I am so impressed with this daycare we came from another daycare and this one is a night and day difference. I love all the staff and teachers my daughter has made leaps and bounds academically and emotionally there. So sad she will Be off to kindergarten this fall and I won’t be seeing all of their faces daily 😥 I highly recommend this daycare to anyone ❤️❤️❤️

My daughter goes to Lil Scholars and we love it! All of the teachers are excellent! Ms. Betty is especially great! She has been really helpful with the process of introducing solids, and it’s clear that she really cares about all the infants. My daughter loves being there with Ms. Betty and the other amazing teachers. I also love the app that Lil Scholars uses to keep me updated on what’s going on during the day. The location is very convenient and they have a nice enclosed garage for drop-off and an outdoor area for the kids to play in when the weather is nice. Thank you Ms. Betty, Ms. Tiara, Ms. Jacque, Ms. Jenny, Ms. Kim, Ms. Jenna, and everyone else!

I love Lil Scholars Too! Any questions or concerns I have had were taken very seriously and were answered with a genuine concern to make things better and improve the center and the care that is given there. My daughter is very happy and the teachers are all great. I know that my child is in good hands when she gets dropped off every day. I have and will continue to recommend this center to anyone looking for a daycare!

My 2 year old has been going to Lil scholars for just over a month and we couldn’t be happier! He has felt comfortable at drop off since the beginning, which is a huge change from our previous day care. The fact that he doesn’t cry and cling to me as before speaks volumes. As I walk him to class, we are welcomed by smiling staff members (from front desk staff to cleaning crew) who have all learned his name. My son comes home singing new songs and talks about all the fun he has with his friends and teachers. The teachers in room 103 are wonderful. We love all of them especially Ms. Rose. She has been so outgoing, friendly, attentive and nurturing with my son. My son hugged her on the first day, which is not typical- he usually takes some time to warm up and feel comfortable with new people. She has always made sure that I felt comfortable as a parent and provides detailed updates. I highly recommend Lil scholars to anyone looking for a loving, educational, structured and fun environment for your child to thrive!!

Our 3yr old loves the teachers of room 301. She has unique and positive relationships with all of her teachers (Miss Cassie, Miss Tina, Miss Christina, and Mr Derek) and also loves soccer and Spanish with Mr. Ignacio. She always has a big smile and a lot of interesting things to talk about at the end of the day. Thank you all for everything you do!

We have had a wonderful experience with Lil Scholars preschool program. Our second child is currently in the program, and he is excited to go to school each day. In just a few weeks, Ive seen a huge change in his ability to hold a pencil, trace lines, and he is already starting to write his name independently. It is easy to talk to him about the things he is learning because his teacher sends home messages almost daily to let us know what they are focusing on. We also frequently receive pictures that show the highlights of my sons day.

Weve had both of our children at Lil Scholars for a year now and are very happy. Coming from an in-home child care setting I was nervous about the change, but my expectations have been exceeded. Every person you encounter is extremely friendly and the teachers are all so loving and great about providing updates throughout the day. My daughter is off to kindergarten next year and I know she will miss Lil Scholars.

We have found so many wonderful teachers at Lil Scholars. Miss Jamie had both of our children and is very nurturing and wonderful for this kids. This year our two year old has Melissa, Gio, and Tori. They are all so wonderful to her. She has thrived and is doing well with potty training because of them. They clearly love her. Our four year old this year has Kayla as a lead teacher. She is a wonderful teacher who is dedicated to the curriculum and learning as well as helping the children to be creative and curious. She has helped our son develop independence and learn a ton. He has also had Tina for two years and she is great with the kids and very fun. He also has Lyric and Ben who are so fun and have so much energy for the children to play and be entertained all day.

This is the first experience I have had with sending my child to any form of preschool of childcare. The staff has worked well with helping my son and myself adjust to new settings. The teachers are great. They send me photo updates almost daily as well as update me if my son ate his snack, used the restroom, or participates in the activities. If I ever have an issue I feel comfortable with the staff to be able to address it and comfortable enough to know that his teachers will handle it.

