Great program, there is a skill set kids have to master and then get to advance levels. My kids love getting ribbons each time they move up. So much flexibility in class scheduling and times.

Moe, our sons instructor, has been wonderful. He went from not wanting to even get in the pool or getting his head wet to doing these things without hesitation in just the first couple of sessions! His confidence has skyrocketed and theres not a doubt in our minds that its due to Moes skill as an instructor and the care she provides our son. Shes so patient and provides such a safe and caring environment which is so important when trying to teach a child who has never had any formal lesson in swimming. Our son looks forward to his lesson every week and we look forward to watching the progress he makes. Thank you for helping our son get closer to our goal for him which is learning the basics of water safety and building confidence.

4 kids per lane / 20 minute lessons = no more than 5 minutes of hands on in water experience. Our kid hasnt drowned, so an extra star earned for that!A really nice systemic method of swim instruction is a very safe environment. As best I can tell, methods for recording progression do not exist so watch the progress yourself and suggest when its time to advance. Purchased some family time to have 1/2 the pool to ourselves and had a great time. Staff are courteous and very professional with every interaction.

Was turned onto this by my daughter’s grandparents. As someone who had experience in teacher swimming back in my high school days, these guys are right on task, doing the same lessons in the same order I taught but with better equipment (hurray for capitalism over public schools). While I noticed a review or two talking about “disorganization” and “too many students,” this is light compared to the six to ten per instructor we dealt with and is fast compared to the old check in we dealt with, so I find no problems. You want “better,” teach your kid yourselves. I would if I wasn’t recovering from surgery.

Beautiful facility, with high cleanliness standards. Front desk staff always responsive, cheerful and helpful. Coaches are great; engaging, encouraging, patient. Practice-practice-practicing with the kids until the muscle memory develops. My son loves the pool and is confident in the water, thanks to the skills he learned at Goldfish.

I really love how friendly the staff is and how they respond to questions or concerns very quickly via email or by phone. I would and have recommended Goldfish to a couple friends that have enrolled their children also and love it. The only small problem is I feel the one parent/guardian per student needs to be enforced more. There has been a few occasions when I brought my daughter in to swim that families have brought in more then just one parent making it a little hard to get a seat or the ability to see my daughter swim without having to let the family know that they are blocking the view.

I called Goldfish Swim School at the beginning of the summer, desperate. My 6 yr old missed out on swimming lessons last year because of the pandemic and she needed help and fast. She refused to put her head under water or try anything we showed her so she was destined to stay in the shallow end all summer, while all her friends played in the deep end. Sara told me about the Jump Start Clinic, which sounded perfect. It was pricey, so I was a little hesitant given 6s resistance, but Sara assured me they would work with me if 6 didnt make any progress. At the end of the week, it wasnt looking good. 6 did everything required of her during class, but still refused to put her head underwater at the neighborhood pool. But the next week, something clicked. And she began practicing what shed learned. I signed her up for weekly classes. After only two more classes, she is already a hundred times more confident in the water. In fact, yesterday she learned to somersault. Its hard to believe that just five weeks ago, she was refusing to put her head underwater. Goldfish is pricey, but worth every penny for kids who need a little extra assistance learning to swim.

If I could put zero stars I would. I visited this place in the beginning of June of 2021. This place is so disorganized. Once my baby and I arrived, we weren’t even greeted at the entrance. We walked up to the front desk and ask about the class and they just gave us a brief explanation on what time the class started and where to go. Once my baby and I finally got in the water it was just him and I. The instructor didn’t show any sympathy, wasn’t giving us any instructions or what to do. For the 30 minutes of the class we were just standing there in the water. Finally after the class, we proceed to the changing rooms. The changing rooms were so dirty and small. Finally, we walked up to the front desk and told them we had to pay for that one class, the receptionist insisted into paying for a monthly class. We explained about the situation and how we didn’t like the class or coordination. The receptionist got upset and cut me off in the middle of my sentence and then she proceeded to charge me for that one single class. As I was told prior to going to the class, that it will be only $30.00 for my baby to try it out. Later then after I received a receipt of $55.00. I called and no one answered me. Till this day I’ve been trying to reach out to them for an explanation, unlucky I haven’t received a response. Due to this I’m explaining my situation and leaving my review of his awful place.

At this point weve only taken our first lesson, but weve been impressed with the facility. Parents get to hang out for the half-hour lesson on the other side of a glass window so kiddos get the opportunity to see that their parents are still here supporting them. There is a small shop, candy, plenty of changing rooms and driers. There is no free swim area that is open all the time, but they do have a couple free swim intervals per week.

