The school has failed at doing something they should do. Teachers try to force students to go into tranition at an other school in the district when the student is graduate. I tried asking teachers to help me find a job. They just sat back and did nothing.Took me a year to find one on my own after I left this place. Teachers even force students to go to college. From what Im hearing the teachers are telling the students therere depressed and have no joy. Teachers even tell student they are suicidal. Its really sad that the teachers cant do their jobs. This school is not what it used to be. I hate to say this but the teachers should not be teaching students this school needs to be shut down.

Just finished. Let me tell you. They lack subject knowledge. Poor classroom control. They can’t diagnose learning problems. Full of flawed methods. No goals at all. All and all just seems like a very unprofessional high school. Good luck to all whom enter.

Maine west is a fair school, those who didnt like are generally those who didnt try to achieve the best they could or use the resources Maine West had to offer, many successful students of Maine West went on to go to college and get careers because they used Maine West to their advantage, unlike those who just went from class to class not paying attention and slacking of to in the end blame the school. That aside the school does have some faults, for one and the biggest one how they deal with fights, the policy over there is if you dare defend yourself while getting beat you will get equal punishment, another major fault from the school is how they handle bullying, most of the time they just bring in the victim and the bully to talk it out and when the bully has lied his way into the satisfaction of the deans both people are let go. Only for the next day the bullies friends make fun of the victim for snitching and the cycle continues. Overall Maine West is a school where if you play your cards right could lead you to a better future or a part time job

Everyday madness at the parking and its still summer, wait till snow comes, like nobody thinks how many cars is coming at the same time to pickup child, WHY THERE IS. NO SCHOOL BUS SERVICE ? Cant you let half a sxhool let go 30 mins earlier ? One parent have to get rid of her/his job just to bring and pickup kid from school. Unorgenized place !!!

Iam senior at Mwhs and this school use to be good everyone was laid back and chill and had great school spirit.Now this school has turn ghetto and there’s fights here every week no one could act like people and there’s a lot of wrong doings in this school it’s not the same from when I stared back in the fall of 2015

I will be pulling my Daughter out of this school .After the finals as of 12/20/18My Daughter is not an angel but in this school they do not help or watch for Bullies..and if your kid confronts and pushes or hits, they will suspend your kid but nothing to the others.A fkn joke! Hiting and pushing is not right but they failed to do anything with the bullies.Too many kids with to many problems in this school..Be aware of the Trailer homes right across the school where theres a lot of troubled kids.I feel sorry for them but if youre taking your kid here make sure they choose the right friends because they will quickly fall into bad and wrong doings.Ill be Home schooling my Daughter.Private schools are better and worth it.

I liked Maine west cuz its filled with swag and i live that swag/yolo life. Im barely in college at the oakton college meant for its community. My favorite memory about mw was when i would ask to get a drink of water and they would say no because i would ask like every day. Maine West prepared me to its fullest ability. Thanks Maine West!!!!
