We are so pleased by and thankful for the experience our son has been given at The Art of Spanish Institute. The staff and customized curriculum at The Art of Spanish Institute are stellar. I am a student here and have been since Nov. of 2020. I am loving the group class that I am in and have learned a ton! My teacher Juan Carlos is great, really helpful and makes class fun. I started as a beginner and already feel I have made a huge improvement in my Spanish speaking level.

Great institute for me as I was trying to pick Spanish back up again. The teachers are very nice and they have a good system down (oral skills, writing skills, and vocab/grammar). My first 8 lessons were extremely easy and didnt feel as worth it as my other lessons because it was all review (present tense regular verbs), but the lessons after that I finally felt like I was learning new things and putting them into practice. They give you access to all the materials online which is super helpful (especially in COVID times!) Keep in mind that you cannot schedule your classes until you pay and all scheduling is done by request via email (there is no visual calendar), so you may have to switch teachers if you work full time and dont have a ton of availability during the day. Even when my teacher switched though, it was a smooth transition! I very much enjoyed these classes and hope to continue! Juan Carlos is an amazing teacher!

I am a current and regular student here, the teachers are kind, caring and overall patient. They reschedule classes if you cant make it and overall a great structure. 100% would recommend for Spanish learning at all levels.

The Art of Spanish Institute has been excellent in helping me learn Spanish. My professor is very patient and has helped me build my speaking and comprehension skills. I started at basically 0 and notice progress every week. The program is also very well planned, providing me practice in class and homework each week. The homework is manageable while still ensuring that Im practicing Spanish outside of the sessions.

The Art of Spanish is a great little school in Capitol Hill and I highly recommend. In the span of about 4 months I definitely noticed my Spanish getting better. As with any language, you have to be willing to put in the work both in and out of class but the class sessions are 100% in Spanish and give students valuable speaking practice. I had the pleasure of working with a couple of the teachers (Cecilia, Leonardo, and Daniela) and they were all great! I was especially impressed with how they pivoted their classes to an online format in such a short time, I felt that I was getting the same experience online as I was in-person.

Individual classes at The Art of Spanish are just what I needed at this stage in my learning of this amazing language. The opportunity to speak and listen for 1-1/2 hours continuously has elevated my fluency and given me the confidence to carry on spontaneous conversations. My 13-year-old son has been taking private, weekly Spanish lessons at the Art of Spanish Institute for more than two years. His experience has been fantastic! He has worked with different teachers over the years, but each of them -- all native speakers -- have been very professional and great at working with him. He has developed his Spanish speaking, comprehension, and writing skills tremendously. One of his teachers even had him exchanging letters with a pen pal in Mexico, which was a lot of fun for my son! We recently traveled to Colombia, where I often relied on my son to communicate on behalf of our family. I had no previous experience with learning Spanish and find that one-on-one classes are the best for me. My teacher is patient and I am excited to learn a new language. We talk weekly on line via Zoom. This is especially important during the time of Covid because it gives me a worthwhile goal for future travel to Mexico.

I spent almost 3 years in both private and group classes at TAOSI. The teaching is very complete and the materials presented are quite comprehensive. The instructors are excellent, and plan on mucho tarea (alot of homework), in grammar, comprehension, and vocabulary. While my understanding and reading of Spanish is much better than my grammar, I feel I have they provided me with a learning opportunity to have formed solid base in the language. At some point, when travel is safe and permitted, I plan to return to Spain and continue my Flamenco guitar studies.Thank you Javier and staff!

I have attended Spanish classes at The Art Institute of Spanish for almost a year now. It has been incredibly helpful in my endeavor to learn Spanish. Everyone at the Institute is very kind and helpful and is always seeking to do the best job. They have been accommodating to all of my schedule needs. My teacher Juan Carlos is not only excellent at speaking and teaching Spanish, my classes with him are one of my favorite parts of the day. It is always enjoyable and never intimidating. I have been taking one-on-one classes at the Art of Spanish Institute for five months. I thoroughly enjoy the learning environment and my very patient teacher, Juan Carlos. Hes the best! I thought about taking Spanish classes for several years and finally committed late last summer. I am so pleased I made the decision to invest in myself and Im enjoying every minute of the learning experience.