We have had children at Lil Scholars since 2012. We have been very happy with the care and education our girls have received. Lil Scholars has an academic focus. My oldest was reading well before she went to kindergarten, and her younger sister seems on the same track. The staff is incredibly caring and talented. I would recommend Lil Scholars to anyone.

A daycare is only as good as its staff and Lil Scholars downtown has so many wonderful people working there. We have been very pleased since we switched to Lil Scholars 3 years ago. Management is always on top of things and I can tell their hearts are invested in what they do.Ms. Cassie is very dedicated and makes learning fun for my 4-year old. Ms. Tina is great with the kids and always welcoming, and my son now knows more Spanish than I do thanks to Mr. Ignaccio!I know my one-year old is getting the best care. She loves to give her teachers, Ms. Rose and Ms. Eugenia, big hugs in the morning. It makes dropping my kids off much easier knowing they are in good hands.

We just started sending our kids to Lil Scholars Too a few months ago. We were very nervous about the transition from an in-home nanny to daycare. The kids new teachers have been very understanding and patient with the kids transition. I love the daily updates of photos, and task updates on the parent app. I also love all the art projects the kids do. The hours of operation are reasonable for parents that work traditional work day hours. The classroom teachers truly care about the well-being of my children, and they have so much fun at school.

Lil Scholars is great. My infant just started over a month ago and the staff at Lil Scholars has been great. I can tell my son has already formed an attachment to Ms. Jacque, especially, as he greets her every morning with smiles! As a new mom, it’s so comforting knowing that he loves his teachers.

Excellent experience! As a result of her experience at Lil Scholars, my daughter is reading at nearly a 1st grade level and completely ready for kindergarten. Cant say enough about the great teachers and staff. Everyone seems very engaged and committed towards offering a high quality learning experience built around fun. LOVED the staff and very sad to leave this fall. We will place other children into program. Highly recommend!

We absolutely love Lil Scholars. Ava has been there since she was 2 and has grown up so much! Ms. Brenda, Mr. Adam, and Ms. Kristen are wonderful and patient with our very strong-willed Type A personality child. Everyone there is very nice and caring. We just started sending our baby boy there a few months ago. We moved him from a different center and are so glad we did. Ms. Raven in the infant room takes the time to get to know each baby personally. We really appreciate the way she adapts to your schedule and does what she can to keep it consistent.

Our daughter loves coming to school at Lil Scholars! She has grown by leaps and bounds academically, thanks to the attention and teaching excellence of Ms. Abbie and Ms. Katie. We are so thankful for the time and care these accomplished women take with our childs learning environment and social development.

My son is currently enrolled here and has benefited very much from the experience. He is 4.5 yrs old and is already starting to read. His teacher, Kayla, gets him better than most people do and it has been excellent for him. I cant thank her enough for her help.

We toured all the top preschool/daycares in town and landed on Lil Scholars. All three of our kids currently attend and Ms. Amber has had all of children in her class. Ms. Amber continually exceeds our expectations for teaching our children. I highly recommend Lil Scholars to anyone looking for a top notch preschool and daycare.

My 2 year old son has been going here for 2 months and I couldnt be happier! He comes home singing new songs and is just so happy! One day on our way home he started counting saying 17,18,19,20...I had no clue he could count past 10!!! The staff is amazing!!!! When we come and go everyone we run into says hi and is always smiling...this was a big change from our previous daycare! Im so impressed and couldnt be happier with Lil Scholars!

My son has learned so many new things in the first month he has been there! I cant wait to see what the rest of the year holds. The teachers are very informative and the learning experience has a lot to do with their academic structured classrooms. I can go on and on. We just switched from an in-home to Lil Scholars Too this year and are AMAZED at how our daughter has blossomed. She comes home every day with a new song, or pattern, or game and shes only 2! The owner is a wonderful woman who is truly caring of all childrens education. Our teacher is a mother, a teacher, and apparently my daughters new best friend. We are paying a bit more than we might in other places but are SOOO happy with her care and education. This is not a daycare, the want your kiddo to learn and grow. They love on and care for your babies but they also help them grow and little people and we have only wonderful things to say. We are so glad we made the switch!