Having such low ratios allows more one on one time. Mia absolutely hated being on her back in the water, and now she is doing great! Lilly says she loved floating on her back as well. They give me tips on what needs work, and they are very patient with the children. My husband likes the fact he doesnt have to go in the water (he doesnt like swimming) so we all enjoy it 😁

I have always loved Goldfish! As a former swim instructor, I have always said that they had it figured out - great class sizes, different levels, ribbons, weekly prizes, gender neutral changing rooms, warm pool, and ledge for kids to sit on. Amazing! Now I am a nurse and I appreciate all the attention to detail they are offering for our safety. I will be honest - I was heartbroken at the idea of maybe having to cancel our membership with covid cases increasing. However - they have everyones safety in mind! Sanitizer, face shield for instructors, social distancing in lobby, and now they have dividers between the kids! The kids that are waiting for their turn are not breathing on each other - there is a partition. Genius! I can not thank them enough! I now feel like I do not have to choose between safety and the physical/emotion health of my son (especially as things get colder and there are less options for physical activity!). THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

I spoke to the owner Amy this morning about a certain situation and she was awesome I wouldnt take my grandkids anywhere else!

I have used other swimming schools before and this one is by far the best.

The infant class I had my daughter in lost its regular instructor. Since then weve had a different instructor each week. Some of the instructors were really good; most were mediocre at best. The class follows the exact same format and is nothing you couldnt do on your own at the rec center. Also, their missed class and cancellation policy is unnecessarily onerous.

Goldfish Swim School is a wonderful place for swim lessons! I wish it had been around when my kids were younger, but so happy to have it in our neighborhood now.My daughter has been on a swim team for the last 3 summers but needed some work on refining her strokes, learning flip turns and just making her strokes more efficient overall. The student to teacher ratio is low and the instructors are in the water with the kids helping them the whole time. She has improved so much in the two months weve been here!

We have been using our local rec center the past couple years. We know our oldest has been ready to move on to something more challenging and structured but were unimpressed with the swim schools in the area. We were super excited to have Goldfish Swim School open up so close to us. Our son is already advancing after 4 lessons, and our daughter is more comfortable in the water. The instructors are knowledgeable, professional and the kids receive a good balance of fun and structure. The staff and owners are extremely welcoming and helpful. We feel like family there. ❤

My response to the owner:The number you provided is the number I called. You just made up my mind to not send either of my children there. Although I appreciate that you took the time to respond, your response doesnt offer any sort of apology or attempt to better train your staff. When a parent calls to enroll their child, information should be given freely. In a society where people have an abundance of options, your staff should be trained to make people feel comfortable and want to send their child there. We really wanted to try Goldfish for our daughter but when I asked about their program the woman on the phone told me the price and the name of the class and thats it. I continued to try to get information from her but it was like pulling teeth and when our call was over I still dont feel like I know anything about their program or pool. This location is closer to us but I guess well stick with the place we currently take our son to.

We signed up right after they opened and my son really enjoyed the classes. However, there has been ALOT of turnover and there are some great instructors and some that arent worth paying for at all (honestly). My 11 months old has been going there for water safety skills for more than a month now. We love that the location is convenient within biking/walking distance. Staff are friendly and attentive to your needs, swim instructor my baby has is friendly and nice. Im giving a 3* because of the rescheduling policy. Called in to cx and tried to reschedule a lesson for the first time, and was told that I could not rescheduled until after the scheduled lesson took place, even 1 min after is fine. Even though I was trying to reschedule for a date after the scheduled lesson, but couldnt. For my family, who runs on activities around another kid and husbands working schedule. Id love to have it on my calendar to plan my week out as far I can, but its not possible with this place. There might be reasons behind this policy, but Im not a fan.

Great place to bring your kids. My daughter loves Marcellus. He pushes her to swim on her own. My daughter was very afraid of water, & he taught her technique to feel more comfortable. The reason why I am giving it 3 stars, is because the amount I pay a month, for 30 mins lesson with 3 or 4 kids in her swim class. So there not much one on one hands on. She goes on wed & thur evenings. I feel like, there should be a options on a private lesson, one on one, for 30 mins.

My children have been swimming at Goldfish for over a year and a half and have not progressed at all. My son’s teacher always seems to be upset and my son comes home telling me that his teacher always gets upset when he struggles in his class. My daughter is only 3 and cries when she gets in the pool and her teacher seems very frustrated and just lets her sit out and doesn’t try to reassure her. One time she almost threw up because she was crying so much but her teacher seemed indifferent about it. This makes me want to withdraw them and find a different school for them to swim at because I feel like they aren’t supported here. If I could leave zero stars, I would. But since I can’t, one star will have to suffice.

Called in the morning a few hours before my sons swim class to reschedule due to a family circumstance that had come up. I was told to call back even if it was just a minute after my sont scheduled time and that they could reschedule at that point. Well, I called back at 1:30 (they close at 4) and called back 3 times before they closed leaving voicemails. Just doing as I was told to do, and call back, and nobody could pick up or answer. The only reason there are three stars on this review is because the swim coach my son sees is very nice and good with the kids and super good at teaching young children to swim. But their office crew... is another story.