I took a week-long immersion class with Cecilia. The course was fantastic, and she is an excellent, patient teacher. There is a huge variety of exercises and activities, switching between listening, watching videos, reading, practicing conversation, and working on grammar and vocabulary. It is a lot of work, and a very tiring week, but also interesting and very valuable. I suggest reviewing verb conjugation ahead of time, so that you are not hit with too much at once. I highly recommend the course and also Cecilia as a teacher.

For about a year, I’ve been meeting once a week with Luis for private lessons. Luis is a great teacher and very dedicated! He has been helpful in including work related topics into our lessons (I work in the mental health field) and my language ability has improved so much! I’ve really enjoyed my classes and my time at The Art of Spanish Institute!

I took classes for several months and progressed through much of the Level 1 book. My previous knowledge of Spanish came from four years in public schools but at The Art of Spanish Institute we quickly surpassed that material in a group class. I’ve been studying with my instructor, Luis, for three months. I take private lessons which are intense and worth every penny. He is patient, kind and motivating. The support staff is helpful and welcoming. Jazmine helped me with a tech issue and Carolina at reception let’s me practice Spanish with her when I come and go. I will be moving to Mexico long term in October and can’t wait to see how far I’ve come.I love the easy vibe of this school and will continue classes.

I have individual lessons with Luis. I enjoy my weekly lessons & my comprehension of spoken Spanish has improved substantially. While the text is a bit dated & better suited to a younger student, it is supplemented with audio & video materials that are more relevant to my daily experiences as an adult. Luis follows the school method and lesson plan while interjecting comments and questions about subjects of interest to me to keep me engaged.

The classes are fun and interactive. The combination of textbooks, practice and real life example makes for a very interesting learning experience. I truly felt like Ive learned a lot in a relatively short period of time. The only thing that could be changed is the alignment of material to our group. Its geared towards high school/early college individuals, and we are working professionals and a lot of examples were not relevant.

I have been an Art of Spanish Institute student for several months. I had always wanted to learn to speak Spanish and had tried on a couple previous occasions to learn the language. However, I did not advance as I had hoped and felt a group setting diminished my ability to learn. I found myself with free time this spring and decided to pursue my goal of Spanish language acquisition. After quite a bit of research and a one-on-one meeting with Javier, I decided that the instruction offered at The Art of Spanish Institute was best suited to my ideal and goal. I have been very happy with the results. After only 5 months, I feel that I have a better understanding of the language than at any previous time. The pace is set by my ability to comprehend the information, and the instruction and materials are varied and encompass speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension. Since I meet with Javier in one-on-one sessions, he is able to correct my errors and provide extra instruction on topics that are challenging to me rather than spreading his attention over a group of students. In every class, we spend a portion of the class in conversation which allows practice with concepts and words. Javier is always supportive, encouraging, and realistic about my progress, pointing out my accomplishments when Im having a tough day. I am very happy with my progress and the program, and plan to continue my language acquisition with The Art of Spanish Institute for a long time to come.

I have been taking individual lessons at ‘The Art of Spanish’ since June of this year and I am delighted with the setting, the owner, my instructor, and my progress. Quite simply, The Art of Spanish Institute does everything right from setting to staff. But first and foremost, the teaching style and system are perfect. Being almost fully immersed in Spanish from the first moment of instruction gently forces you to start listening and interpreting, gleaning as much as you can as you move forward with extremely positive reinforcement, gentle guidance, laughter (lots of laughter) and the knowledge after each class that you are gaining more and more comprehension and less apprehension. It is important to me that my two daughters (ages 9 & 11) learn Spanish, and what they were learning in school wasnt at the level that I wanted. I turned to Javier and couldnt be happier. After a full day of school, my girls are actually looking forward to spending 1 1/2 hours studying Spanish! Javier makes learning fun for them. I am really pleased with their learning process and the patience, skills, and presentations of the instructors. The lessons go by very quickly and even though I feel totally wiped out at the conclusion of the session, I know that I have absorbed that days experience. I’ve been taking classes for six weeks and am impressed with how much I’ve learned. They instruct in Spanish and I didn’t know anything when I started. I’m amazed at how well I understand things now. My school district offered Spanish classes for the staff, which I was really excited about. As a language teacher, I was super excited to learn Spanish. Well, the teacher had absolutely no idea what he was doing. I think his only qualification was that he speaks Spanish. He just went through the textbook bit by bit and it was awful. I stopped going. To teach a language, you need more than just knowledge of the language, you have to know how to teach.