My son started at lil scholars right before he turned two, a little over a year ago. Honestly, I wouldnt ever consider moving him. The staff are always smiling and youre made to feel welcome from the moment you step off the elevator in the morning from all of the staff greeting you and your child by name... you can tell that everyone really cares for each and every child and enjoy what they do.

We have been SO HAPPY at Lil Scholars! I appreciate how Laura personally and warmly welcomes my daughter each morning, how Crystal loves my girl as her own, how Aubrie is so positive and how Gio provides warm stability even as a floater. Thank you for all you do!

My oldest refers to the school as the mean school and from a 3 year old I think that says everything. We loved our teachers in the infant and 2 year old room. My eldest was moved to a 3 year old room at about 2 1/2 and expected to have the attention span and behavior of 4 year old. The directors response to our concern was to label my kid as having behavior issues, cuss in front of my girls and then cry. Very glad we left.

We absolutely LOVE Lil Scholars too!!! Our son started a month ago and already I can tell how much hes learning! The teachers are fabulous and all of the staff treats you as if youre a member of their family!

We needed to switch daycare providers because our in-home daycare provider unexpectedly notified us she was going to close towards the end of September. Our daughter had went to the in-home for almost 3 years, so we knew it wasnt going to be an easy transition BUT Lil Scholars has been great. My daughters teachers would offer to snuggle with her in the morning when I dropped her off which showed me they truly care about the kids. My little girl has been doing so well in the last 3 weeks that shes been at Lil Scholars and thanks to Ms. Cassie, Ms. Christina and Ms. Tina, the transition has went very well. Its hard to go from someone youve known for almost 3 years who absolutely loves your child to people you dont know but I would recommend anyone to try Lil Scholars. I feel very lucky that there was an opening and my daughter has such amazing and caring teachers. Thank you ladies - you are amazing!

My whole family loves Lil Scholars!! We’ve been there for over a year and love all the people and what they offer. Our child has learned so much there and the teachers absolutely adore the kids. They truly try to get to know al the parents and children that come in and out.

I feel horrible rating this school so poorly because the staff is truly amazing, its just the owner that lacks. HORRIBLY treated, very condescending, and unorganized. I have encountered nothing but genuine, happy staff the whole time. Its a bummer when one person ruins it for everyone else. Glad to be moving my child to another great facility. Any interaction with the owner has been very unprofessional and childish. Im a parent who just moved to Iowa with my bank being out of state and was having problems with the ACH going through. Any time that occurred I would bring cash in the next time I went to the school. I had explained that I had no problem bringing cash in and she was still very rude and unprofessional. I felt as though she was discriminating against me for being a single mother and just assumed I did not have the money. Moving my child and never having to do business with her is the best decision I have ever made.

I love this place so much its the first school my son has been in everyone that works there is so great! Ms cassie ms Tina and me Christina in 301 are the best, so loving and warm my son is excited to see them everyday.

Ms. Kayla is the best! Our son has progressed so much this year and he has learned so much. Ms. Kayla takes the time to help him learn at his speed and always encourages him to accept new challenges.

Miss Rosie, Miss Eugenia and Miss Tess are awesome teachers in room 103! They did a great job helping my son transitioning to little scholars and shared with my the details of the good and tough days!

