Everyone at the ballroom is friendly and welcoming. Everyone remembers their first times dancing so everyone understands what its like those first few lessons. The instructors are fun and very skilled. Even if you do not come with a partner you will get a lot of dance/practice time in. They have a practice party on Friday nights where everyone is welcome even if you dont attend classes. People can practice what they know and even learn a new step or two as well. Everyone on Friday just comes because they enjoy dancing and socializing. Its a great place to meet new friends and practice dancing.

Went last night. First time. Great time. Instructors were very skilled, helpful, and fun. About 25 people showed up. All had fun. More girls than guys, but everyone got plenty of dance time.Would love to go every week.

The DSM Ballroom is a great place for any level of dancing. Come on Friday night to see people dance all the different types, come during the week to learn in a group class, or set up a private lesson. Its a very welcoming atmosphere!
