I highly, highly recommend the Denver String Academy as an option for all adult learners!I started learning the cello completely from scratch and Lindsay has been a wonderfully fun and effective teacher. Its always intimidating to start something like this when you also have a nine to five and other commitments, but Lindsay was always flexible. She taught me how to take care of my instrument and took me from an absolute novice to someone that can proudly play some classic pieces Ive always loved. She also connected her other adult learners together more than once, an opportunity I was very grateful for.If youre at all tentative to learn a new instrument because of imagined cost or time commitments, I highly recommend giving the Denver String Academy a chance. Lindsay makes everything pain-free and very enjoyable (most impressively moving past some of the frustrations, like wanting to throw my metronome out of a window).