We love Lil Scholars and our child does too. Friendly staff, helpful management - truly a great experience. We see the results in their dedication to learning and couldnt imagine being anywhere else.Seeing the smile on my daughters face when she walks into her room is the best feeling in the world. We talk about Ms. Melissa and all of the new things she teaches and how shes the best teacher. Ms. Tori gives the best hugs and introduces us to new songs. I know shes in good hands when we shes worried Ms. Gio wont be in class since shes great at making her feel loved and helping her become a big girl.Even though we have moved on to a big girl room, we cannot start our day without giving loves to Ms. Eugenia and Ms. Rose. This is a testament to the impact her teachers from last year had on her. We love going over the Spanish words Mr. Ignacio teaches and I can see that she is starting to grasp it. Ms. Nermina helps her grow strong with the yummy food - and I have a picky eater.

Our family loves Lil Scholars Downtown! Our daughter has learned so much since she started there and she genuinely loves her teachers and friends! Ms Kayla is amazing and Ms Tina, Ms Lyric, Mr Ben, and Mr. Ingaccio (Spanish) make learning so much fun for her. Many thanks to all of you AND to Ms Cassie (301) for getting her started. All of you have provided her a great foundation for future learning!

We recently moved our daughter to Lil Scholars Too in West Des Moines and have been very pleased with our decision. We were looking for a daycare that was focused on open and consistent communication between staff and parents and have had a great experience! In addition to the friendly teachers and their use of the Dojo app (love this!) to share schedules, photos from the day, behavior issues and general notes, there is an occasional email from the center with general news and happenings.

The teachers in my 2.5 year olds classroom are awesome. Ms. Melissa, Ms. Tory, and Ms. Gio not only come up with super creative and fun educational activities, they also have so much love for all the kids in my daughters classroom. We are so grateful for all the teachers at Lil Scholars- love them!

My son started at Lil Scholars in January and I was super nervous about it! His Teachers, Miss Jamie & Miss Amy assured me my son would be ok and constantly sent me pics & updates on Dojo to let me know how things were going. Now, I feel that this was the best decision for my son because he loves his teachers and his friends! He loves going to daycare each day and hates to leave at the end of the day but is always sure to give them hugs before he goes! Miss Jamie and Amy are great teachers that take their jobs seriously and truly have made a great impact on my son!

After visiting multiple daycares, we were thrilled to get into Lil Scholars (downtown) 4 years ago, and have been very pleased with the leadership and wonderful teaching staff. My 4 year old looks forward to seeing Ms. Cassie & Ms. Christina everyday, and comes home so excited to talk about what she did at school. Ms. Darci & Ms. Amber do a fantastic job with the 1 year olds too. We’ve had a great experience all around, and will be sending our 3rd baby soon!

Amazing director, awesome assistant director and a fantabulous teachers and staff. They take good care of your kids.

Our family and our child were poorly treated by the owner of the facility during a difficult time. 2 stars because of the effort the staff puts into their jobs, and because it is the most spotless center I have seen (we toured several before making a decision).

My daughter is a little one that goes to Lil Scholars and I can not thank the staff here enough for taking such great care of my little girl. Ms. Jamie and Ms. Amy are amazing and Alinah feels right at home in their class. I love all the artwork that gets sent home, and I love seeing the smiles on her face in the pictures that they send via the dojo ap during the day. Ms. Jamie and Ms. Amy are GREAT with the children, I am thankful for them everyday.

My 2 kids have gone to Lil Scholars since they were ittybitty babies! My oldest’s moved on to kindergarten and my youngest daughter is in the 2 year old room. Lil Scholars’s staff, teachers over the years have been a blessing! I love the changes and confidence I see in my kids as they grow up at Lil Scholars! Marci’s curriculum is on point when it comes to early childhood education! Ms Nicole (MisMeCole - as pronounced by my daughter) has been the sweetest and my daughter talks about her all the time! She’s patient, always smiling and you can tell she loves what she does! Kudos to you all at Lil Scholars! Love you all loads xoxo!!

My daughter is currently enrolled at Lil Scholars. In her class 202 her favorite teacher is Mrs. Gio. I love the fact the moment I get drop my daughter, she runs to Mrs. Gio the moment she walk in class. Mrs. Gio is always smiling and welcoming. My daughter even asks me for her at home. But I also know that Lil Scholar is great because my daughter is 2 year and had speak problems when she enter a 6monthd again and now she improving with speech and singing ABC’s and can count up to 10. Her class have wonderful teachers and all so helpful and welcoming. But her favorite teacher is Mrs. Gio.

