The whole DPS system is HORRIBLE. I really wish there was just another district in the area to be honest. By the way if your middle school kid lives 2.8 miles from the school(NO MATTER THE AGE), There is no bus for them. Nope its a 42-43 minute walk to and from school. So 2 hours daily for my 11 year old( which I dont feel safe with at all)or $10 in gas everyday just to make sure my child gets to school. No exceptions either. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS BEFORE. The walk zone policy is really weird.

Tay Anderson is a disgrace to the entire Denver Community as well as the students in DPS. We have recalled, demanded resignation and spoke publicly about elected officials on more than one level. Tay....have some dignity and get the heck out! you dont belong in that capacity or in any capacity around minor children or our proud youth of Denver. You will never hold this sort of position again as long as Denver voters of all races and cultures vote....Its time you leave!

The school has a lot of kids but the staff and teachers do an amazing job with the resources they have. They are inclusive and diverse and help strengthen our neighborhood community.

The new flipped board has no plan, the school union is complicit in supporting candidates with little or no experience and it shows.

All three kids in my family attended DPS, made life-long friends, met exciting challenges and opportunities, and in the end, all three were accepted to Ivy League colleges. A public education is what you make of it. Don’t deprive the public system of your wonderful children because of bad reviews on google. Invest in the system and we all reap the rewards.

Providing juice instead of a fruit spikes the kids blood sugar, especially along with sugary/starchy foods like cinnamon rolls! This is antiquated nutrition that is NOT good for kids whose blood sugar will shoot up, then drop to levels where they can’t think. Please improve your excellent work with real foods for breakfast. Thank you very much!

There is is 6 inches of snow on the ground and on my way to school I saw 3 optional accidents on a 8 block drive and DPS decides that it is safe to come to school. Where the hell is common sense.

I hate on how they are so inconsiderate of Parents and children to take them to and from school in this time of weather with slippery roads and the amount of traffic there is in Denver. So if DPS can please be thoughtful of parents commutes to drop off and pick our children in this weather.

Just plain out HORRIBLE not only has this district Caused and ALLOWED mistreatment of their students but also HIRED A CHEERLEADING COACH THAT PHYSICALLY HURT A FRESHMAN GIRL Your district Caused a student To be put into physical therapy which is horrible she may never cheer again and suffer from the mental pain for the rest of her life! DPS has treated me and my family badly ever since I was enrolled into their schooling system. Thus, zero stars are deserved for a rating.

Attending DPS has been one of the worst experiences of my life, I cannot believe that a district like this has functioned for as long as it has. Me and Kaden both agree that this is the worst district ever and should be dismantled and left for the students to govern for themselves.

The person who runs this place should be in a mental hospital all year long we prepare for testing we don’t learn anything also they don’t look at there window when it snows because we have had a blizzard 4 times this year and 1 snow day don’t send your kids to this horrific school system trust me I used to love school now I hate it and sometimes I have nightmares.

I live FAR away from Denver and they keep sending me automated phone calls ever since I had this number. I block and report it but they call from somewhere else. Im a 20 year old college student never lived in Colorado.Obviously need to check their records.This could become a harassment offense.

I am in 4th grade at Sabin World elementary and since I am more advanced, so I learn more they give me and other more advanced students a challenging paper so that we are challenged

The kids at the Paradice Island pool for summer camp with Discovery Link were very rude and disrespectful. They were slpashing my 3 year old brother in the pool. Also, the staff werent supervising the kids and were sitting in the shade the whole time.

The focus is only academic.They do not handle the tools adequately in conflitos, in the main office they personalize the conflicts of the students, lack of objectivity. Unprofessional Little seriousness: they manage speeches in their favor, they deceive the parents. They do not respond to the requirements in a timely manner, more reactivity than proactivity.Disciplinary schemes, without legal bases, severe, extreme, without consulting psychologists or social workers, erratic with a tendency to run over the human rights of children, abuse of children, lack of structure for supervision. Lack of training, ignorance in the management of the needs of children gifted and talentedThey do not handle equity, equality, tendency to discrimination.

End up having lots of incidents

DPS is far too liberal. Ive been going my whole life and basically everything is based on not offending anyone, everything has to be FAIR. When these kids get in the real world they are going to see that life isnt fair and it is going to suck for them.

We had a great experience with Steck Elementary. Its an exceptional education!

School system is filled with overpaid administrators. They disrespect their teachers and treat them as commodities. They claim to respect diversity, but will treat minority teachers as expendable. If you say out anything, they will get rid of you. Unprofessional, unethical, and possibly illegal practices, but they have lawyers and insurance, so they could care less. DPS is the reason people have no faith in public schools anymore. They punish effective teachers and continue to make more failing schools, and put students last

1 in 5 black students will graduate, Black students are over represented in SPED, suspensions, and expulsions. There is a new “equity committee” every couple of years but all have failed to address the systemic racism in DPS. Google the statistics around children of color in DPS

This School DIstrict is the worst i was here as a former student at hamilton this district doesnt even have proper organization i went to hamiltion which was in this district and also my brother went to joe shoemaker school in this district and he left that school because his teacher was fighting off cancer and i also heard on the news a bo at joe shoemaker actually killed himself because he was being bullied this districted is unorganized and unprofessional i think cherry creek schools is better so i would reccomend you going to cherry creek schools that is a better district

Urban district with a focus on providing equitable experiences for students of various backgrounds. I have taught and led in DPS and I am incredibly proud of the work that we do for our students and families.

The automatic assuming that everyone speaks Spanish and getting emails when you are non-speaking Hispanic family this is one of the worst districts that Ive ever had to deal with the lack of compassion and Care is greatly noticed

I was an educator in MD for 9 years and was nominated for numerous teaching awards before working at DPS. I never felt so disrespected and under valued than I did by my fellow teachers and Admin when working at DPS Swigert International.

They have very poor communication and it seems the only goal s to ruin a students record early. The principal HUNG UP on me mid conversation! rude, unprofessional!
