I wish I could give it zero. We are almost a month into virtual school and one of my still does have the right sign-in have been told multiple times the principal was going to call no calls yet from the school. Also my other child can not take his test because the school ran out of laptops. Find another school this school wasn’t the best before.

I am a former student of Old Redford Academy, went there from first through eighth grade & it was honestly the best decision my mother had ever made! These teachers TEACH, I learned so much & grew so smart . They offer all sorts of resources that are very beneficial to the students! This school had a whole program called “peer mediation” which allowed the students to sit with another student they were having issues with & talk it out or come to some sort of solution for their problems. They also had “boys to men” which is a program for boys with behavior issues, it was for the students to connect & solve their issues as well. The only bad thing that I would consider a bad thing about this school as a child was how strict they were! No nail polish, had to be in FULL UNIFORM, no jewelry, boys couldn’t have high fros... the uniform was very formal, kids couldn’t really express themselves with their uniform but that’s about it. The teachers were lovely, I loved all my elementary school teachers! My kindergarten school was ROUGH, the older kids basically bullied the younger kids & Old Redford doesn’t allow any kind of bullying WHAT SO EVER, no fighting, none of that. I highly recommend this school to any parent who’s looking for a school that their child can feel safe & get their education.P.s. I’m only writing this review because I want every one to be allowed to get a REAL & RAW review from an inside viewer, a student who actually attended the school & know what it’s like. It’s a lot of mad parents on here who probably got mad at someone there & decided to write a bad review, but this is my honest REVIEW, AS A FORMER STUDENT . I’m 19 years old now

I have went to the school for two years I like it but at the same time I don’t think the teachers are really nice so I don’t know what all you people are talking about I’ll give you one star because I really don’t like how they have indoor dismissal a happy just let the middle school kids are on their own I’m in middle school kid so I really don’t like it and I don’t think either of the kids like either because it’s kind of not safe and they have like lots of cars coming through so I think they should like have the teachers come out with the kids and stay in and wait for their panels on the pants and come talk to the teacher to tell them that my kids walk home or something I won’t call with my little sister so like I think it’s just not safe and the school is OK there’s lots of fights but the teachers are teaching us something and the principle is very harsh on this because he wants us to know we have to do better things the only really want to do like say if I want to like do something bad or something light that he’ll say why do you want to do this you don’t want to get suspended do you say no but I almost got suspended because this girl can’t say I’m not going to spank you because I know you’re a good kid and I know you’ll be here through your street so I’m not going to stay here I’m gonna spend the other girl I have a long record of her so like he’s very cool he’s he’s nice would you just don’t want to be on his best side because if you are the best you can get back in Gaza real good I’m leave it open for academy in March because I’m going to a school that is going to provide good things for me we don’t wear uniform which is great because I have a whole closet full of clothes like pink Victoria’s Secret forever 21 and a lot of stuff so if you think you like over for the Academy please comment good things about the school if you don’t like you don’t come back on this site because you don’t belong here

We often critique what is wrong but never put the same energy into publizing the good. Today, ORAE hosted the Royal Ball for students who achieved great scores on their standardized testing. I felt so welcomed from the time I arrived and was sad to leave like the kids at the end of the dance. The food was amazing, entertainment great, and it was fun to see the staff let loose and have fun with everyone!! Great Job, staff! Im excited to see what you have in store for next year!

This School is horrible they dont Teach the Kids anything they also dont have any activities or take the kids on field trips.the Teachers are lazy.My nephew went there for a year and learned nothing.there is always Teachers getting fired or quiting.They have a stupid thing called indoor dismissal so that they dont have to go out doors to pay attention to the students safety while being picked up by parents. The school is full of substitute teachers so your kid never gets a chance to develop a good relationship or understanding of one Teacher its a nightmare for kids. Please dont disregard this massage like my brother did on the reviews DONT PUT YOUR BABY IN THIS SCHOOL the office also have rude staff.there no organization when dropping kids off in morning which calls parents to fight with each other and no parking lot.I hope this message is heard.

I only gave it one star to make my comment! Old Redford... my daughter has been there since pre-k and is now in 2nd grade.....nothing has improved. You havent offered any extra curricular activities and during her 1st grade school year she only recieved homework twice and I had to go REQUEST it from the teacher. Now you alo have changed the uniform policy and she isnt allowed to wear skirts, skorts, or dresses?! Im over it and shell be transferring soon.

The people in the office andd security are lazy. Teachers dont fix problems with the kids in the class. I would only remand this school to someone I dont like

This school is awful my son FRESH PRINCE of FTC was booked for a birthday the lady in the office gave us such a hard time at the door children arent allowed to celebrate their birthday in school WOW just take all the fun away from kids 🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓

Old Redfird Academy does not teach. My daughter learned nothing but bad habits.

Ive been going to old redford since i was in preschool now im going to 4th grade and its really nice the teacher are nice its always organized at every event