My daughter goes to Lil Scholars on 8th street in West Des moines. And she loves it . The stuff is very nice and always happy very welcoming . Her teachers are also very nice and always giving me updates on everything going on.She is learning alot of new things every day .

Ms crystal, ms laura, ms abri, and ms gio are the reason I can go to work each day, knowing my 3 year old is in safe, caring, loving hands...and I couldnt be more thankful.Then, theres ms kim and ms jenna and ms susie to greet us with a smile, coming and going, each day...and cant forget mr ignacio, or ms amber and ms crystal who know her so well and laid a great foundation when she was a 1 - 2 year old...and are always there to comfort her when she has hard days, even tho shes not in ms ambers class anymore. ms marci and mr tim, youve got a great recipe for success. Dont ever doubt that.And for my bigger girl, ms teresa and mr ignacio made my 11 year olds summer awesome last year!I always know my kids are in good hands at Lil Scholars Down Town.

We have been sending our son to lil scholars too in west Des Moines for about a month and could not be more thrilled! He is 2.5 years old and has learned so much in a short time. I am impressed with the teachers and staff, the organization of the classrooms, the curriculum (even for 2 year olds) and the structure. My son is thriving there and gets excited to go every morning!

My family absolutely adores Lil Scholars Preschool! We finally decided to start our son in preschool this year and were terrified to make the change since we are never apart. We took a tour with Ms. Kim and fell in love with the teachers and school immediately. We went from doubtful to eager by the time the tour ended. Our usually shy child asked us at the end of the tour if we were leaving and if he could stay. We knew for sure then that this would be his school.My son is currently in Ms. Abbies classroom. We hugged each other goodbye and cried his first day. There have been little to no tears since. He loves his teachers and all his friends! Hes always excited to go to school to learn and see his friends and teachers. Its been truly a wonderful experience.I only have one complaint however, my son has reported to me twice that he has been hit by another child( the same child). I understand thats what kids sometimes do, thats not a huge issue, because he still wants to go every single day. I just wish I was informed by his teacher and not my son. He actually comes home excited and says the boy didnt hit me today.Other than that its a great school, hes learned spanish, he already loves learning and its a great place for him to flourish. Hes excelling and learning things 5 year olds do and is doing well. The staff are always smiling and helpful. They just had spirit week and that was fun to participate in for our son. We love the curriculum and our son loves doing homework. Its a great place for children to learn and grow. I recommend them to all my friends and family.

Our 7-year old son started attending Lil Scholars the summer between preschool and Kindergarten. We should have sent him to Lil Scholars for preschool, but instead we paid Des Moines Public Schools for a full-day preschool program. He learned more in three summer months at Lil Scholars than he learned all year at preschool.We trust the teachers and administrative staff to do whats best for our son. Whenever we have a concern, Mrs Marci or Mrs. Kim listen and take care of our concern. We love the school-age teachers who range from high school and college students to adults who have owned daycare centers. There are male teachers!!! This is very important to us because our son needs strong male role models in every area of his life. The ethnic and racial diversity among teachers and students is preparing our son for success in a global world, where differences are celebrated not denigrated.We have very high standards and expectations for the childcare services that we pay for. We have pulled our son out of several Des Moines programs because our son was being mistreated. Lil Scholars is a blessing to our family and our son. We know he is safe and cared for, yet provided with boundaries that are reinforced at home, like being respectful, using words/ not hitting when frustrated, taking turns, and offering help to others. Most days he doesnt want to leave because he is having so much fun!If our son wants to go to Lil Scholars after being there for almost 3 years, we know he is getting what he needs. Thank you Mrs. Marci and Staff for making Lil Scholars a place that our son wants to be and a place that we can trust!