I have been studying with Javier for over a year in one on one sessions. I have studied in 3 other schools in the past and always hit a wall. This time around with Javier I have progressed farther than I ever had in the past. He is always upbeat upon arrival, enthusiastic to to teach his native tongue and finds humor along the way. Ive been at the school for four months in the High Beginner class and Ive throughly enjoyed myself. The teacher makes all the difference and I feel our teacher is extremely precise about our pronunciation and Ive grown a ton in my speech since starting here. I also appreciate that we are strongly encouraged to speak only Spanish while in the class and even if we decide to have short side conversations, we speak in Spanish. I have been studying Spanish for many years and have had a number of teachers and learning experiences but Javier is by far the best teacher I have had. The class includes a lot of fun conversation which is an area that I was lacking. It also includes grammar, vocabulary, listening to podcasts in Spanish and reading. I really like the way we go over material in class to make sure it is understood and then as homework we repeat it by doing it ourselves. At the next class the homework is thoroughly checked and if I have questions Javier explains them. I can’t say enough about how enjoyable Javier makes learning Spanish!

I am enjoying learning Spanish from The Art of Spanish Institute. This is my first attempt to learn Spanish and Im finding the classes to be enjoyable yet challenging. We speak only in Spanish during class; its a lot of fun. Everybody makes mistakes and learns as we go. I have taken group classes and am now trying private lessons to accelerate the pace. Definitely recommend Art of Spanish Institute. My instructor Javier is fun, supportive and a skilled teacher that leads a challenging class. Students definitely need to put in some time outside of class, but Javier creates an easy program of writing, listening and speaking to follow outside of class so students become accustomed to the language and improve quickly.

I have been taking a Beginners class with Rosa for the past 6 weeks and it has been terrific. Rosa is a wonderful teacher, keeping the class fast paced, but also taking the time to help each person. She creates a fun learning environment for everyone. In fact, our class decided they want to take a trip together to a Spanish speaking country!! Im amazed how much Ive learned in a very short time period thanks to Rosa. The new office and its free parking have also been a major plus.

I have been taking Spanish classes from Carmen at The Art of Spanish Institute for about a month now. Group classes are small and you learn a lot. Classes are twice a week for an hour and a half, they are fun and you really learn a lot! If you want to learn Spanish definitely look into The Art of Spanish Institute. I learned so much in the short period of time (one month) I had the class! Javier is an excellent teacher! I highly recommend The Art of Spanish!! Very pleasant atmosphere as well.

I want to start off by saying that these classes and the Art of Spanish Institute was the highlight of my summer. I came in with very basic Spanish and really not understanding the rules of the language. I was only able to take classes for about three months because I moved out of the area but in that short time I learned SO MUCH. My confidence in the language, my understanding of conjugating, use of accents, etc., all grew so much. I took private classes and to be able to speak and think in Spanish for those 1 1/2 hour classes twice a week was seriously so amazing. I learned so much and my brain really got to working. Javier and his team of teachers are all really amazing, hard working, kind and patient people. I can not recommend these classes enough. I had tried online apps and all that but nothing compares to sitting down and having long conversations with a fluent Spanish speaker.

Im completely enjoying my experience learning spanish with the Art of Spanish Institute. I compared a couple options, met with Javier and toured the facility before committing to work with them - they have a comprehensive, professional program. Its a great match with my goal to develop a deep facility with the language supporting my professional development as a school teacher and ski instructor. My maestra Cristina is patient, supportive, intelligent, well organized and fun. My lessons are densely packed, and my homework combines reading, writing, listening and speaking perfectly. Im about 5 months along, and I am rapidly developing into a confident, conversant spanish speaker.

I am a drop out of a different Spanish school in Denver and could not be happier at the Art of Spanish. I have been a teacher for my entire career so can be fairly picky (and critical). From the moment I walked in to the office (and every time I go) I am greeted warmly and personally. The instructor is very well prepared and the best part has been sitting in class with a delightful group of folks. We are learning thru laughter. Yes, the it is an immersive experience but our instructor also knows when to clarify in English if needed. Sure, the material (textbook and recordings) are a bit dated but that adds to our laughter....and we are all learning with this 360 approach. Expect homework and memorization challenges, but the sky does not fall in if life gets in the way and you cant get it done. Mucho gracias a Javier for creating such a supportive community!!

