us, had fun with us, an amazing teacher and really felt our song! We did the anti middle school dance package which we loved the name of and it was perfect. We were also a little nervous if you will as neither of us had any dance experience. We wanted an idea of what we were doing, so we werent just saying back and forth, but did not want a super choreographed routine and Mel gave us just that! We had soooo much fun the 5 weeks leading up to our wedding- 1 lesson per week and improved so much! Our dance was exactly what we wanted it to be and our guests loved watching us the day of! We took two wonderful classes with Melissa and we are so happy we did. Our dance was beautiful and so much fun. It was also so fun to practice on our own before the wedding. Shee solidified the basics so we always felt confident and added more complicated moves as we progressed. She understood our strengths and weaknesses and worked with us when we were getting stuck. All in all, I highly recommend Melissa to train you and choreograph your first dance.

My husband and I were searching for dance lessons that would elevate our first dance but also keep the moves realistic for us beginners and let me just say this was the PERFECT way to make it happen. Our instructor was Melissa Aaron and she was phenomenal. Not only was she great with letting us having input and getting to know what we were and were not comfortable with, but she also made every single lesson fun! She was wonderful giving us constructive criticism in order for us to get better but matched that by making us feel like what we were doing was gold! Another thing we loved is that she even made sure to take into account how moves would photograph and man did it pay off- we had some incredible shots! My husband and I had the best experience working with Troy and everyone at Wedding Dance Coach. Troy was so patient with us and really put in the effort to make sure we were comfortable for our first dance. Most importantly, he made it fun! Because of Troy, we’re considering continuing with dance as a fun hobby to do together. My wife, Kelsey, and I were married on Nov. 16th of this year and had been working with Wedding Dance Coach for several months ahead of the big day. We reached out to Elizabeth, who was speedy in her replies, and very knowledgeable. She was very kind and easy to correspond with. She instantly made us feel welcomed and taken care of. Even when we had a small issue- it was immediately rectified with grace and a high-level of customer care and commitment by Elizabeth. She paired us with Dennis originally, who taught us the basic steps to a Boléro and choreographed some sequences for us to our wedding First Dance song, Bloom by The Paper Kites. After 3 sessions, we began working with Troy and his dance partner, Shannon. And we were told that our dance of choice was very ambitious for most couples, but that they were impressed by our skill and retention. (Of course this was incredibly flattering to hear and really pumped us up to keep digging into our lessons and learning!). Troy and Shannon worked together to choreograph our intro and finale, which was incredible! It gave it the WOW-factor. Troy was an excellent lead and a great instructor. He was able to demonstrate Kelseys part for her, and show me what my lead should feel like, while Shannon walked me through my steps. The two of them worked together to smooth out some of our steps, so that they were more fluid and seamless, even giving us styling and flare pointers. They worked to make sure we had musical/lyrical cues for all of our steps so we wouldnt lose track on the day, if we were nervous. After all of the choreography was over, our final session with Troy was assessment and practice. We ran through our routine again and again, making sure that it looked just right. Troy was wonderful to work with and a real pro. In fact - he and Shannon provided such a lovely lesson that my new wife and I want to sign up for additional lessons to learn new dances/steps for future date nights! Melissa was our wedding dance coach and I highly recommend her! She was so amazing and made our experience so special and fun. We took the 7 Class Package, and I got to practice a father daughter dance with her, as well as a bride and groom dance.Every single class was quality time! My father had so much fun and so did my husband - we really enjoyed the process. We never took dance class before and I never thought it would be as fun as Melissa made it. She was so peaceful, it took away a lot of the wedding stress. She literally created our entire dance and whenever we didn’t feel comfortable with a move she would come up with another one on the spot. We were initially hesitant to book dance lessons for our wedding because we wanted to try to save money where we could...however, we are SO happy we booked lessons with Melissa at The Wedding Dance Coach! Our dance lessons ended up being the only part of wedding planning that felt fun and stress free. My husband and I always looked forward to going to our lesson. My husband was initially hesitant because he has no clue how to dance and didn’t want to look too cheesy....Melissa made him feel super comfortable and helped make our dance perfect! I ended up using the last dance lesson as one with my dad which was also really fun. We went into our wedding day confident about our first dance and not worried that we might look silly or awkward. Sina gave us 5 dance lessons for our July 20, 2019 wedding. We chose her because we were able to meet in Longmont and had a horrible experience with 1 lesson in Denver prior with a way less professional teacher.So we came into these lessons nervous from our prior experience (rightfully so). Sina IMMEDIATELY calmed our nerves and was such a professional. She knew the answers to all our questions and choreographed a really sweet dance for us. It was just enough for us to feel fancy and special on our day, but not too fancy for two people that awful dancers. She made us look great and we are so thankful for her lessons!She was always on time, professional, prepared, and super happy. If we ever needed lessons again, we would for sure go to her!

