Sitting here at Fortis College in Dothan Alabama waiting on my Daughter Alexis to work this day out.........

I can only speak to the HVAC program here, avoid it. This place is a diploma mill. Everything they promise you in the sales pitch is a lie. This is one of the most expensive HVAC programs in the country, and you wont even get an A.A.S. degree out of it. They dont have the proper equipment to train you. They dont have the proper faculty to teach you. They dont have the proper staff to manage the program. Most of your class time will consist of study hall time where you ask why am I even here? I can read my text book at home. You wont follow the curriculum, most classes will be well what do you guys wanna work on? Theyll give you the answers to the tests right before the tests. You wont be graded on practical application. You wont even be evaluated on whether or not you can apply the trade practically. Hey, this place is great if you just want a certificate that says you did it. It stinks to high heaven if you actually want to learn something.

Fortis College is a wonderful place to get started preparing for your new career. You will not find a more dedicated and caring faculty in staff.

You cant just rate a school on the teachers devotion to there students ! Try rating it on number of students finding a job 40,000 dollars later in a state other than Alabama ! you should really do your research on the school you want to go to. Just saying ! I went I loved all my teacher but Maybe one, and the school but as far as getting to work after I grad lmfao. Companys laughed in my face caus they didnt even know who I had certifications from. So one month after getting all my stuff done I had to pay a few hundred bucks just to get a job in Florida. Something they dont tell there students until its to late!! Loved my time at Fortis, love the friends I made but all in all it wasnt worth the money I have to pay back. Sorry