For those who seriously want to learn Spanish, you shouldnt go anywhere else. Javier is professional, organized, serious about teaching his students Spanish but still makes it fun. Going to my class is one of the highlights of my week!

My husband and I have each been taking private lessons with Javier for almost 4 months. We had talked about taking Spanish lessons for years, and a friend recommended Javier when we were ready to be serious about this endeavor. It has been such an exciting experience, and Javier has been very supportive of a new student such as I am. His combination of listening, speaking, reading and writing, together with a focus on intensive vocabulary building, has been very effective for me. I have been taking Private Spanish Classes with Javier Morganti for a little over a year now. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this Institute. I am an advanced student, and was worried that the curriculum of the school would not challenge me, but I was wrong! I have re-learned grammatical concepts in ways that I was never taught in high school or college. I was confident with my skills before beginning my classes, but I can honestly say that since taking classes with Javier, I have been able to understand not only how to properly construct sentences, but why I am doing so, which has made speaking and listening so much more relevant and retainable. I love that although it is a small Institute, there are plenty of outside resources for practice, and often times classwork involves audio lessons, or fun fables that you as the student get to elect.On top of the effective curriculum and methodology, I appreciate the care and effort that Javier takes to make the school a comfortable and inviting place for his students. With tuition, I was provided with my own personal book bag that contained all the materials I needed, including pens, notecards, and the textbook. The snack bar is always fully stocked with coffee, La Criox, bars, nuts, and more. My emails and calls are answered immediately, and because I am taking private classes, I can work around my busy schedule. I highly recommend The Art of Spanish Institute LLC. It will give you the rigor and curriculum you desire, but the attention and care of a small, locally owned Institute.

Javier squared (the 2 Javiers) and Zelma are like family! I was born and raised in a Spanish speaking household.. as such it was very important for my parents that I understood English.. this led me to learn English my whole life and just learn Spanish on the sidelines. After college I started travelling the world... 49 states and 110 countries later I found that everywhere I went my Spanish was lacking and los hispanohalblantes were speaking beautiful Spanish. I decided 7 years ago to start a self study. Whilst this definitely improved my Spanish, not until I started Javiers school two months ago did my Spanish improve exponentially. I know what your thinking, how could this happen? Immediately they have you listen to conversations and then repeat the conversation back. Entonces, solo Espanol es permitido en las clases... at first I was terrified and then I wished I had enrolled years ago. Zelma is the grammar Nazi and exactly what I needed, she rocks! I cant state enough how much I look forward to attending class. If I wasnt travelling all the time for work I would be at The Art of Spanish Institute 2-3 days a week.

I have been attending the intermediate beginners class twice a week for two months. Rosa esta una buena maestra y las clases son divertida! - ( I hope that is correct! ) I had studied Spanish previously but needed a refresher and these classes have been perfect for that. Ive found that my confidence to speak Spanish has improved. and i am getting better at understanding the spoken word. The other students are all in the same boat, friendly and interactive.

Ive been an intermediate level Spanish speaker/student for years but have not been able to become truly proficient. I found The Art of Spanish, met with Javier Morganti and decided to proceed with classes. That was 4 months ago and I am so happy with the progress Ive made. Ive taken lots of classes, worked with other teachers, and tried Rosetta Stone but nothing has been as effective as the classes Ive taken from Javier. He is truly an excellent teacher. In class we speak, write and read spanish. The text books we use are excellent and the homework assignments help reinforce what I learn in class. There area also excellent online tools available to students on his website. I understand so much more spanish now and am speaking more like a native speaker. Classes with Javier are fun and he teaches the language in a very natural way. This is the place to go if you really want to learn spanish.

Hola! Learning a 2nd language can be crazy difficult and for this reason I thought that mi espouso and I would have given up by now. However, our Tuesday espanol class at Art of Spanish has become a highlight of our week. I think this is because we are taking private lessons which is a great way to go, and, because our maestra, Rosa makes the classes fun.

I had a fantastic immersion experience with Rosa for 3 days, and I hope to return for another class whenever I make it back to Denver! Gracias, hermana!!!!