Melissa was the best coach we could have asked for! We had our song selected and she worked with us to come up with a wonderful choreographed dance that sweet and cool and also matched our ability level. We originally got 3 classes but we had so much fun and Melissa was so wonderful that we ended up doing 2 additional classes. Our guests were amazed and loved our dance. We loved working with Elizabeth as our wedding dance coach and could not recommend her more highly! We originally reached out to Elizabeth about doing a fun group dance lesson at our wedding. Although she had never done anything like this before, Elizabeth dove right into it.Elizabeth choreographed and taught three dances – Indian, Country Western, and Hip-Hop. So many of our friends and family raved about how fun the dance lessons were, particularly folks who generally don’t enjoy dancing. It was a great, low-stress way to do a group activity at the reception.Alongside all of this, we decided we wanted to do a first dance. One of us had never done any ballroom dancing, so we knew we needed lessons. With a month to go, Elizabeth was able to squeeze us in for three lessons—two for just us and one for us with our mothers for a mother/son dance.Even in this limited amount of time, Elizabeth choreographed a dance to Elvis’s “I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You” - we were so pleased with the results! Elizabeth has such a wonderful, calming energy and is a methodical teacher, and really focused on our movements to improve our waltz.Elizabeth also was great with our mothers, and particularly with one of our moms who had never really danced before. Without Elizabeth’s help we would not have been able to do a first dance or a mother/son dance, and we’re so grateful that she helped us overcome our fear of trying something new the night of our wedding. My husband and I were gifted two dance classes from our mothers. We booked with Troy who was an absolutely amazing coach, welcoming, friendly, and fun! We had a very limited time before our big day, and he got straight down to business teaching us many basic but beautiful moves that would look impressive. We are so happy out mother’s sent us here because it made our first dance that much more exciting and memorable!

Maren is the best! We had three very different songs that we merged together for our first dance, they each required very different dance styles, and neither of us knew how to dance. In just a few short classes, Maren choreographed a really fun set of dances and steps that even we novices could handle. The best part? Not only did we get tons of compliments on our first dance from the wedding guests, but even the caterers, photographer, and DJ told us it was the best first dance they’d seen. I cannot recommend Maren enough. Plus it was just fun! We’re hoping to go back for more lessons in the future.

We went into the lesson totally scared and feeling awkward, but as soon as we entered the dance studio Elizabeth made all our nerves calm down, and we had such a fun time learning to dance with her. She gave us enough direction so that we felt confident and comfortable, but not too overwhelmed. She let our personalities come through so it didnt seem forced (we are not big dancers), and the dance made for a very memorable moment during our wedding. My now husband went into the lesson thinking it was going to be his worst nightmare, but he ended up loving it just as much as I did (I swear)! Elizabeths talent, great sense of humor, and beautiful studio made everything so easy and perfect, thank you Elizabeth!!

Wedding Dance Coach provided dance lessons at a party that we hosted for couples at the wedding venue that I manage. This was the second year in a row that we had dance lessons from Wedding Dance Coach and both years it was a HUGE hit. Elizabeth did an amazing job keeping the energy up and keeping everyone engaged. We signed up for lessons for our first dance for our wedding two weeks ago and it was amazing! The lessons were fun and made us so much more comfortable dancing in front of so many people! The best place for wedding dance lessons. Elizabeth and Dennis choreographed our dance and we got several compliments. Both of us had no or little experience in dancing but the one on one coaching, attention to the details and elegant moves taught by our coaches made our first dance the highlight of the wedding. We will definitely go back to learn more formats. Both Elizabeth and Dennis are fun, talented, patient and really flexible. You will not regret your decision.

We are very glad we found Elizabeth to be our dance coach for my daughters wedding this past summer. She is a beautiful dancer and as a teacher is very skillful. For a very long time, my husband and I were very afraid to dance together--when we started dating 30 years ago, we always stepped on each others toes. We keep putting off dance lessons until two months before the wedding because we had a lot of anxiety about it. But Elizabeth made learning to dance very easy and interesting, and we learned the father-daughter dance she choreographed for us quickly. (Since our daughter lives in Boston, I had to pretend to be my daughter.) It only took 5 sessions before my husband mastered the whole song dance with some interesting twists. Our daughter flew back to Denver for just one session to learn her part (she has some dance background, so it came more naturally to her). At the wedding, my husband had a wonderful father-daughter dance with her. Most of our guests couldn’t believe my husband just learned to dance through only 5 sessions. We started as two people with ZERO dance experience and ended with “That was the best first dance we’ve ever seen! You guys killed it! That was amazing!”. That came from our wedding DJ who has seen countless number of dances.As a watcher of “So you think you can dance” and “Dancing with the Stars”, I’ve always dreamed of having a beautiful story telling first dance with my future wife. Never did I think that was possible without months of professional dance training. With My Wedding Dance Coach, it was done in 7 lessons!Maren, our dance instructor, was absolutely great. We had an ambitious desire to combine two songs into one dance, a slow romantic one followed by an upbeat fun one. Maren choreographed our dance beautifully as we went taking into account our feedback and input. She was as excited about our dance as we were!The beautiful thing about the dance was that we “messed up” a couple of different times, but no one had any idea. Maren did a great job of prepping us on the adrenaline and nerves that can and will pop up in the moment and we were able to cruise right through them to a beautiful finish.One thing to note when scheduling your dance classes is to make sure to allow room for your own personal practice time! On average we were able to fit in one hour of practice between each hour of lessons, so it’s amazing to see what we were able to accomplish in 14 hrs! Also, I highly recommend you record your lessons so you can reference them later.We loved it so much that we’ll definitely be taking some more lessons in the future just for fun!

​My fiancé had been talking about taking dance lessons for over a year, and with our wedding quickly approaching I am so happy we found Elizabeth. She is such a gem and was able to accommodate our 5 one-hour sessions.
